I can see maybe a wall being built, even some illegal immigrants being deported. But ending birthright citizenship is a pipe-dream and not realistic.

This great nation has landed a man on the moon, abolished slavery, instituted civil rights, created and popularized the internet, helped end 2 World Wars, etc. Ending birthright citizenship will not be nearly so difficult as those aforementioned great accomplishments, but is even more necessary. !Viva el Trump!

Ending birthright citizenship doesn't make or break the deal. We can still stop people from using their baby as an anchor baby. Lets also be honest with ourselves. We will not stop 100% of illegal immigration but we can certainly get it under control.

The way all those women and children were allowed to enter the country over the last few years was an absolute disgrace and with each few thousand we allowed to stay(or caught and released, never to be seen again) that many more saw an opportunity. They saw opportunity in a country that can give them a better life without deportation which makes it worth all the risks of the journey.

If the 14th Amendment is supposed to allow for this, then why do we have 8 U.S.C. 1401?

Relevant portions of this section that allow for citizenship include:

(a) a person born in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof;
(f) a person of unknown parentage found in the United States while under the age of five years, until shown, prior to his attaining the age of twenty-one years, not to have been born in the United States;

The phrase "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" appears to encompass far less than people suppose, otherwise why would you have a section such as section f)?

Haven't bothered to look up the legislative history of this, but I'm sure it's pretty interesting.

Jus Solis had its use when nations that relied in inmigrations to increase their populations have to put some order. The USA, Argentina and other "melting pots" need it to "create" their populations. You can see it in this map:

Deep blue is for unconditional Jus Solis, teal is for restricted Jus Solis.

But now that "tool" is beign abused for poor inmigrants looking for greener pastures in detriment of the now "local" populations. You in the US are luckier as your Consitution can be more easily modified than in Argentina, for example. More and more people is beggining to ask for a change from Jus Solis to Jus Sanguinis in response to the abuse that derive from it.

The U.S. constitution cannot be modified to please one group over another. The founding fathers made sure of that and purposely made it hard to override or modify amendments. Have you been paying attention? Trump has demonstrated his ability to rally outside of the DC establishment.

He could easily get a constitutional amendment passed with 2/3's of the state's votes once he assumes office. He is going to be a massively popular leader and his first 100 days will be a game changer. Trump is looking to be one of the most powerful presidents America will have in the 21st century.

That is going to be his most tempting moment. It will probably take close to $1 billion dollars to take on Hillary. Although Trump technically has that and more, he doesn't likely have it just lying around in a liquid state that is easily accessed and moreover, that wouldn't be missed. $1 billion is a lot of money to everyone who isn't a leftist-statist government with access to its own money printing press. So the real question will then be whether he accepts the money (or some of it) or not. If he does, however, he becomes part of the same establishment of bought-and-paid-for candidates that he (mostly rightfully) rails against. The establishment guys know this is their ace in the hole too, as it is hard to turn down that kind of ability to raise badly needed money to run against a very well-funded candidate.

That would be an outright existential crisis. I do wonder if he would choose to take the financial hit himself so he doesn't lose a key part of his "independence".

An interesting dilemma, albeit one for the future.

Trump spoke about that at the Iowa State Fair, when he said he turned down a $5 million campaign contribution because then he would want to help out people that helped him out, and that is what he is running against.

No question he's been consistent on not accepting money for the nomination run. But he isn't yet staring the high 9-figure bill in the face from a national campaign. The primary runs are significantly cheaper. Also his opponents are "friendlier" for the most part. The Republican establishment may be hostile to him, and openly so, but don't underestimate the power of being the front-runner on taming what they are prepared to say about him and do to him. People like to win more than to lose. There are some things that even they won't say about someone who is seeking the Republican nomination when it looks like he is the more popular choice.

For example, they aren't running round-the-clock, Super-PAC funded, hit pieces and character assassinations on his ass the way the Democrats will. The temptations of soft-money to counter that will be significant.

Don't get me wrong, I find his commitment to self-funding appealing and I hope he would stay principled and not cave in such a situation. But we are talking almost a billion - with a "B".

He's already stated he is prepared to spend 1 billion of his own money for the campaign.

Go look at the Iowa Q&A session a few pages back, I think he said it there or in the NH Winnacunnet High School speech.

Not sure why guys think he wouldn't spend his money on this. What else is there for him to spend money on? This is how Christians behave, they act for the good of others because it is more fulfilling than satisfying yourself.

