Not really something you can explain. Pull up some ground footage videos on youtube of Vietnam. Bangkok is much more modern and organized in many ways.

I'm not nightlife expert but I know places in Vietnam are open pretty late and it's not just on the weekend. There is also a backpacker street similar to Khaosan (or however you spell it) where people party late every night of the week. Not my thing but great place to get street food at 2AM.

Vietnam is a very different culture. Different looks. Commie spots of interest. Rough and raw.

Myanmar is very traditional. Amazing and unforgettable place.

You aren't going to find any city with the nightlife that Bangkok provides. Saigon is pretty limited by night unless you are hooked up. Even Tokyo clubs suck in comparison to Bangkok. Not sure what exactly you are bored of?

I just feel like I should be experiencing a different culture while I'm in Asia and seeing different places. Maybe "bored" was the wrong choice of words but I'm just getting itchy feet to see what else is out there. Interesting comment on Tokyo clubs. Out of curiosity, which clubs do you frequent in Bangkok?

I agree with Bushido. Go to Myanmar for the experience. I spent a week in Bagan, really liked it. You could compare it to Angkor Wat, except that the area is more spread out and there are way less tourists. I spent a few sunrises by myself on deserted temples. Yangon is cool too. As for Vietnam, I do agree that the food is better then Thai food. But being back in Vietnam now and having just returned from Bangkok for the umpteeth time, you can't beat Bangkok nightlife compared to Hanoi or Saigon.

There are four distinct cultures right here in Thailand. Have you spent any time in any of the non touristed Lanna provinces? What about Issan or the South, and Chiang Mai, Samui, Phuket and Bangkok don't count if your looking to delve into the local culture of the area. Try spending a week in Nan, which was essentially cut off from the rest of Thailand for hundreds of years. In the Northern city I live in the lingua franca is Lanna and when you spend significant time in any of the four regions you realize that even the nature of the locals are different from one area to the next. Just today the college had a Christmas/New Years party for the staff and other than Som Tam every other dish was local with many Bangkokians never having tasted several of them because they are even hard to find in the restaurants in town. Myanmar is even more culturally distinct and the Burmese in southern Shan State have a lot more in common with locals from Chiang Rai than a Bamar. If you do go to Myanmar try the Burmese Himalayas, one of the most interesting places I have visited in SEA.

I've never used Tailors on Ten but I think you'd get the best bang for your buck there. Those guys have good service, I chatted with them over email and dropped in the store.

Protip: to get the best value for your money, you'd have to source the fabric yourself and take the fabric to a shop that does the actual cutting and stitching. You'd have to speak Thai and/or bring along someone that does. A few expats have gotten full suits quality made pure wool(because they were in control of the process) for 10K<baht.

I second the suggestion for Tailor on Ten. It's not the cheapest, but it's good quality and it lasts longer then other tailors. I just got back from Bangkok last week and had two shirts made. Before that I was there in July for 2 pants and 5 shirts. Excellent quality. I work in Asia so I prefer a light fabric, the one they recommend is 2500 baht per shirt. Not cheap, but I guess it's worth it. Some cool options to customize parts of the shirt too.

Word of advice, this supposedly is their busy period. The one thing I do not like is that they sometimes say (after you've come in on an appointment) that they might not be able to finish in the few days agreed, and if they can ship it to you. Since I live in an Asian country with terrible shipping experiences, that would not work for me. I got them to finish my stuff a few hours before I had to leave for the airport, but make sure you agree what you want and when. If you go, it's best to email them and make an appointment. They easily get 50 people a day in their shop. It's on Sukhumvit at the back of Soi 8.

Yes RCA is where you should be playing the game at. Both Onyx and Route 66 are located there. These are very decent venues which attract normal girls.

Tinder is now hit mainstream in most asian countries, your previous post about filled with farang hunters is probably outdated. TF probably your best bet.
