Ease up a bit... my formula has changed a bit over the years, and I HATE, HATE, HATE the idea of waiting a couple days to send the first text. I think it's stupid, gives the girl a chance to meet someone else/forget you, and ultimately increases your flake rate. That's why, I usually hit them up the following evening, unless I met them Thursday or Friday, then I do Saturday between 3 and 5.

Anyhow, while I try to keep things logistical, I normally don't suggest a date the first time I text a girl. Play a little of their stupid text games, just so they get more comfortable, possibly even work in a call.

My strategy is to talk about things we could do when we hang out, without suggesting an actual time, and hope that they ask "Well, when will we do that?" Now you have the green light, and they've got it in their heads they want to hang out and don't feel pressured to hang out. Doesn't work all the time, and in those cases shift gears, but when they ask, they'll almost never flake.

Setup a date for 8:30, text her at 5 saying ill call her when im out of the gym to roll out, its 7 right now. She texts me saying shes "running late, maybe 10 ?"

The place were going closes at 10.

Should i even respond, work with 10 for another place, counter her offer for another day?

Note: Ive got an easy lay i can fall back on tonight.
Brodiaga · 2014-07-29 21:08:00 · #878
Is that place near your apartment? If so, maybe you can still meet near there, say you didn't know it would be closed, then use it as an excuse to bounce to your place?
kaotic · 2014-07-29 21:15:00 · #879
Negatory, its right by my work (30 mins away from home). Close to her pad, doesn't live by herself, assuming with parents. Logistics seem to be a nightmare, I just wanna meet her face to face, it's an OKC match. Don't have much invested.
Brodiaga · 2014-07-29 21:29:00 · #880
If you're not very invested, can you offer to meet somewhere closer to your place (a bar/lounge), cause you'll be home already by 10. If she agrees, fine, if not, whatever.

Texted a cute girl I danced with an number closed with Roosh standard "hey charlie its xxx how are you"

She didnt respond for one day. I was thinking next.

This morning she texted back with full details "Hi Im busy working and its hot in the office. Lucky u if u get to enjoy the outdoors"

Scratching my head right here.... Why did she wait one day to reply with a text that signal interest?

Anyway gonna ask her to go dance again. Wondering if I should inject something to address her text in additional to asking her out?

Jesus all my options fell through last night.

Anyways I told her around 7:30 that id be home by 10, cruise out this way and we'll grab a drink.

Fell asleep, around 11 she texts "haha. I got too drunk. I'm sorry" "And my phone died..."

I'm not gonna even bother texting back for a bit.

When I send a restart text should I leverage her flaking to plan a meetup ? or should I just ignore it and just hit her up to go out ?

I'm thinking I wait a day before I even text her back.

I think I found out a good way to call out girls on "plans" they have when you set a time to hangout with them. It also tells you if you've got any current competition, if she's telling the truth (usually she'll explain her reason for "plans"), and puts you in a good frame

It's more a funny cocky approach in joke form rather than angry wtf flake form:

Read the screenshots: http://www.rooshvforum.com/thread-19115-...#pid770272

There is a reddit link: http://i.imgur.com/KNbt04t.png

girl: "i'll be in x town" or "i already have plans in the city" or "I have x to" etc etc.

Reply and Rephrase this as: Look we all know I'm more fun than "ill be out of town" guy, you can cancel on him, he'll understand Wink

^^^you can always mix this up, as long as you call her plans out as going out with another guy.

Girl: No really I've got blah blah. OR I just can't flake on him or he's pretty fun actually blah blah.

If she tells the truth, cool, reschedule. If she laughs and admits there is another guy or hints to it, do the following:

"Well when he gets boring, and he will be, you can buy me the first round when we hangout" or "when he bores you, and he will, hit me up and you can buy the first round"

^^^you can always mix this up as well

This does 2 things, it shows you don't care she's going on a date with someone else, and you're putting the pressure on the other dude in the hopes she doesn't find him boring.

I've done this 3 times in the last day and a half and have received nothing but a laugh and positive responses towards me. Also rescheduled some dates as well.

I told this girl how this guy would be boring and when I'm back in town monday that she'll owe me a drink. She responded by saying "if I'm not with him, then yes" to which I replied "sounds like marriage already" to which she said " HAHA no way" ----to me this is a positive reaction to her.

I know this is a long read, but I'm wired on coffee and excited that this has worked in a positive way, so I thought I'd share it.

What is a great reply / technique to isolate a girl when she wants to meet you "with her friends"?

I get this sometimes when arriving to a new country, using non-dating sites.

I have numbers from girls like that. If they piss me off (promise to meet up, then flake), then I normally just delete their numbers. If they are timewasters (say let's confirm the time later this week, then never respond, etc), I spam them from time to time just for the hell of it.

