I hope none of you were the white boys rolling into Route 66 tonight spam approaching like crazy and thinking you'll get somewhere. Was truly embarrassing and makes everyone else's job so much harder to seperate themselves from that. Luckily enough, I didn't make one approach all night and one of the best looking girls in the club approached me because I was just dancing and having a good time. Lesson for all you spam approaches out there who think you're white gods just because you walk into a Bangkok club.

I guess PUA culture has leaked into Asia now, I saw this happening in Canada before and I didn't expect it to make it all the wayt here.

So what's the general consencous on ONYX? Was considering checking it out tonight but there's a 500 baht entrance fee and I'm sure Ive read that the Thais in there don't really like Foreigners and it's difficult to pull solo.

Nope. What's that like? Is it a big venue? What type of music/girls does it attract?

I tried Onyx a few times. Only pulled once. The girls are wayyyy hotter, but it's way more cliques. People literally go there in groups of 12. That's hard to infiltrate, especially solo.

You have to run real high energy. 500 baht is negligible. Use it towards drinks. I'll stop by in there soon again. But don't expect much unless you are very good looking and run tight night game. Really need both.

Basically, I would be careful in there. I'm Asian and had two drinks thrown at me by Thai guys who looked like they wanted to kill me (my approach is not lowkey tho)

Went to Beam tonight. Wasn't really impressed as the venue only had 2 small dance floors and there weren't many targets. Quite a few western guys in there as well. Closed at 2am on the dot and some girls tried to drag me to Demo but I chose to get some fried chicken and go home to sleep instead.

I've never had a drink thrown at me and I run agreesive go fuck yourself game. Im not a big guy, but some say kinda crazy. I'd probably fight them, out of principle, and lose.

The more I think about it Onyx is probably the right move, unfortunately it's very difficult. Need a lot of mental stamina. Low ROI.

Maybe I was just unlucky that night. I think I saw on here that someone got jumped outside Onyx once, could be wrong

Not trying to fearmonger but I'm the type that doesn't want to get murked in a third world country and disappear without a trace in the absence of actual law and order

Besides Route 66 is easy street tho quality is lower

Sounds like a fun party, don't be ridiculous.

I've been to Onyx multiple times but never solo and even though Onyx and Route are literally 10M away from each other it's a completely different vibe.

Route is more of a fun, international, down to earth club scene. Onyx is cliquey, dark, primarily local/asian. If they were movies, Route would be Hangover and Onyx would be a Bond movie.

Onyx usually has way hotter girls, but good luck closing them. I'd recommend going with a group and picking off the smaller girl groups(2-3) in there. Yes, small all girl groups do exist in Onyx. No, they are not common. Min 6 people mixed sets are the average.

Best way to describe Onyx for those for you who have clubbed in East Asia proper or been to primarily Asian clubs in the west is like going to one of those places.

I was there in August 2014. Paid 200 baht to some people in the basement and even got a flashlight and a helmet for it. A couple of months later a swedish guy killed himself in the same building, which drew a lot of attention and police to the Ghost Tower. I think nowadays it is not possible any more to get on top.

On the Onyx topic one thing to bear in mind is that a huge percentage of the girls in there at any given time are working. Now not as in looking for a punter working but been pre booked to go with a bunch of guys to entertain.

Anyway that's why they can be a bit stand offish.

My buddy is an agent for many of them mainly supplying Thai, Singaporean and Chinese punters and Onyx is the go to venue for posing with your trophies for the night.

^^Just to clarify, are you saying these girls are paid just to accompany guys and not to have sex? I never got the impression the majority of girls at Onyx were semi-pros/pros like other obvious places on Sukhumvit.

That's exactly what I'm saying, some may pay more for sex but the reality is a lot of these girls are getting paid 3k+ to just hang out and party. It's a mix of guys being lazy and using them for "social proof"

These are intsagram "models", FHM/Maxim girls, car show etc. They all have their price, won't find them touting for business though,and they'll rarely admit it directly, it's all done very discretely through agents.

A lot are also GClub girls who are either on night off and out with customers or been paid out of their club for the night.

Just rolled into BKK for a few months and I wanted to hear from those of you who know this place better than I some recommendations on:

1. Gyms / trainers: Went into Fitness First in Siam Paragon and was pretty disturbed by the fact that I was in better shape than all of the male trainers. Ditto for my girl. (I know Thais don't really work out, but jeez - these guys all had BAs in fitness related fields supposedly...)
2. Will likely need to take some clients out to a g club in town at some point soon. What's the best one in town these days? (Money isn't an issue)

Doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Do you have any other insights or stories? I think almost all Singaporeans and Koreans coming to Bangkok are paying their way. Singaporeans especially are the thirstiest I've ever seen in Asia. Koreans do it more out of cultural reasons.