Trump's ascent continues to amaze, even for those of us who predicted it. I would kill to be a fly on the wall at the GOP national HQ and in the other candidates' war rooms. What must they be thinking and saying at this point? They're getting absolutely obliterated in embarrassing fashion. This man, whom they consider a buffoon, a political novice, an outsider, is completely and utterly schooling the entire bench of GOP candidates, and he is only gaining momentum. I mean, I think Trump is literally causing panic attacks and possibly even sporadic pants-shitting among the GOP elite at this point. The entire facade of the GOP as representing conservative principles is crumbling to dust in the wake of Trump's brutal populist onslaught.

I think the point of no return for the GOP is rapidly approaching: either they get fully on board the Trump train and go full steam ahead to crush Hillary/Sanders/Biden, or else they cement themselves as the ultimate turncoat cuckservatives and find some pretext to expel Trump from the party before he starts winning the early primaries. Talk about being stuck between a rock and a hard place, though: it's clear that whichever option they choose, the GOP as we know it will be over. It will either be totally transformed in the image of Trump, or it will likely cease to exist as a national party after Trump gets expelled and takes millions of angry voters with him - and not just in the 2016 elections - but likely in forming a nationalist third party going forward.

Trump can start by repealing Obama's executive orders.

And then why not build a wall bt executive decree?

A lot of what he has talked about is also treaties negotiated with other countries, which are negotiated and then just sent to congress for approval.

That is not to say hevwill do 100% of what he wants and will not change on some issues, but he has as much a chance ad Clinton or Bush withouta doubt.

Actually, if the GOP were to truly shaft him in a very obvious way I think he could still win by running independent. People on the GOP fence will be pissed about it and swing for Trump. Also, I truly believe that trump is going to steal a chunk of the democratic vote and most of the republican voters who don't like him will know that they must vote for him because the GOP candidate will be trailing in the polls so badly. They will realize that their ideas aren't that different from Trumps and that he is much better than Hilary or Bernie in their eyes. Normally I might not say that but the GOP voters are so tired of Obama and they are scared to death to have 4 more years of anything similar.

The GOP shafting him in an obvious manner could be their death sentence.

I think he would have a really really hard time winning as an independent, but he would split the votes and hurt the Repubs more then the Dems. He knows that, which is why he is threatening to run Independent. Its just a leverage play and he knows how to use it.

I agree that its only being used for leverage but if they truly give him the shaft in a very obvious way, and knowing the GOP they just may, he will do it.

plus, what is with these iphone/smartphone wearing chumps just doing their own thing? What are you doing you stupid fucks! I'd be asking him all sort of presidential and business questions until he told me to shut up.

Check the body language of the women all around him in the iphone shot. They are as intimidated as fuck. The one next to him is leaning away from him, and the others have their heads down, not even daring to look at him. Trump? Holding frame.

And the report indicates it took ten full minutes for someone in the mob to call out "Save this country, will you?" That's it. Nobody fucking dared to abuse him, not in a courthouse, and not on the street, either.

Trump against Zuckerberg on H1B visa's.

http://money.cnn.com/2015/08/17/news/com...oplead-dom

Donald Trump has a new target for his criticism of the nation's immigration policies - Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.
Zuckerberg is one of the leading tech executives who has called for a more open immigration policy. Specifically, he wants to make more H-1B visas available to tech employers so they can hire foreign skilled workers.

Facebook, Microsoft and Yahoo are all behind Cuck's FWD.us organization that wants to vastly increase H1B's to bring in more cheap Indian coders to replace Americans.

His interviews are hilarious. These reporters quote him with something and they expect him to backtrack, instead he owns it and repeats it.

"You say that our leaders are incompetent and that we need you because you'll make other foreign leaders do what you tell them to do".

Pause.

"That's right they'll do what I tell them to do".

The vast majority of reporters are left wing manginas that would jump ten feet in the air if he said "Boo!"

They simply do not understand persuasion and force of personality, and have no chance combating him. Edit-So they do what any other mangina does; Slag him on social media and in articles that twist his words. I was initially dismissive of Trump.

I'm starting to come around to the idea of changing my opinion. His message and his campaigning have so far been fantastic, and I can't deny it.

We sure as hell need someone with balls, and all the other candidates look like pathetic losers in comparison to him.

He's convincing me, and I intend to vote for him.

His personal faults are outweighed by the positive effect he's had so far.