Staros,
I say "Bring 2 friends. My buddy's picky."

Her friend won't want to be judged, so she'll bail.
If she does come, she's probably hot. Call a friend.
If she brings 2 friends, you are the stud out with 3 girls for the night.

lol

So, I texted a girl yesterday:

Yo lets hang out

her reply is legendary in my eyes for multiple reasons: she replied exactly 12 hours later and with a single word:

"Soon"

I know I should next her, but that soon was pretty damn epic. Lmao
I'm stealing that shit from her.

This is definitely a "next" worthy reply.

texted a girl from my social circle that had a thing for me that i haven't seen for a year or two

"sup"

what do i say

Going back and forth with a girl, she gave me a raincheck a few days ago for a second date:

So I redeemed it tonight, she's interested:

girl: ok. what do you want to do ?
kaotic: oh you know long walks on the beach, poetry, then load up the rifles and go zombie hunting...
girl: haha sounds like a pretty mellow friday
kaotic:absolutely, I need it after last nights madness.

girl: I'm afraid to ask what madness you got into last night
kaotic:i'll you tonight over a few drinks and netflix, it's a great laugh.
girl: haha wow you really know how to wow a girl.

few responses I'd love to drop:

"being wowed is earned lady, we'll see if you deserve it"
"and why should I be wowing you?"
"what can I say, that's how I get all the ladies"
"I sure do, why do you think they can't keep their hands off me ?"

The purpose is to neg her, maintain frame (and keep my plans for night in place), and challenge her to basically show her value to me "sell me on yourself"

Any of you guys have some better ideas on how to respond ? I've got some good responses, just curious to what some of the seasoned vets would say here.

I wouldn't over-do it over text.

"Yea, come through at 9"

I haven't checked in on this thread in a few weeks

Who's our resident text expert now that CMQ is gone?

Where is CMQ? I'm by no means an expert (we're all learning as the game evolves), but I started the damn thread, so I feel it's my duty to try to help out as much as I can now.

You gave her very little, she gave you very little back, fair move on her part.

I've done this before (usually drunk), and when I got something like that back, I'd ask, "Hey, is this still girl-x?"

If you banged her previously, this is a lot easier, and if not, it's still worth the minimal time investment, but understand this isn't likely to go anywhere.

Don't just next her, lightly troll her. I don't know the background story here, but who knows, maybe you'll get a few more gems to steal.

She didn't really signal interest, IMO. She's being nice, and/or just bored and wanted some attention here. This is worth responding though, IMO, but the fact that she took so long and didn't ask you a question isn't good. I wouldn't ask her out right away here, because of that lack of interest.

Let's try a, "Oh, you're the outdoors type?" And see what she reveals to you. If you get nothing to work with back, you can safely move on.

I'm talking to a girl and I sent her "k"

She responded with "Please don't "k" me"

How do I handle this? The troll in me says to respond with another "k", but that also feels a bit too juvenile.

We need some context. Why'd you text "k"?

She's being rude, and an asshole, send that next K, she's earned it.

You reap what you sow..

A lot of the guys in this thread are sending out messages of high value and low contact but it is not representative of their status in their eyes.

Text game is just comfort and banter without grammar at well-timed intervals. If you sent me 'k', even if you were my friend, I would be pissed. Use their investment positively; if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all.

We are hanging out tonight, and she asked me what I was expecting. I said I just expected a pleasant evening that lets me get to the airport for my flight on time, to which she responded "Good call". Then I said "You expected something else" and she responded "I didn't. That's why I asked." Which is where I said "K"

Fair point. I ended up just blowing past it and asked what is worth seeing in the city I'm meeting her in. I've never been there before, but it's where she grew up.

Say you've asked a girl out twice by text already. She always responds back, sometimes even with long texts using exclamation points. But, she keeps making excuses about not going out. I was going to reinitiate next week sometime and go for one more meet up.

I'm pretty sure she's been moving as she mentioned it when we I got her number at whole foods. Then, she asked for a rain check the night before our first coffee date because she was moving that weekend and her and her roommate got their keys early. When I texted her a few days later she responded that she was still in the moving process but mostly done, then, when I asked her availability for one evening over the next week, she stalled on meeting up again.

I was thinking of prefacing this last text offer which I'll send sometime next week to meet with something like: "Okay last chance..." or " thought I'd ask one last time...." instead of just " drinks later this week?" as I've basically already done twice.

If she says no the third time, I'll next her.

Mistake to do this? Thoughts?

Has she offered an alternative when stalling? If not, tell her you have a friend in town and you will be in touch in a week or so. Don’t mention meeting up. I wouldn’t give her a ultimatum like saying “Last chance”. Focus on other girls and reengage in a week or two.

I wouldn't do that, it comes across as having a chip on your shoulder and like your invested in the interaction.
