Okay, which one of you is Iron Eyes!
From the comments:
IronEyes
1.The author is not bad looking but the problem is she thinks she is much more attractive than she is. She needs to realize she has hit the infamous post 30 wall and men will not be as attracted to her as they were when she was below that age. Simple fact no matter how much feminist want to shame men for being attracted to younger women.
2. Women in America get so angry about facts. Women in other countries who have hit the wall accept the reality and don't get angry at men for dating younger women because they know they were that younger woman once. In fact women here are simply angry about everything. Boris probably didn't want her because she is American and he can have a sweet, hot, feminine 21 year old Russian from his home country instead.
3.The use of the word accomplished is annoying and was most likely the thing that turned Boris off even before he saw her pictures. Notice that is what most men who have commented here have mentioned besides her looks. When will you women realize we don't care about your You Go Girl mentality. More than anything we want a sweet feminine woman who doesn't wake up everyday trying to think of new ways to make us miserable. Speaking of which...poor Bill Clinton.
Am I old too when I just know Eva Mendes and Jennifer Anniston but not those young girls?

I had to look them up too. I know women base their life on celebrities, so for comparison sake I looked up some hot, young actresses and came across those three.

My god. Here's an even better picture of Miss "Above Average" from her Instagram:
Let's see- She's 32 and has had "no luck at all" dating for the past
seven years since moving to LA. A guy she felt she was hitting it off with via text abruptly lost interest as soon as he saw some photos of her. She surely looks at that painfully oversized body in the mirror on a routine basis.
Yet she still believes she's attractive.
Let that sink in. This woman's life is a constant barrage of feedback that she's not very good looking, yet somehow she has managed to delude herself that she's "above average" and men just have unreasonable standards. Even worse, it looks like she has some potential due to decent genetics, but apparently those 7 years of dating failure haven't motivated her to get in reasonably good shape.
And there's still this idea in society at large that women struggle with their self esteem. This woman thinking she's attractive, and girls struggling with self-esteem, are not two concepts that can coexist in the same universe.
There were plenty of negative comments on the article, but no one was willing to break taboo enough to come right out and say she's fat. I really think society would be much better off without that taboo, as maybe some women like this would have an epiphany and start eating/exercising better before it's too late.
And now for some well-earned eye bleach:

^^^geez, and again, she looks a lot older than 32.
Interesting that she uses the word 'humility' twice when clearly she doesn't have it. It amazes me how some women use words to describe either themselves or others when they clearly of no clue what they really mean. For example, her humility involves bragging about going to a party, liking a younger guy who she thinks is physically attractive, then having a meltdown when he doesn't reciprocate. A person with humility would've said "oh well, I thought there was a connection, this sucks. On to the next one". To her, humility means she's very important, but since she doesn't brag about it 100% of the time, then she's practicing humility. True humility is a state of mind where one is reserved and deliberate in their actions.
Anyway, she's basically an amalgamation of every woman I've ever been set up with. Dumpy, self-important, arrogant. I've also been attacked with "oh because she's not a supermodel you're not interested?!?", because of course, I only date supermodels. It's the false dichotomy that we are all familiar with.
Like many men, I tend to date fit, attractive, feminine women. They certainly don't have to be a "10", just cute and not bitchy. I also understand that I have to hold up my end of the bargain (be in shape, have my finances in order, etc) and be the type of guy the women that I like are looking for. As I've mentioned, I'm naturally introverted. But since that will lead to a lot of quiet nights full of masturbation, I have to consciously turn the switch that makes myself be more assertive.
She wants a certain type of guy, but won't look in the mirror and like all feminist thinking women, expects the world to adapt to her. She doesn't realize the hypocrisy of wanting a "tall, built, accomplished" guy (fine of course, people are entitled to like what they like) but throws a fit when he doesn't reciprocate.
In my experience, these women always end up with the same type of guy, the chubby, bearded hipster. That is if they end up with anyone at all. Most just keep the attitude of "why can't I meet a 6'4 rich guy with a 12 inch penis? It's because men are so shallow!!!". That other women (and society to an extent) keep enabling them certainly doesn't help.

You know her friends are secretly laughing at her. She is probably the DUFF in her group of friends.

You nailed it CRR, on everything you wrote.
I didn't even notice she said the guy was "built" until you just pointed it out, but that makes her even more ludicrous and immature (if that's possible). I mean fuck, I stay in excellent shape just to give myself a chance at girls who are moderately thin and fit; I don't even expect to land a girl who works out nearly as much as I do; and many people would call me shallow and unreasonable just for having that requirement. Meanwhile, this aging fatty fishes for pity because a younger "built" guy doesn't find her attractive enough. No chance of me feeling even a tiny bit sorry for her.
Women in this age are told since birth they are much farther up the chain than they really are. To hear the truth is a terrible shock.
This article about the hideous chick was voluntary right?
It wasn't like the LA Times forced her.
She thought her story was interesting enough to share, to get pity.
That makes it MORE MORE MORE fucked up because she actually thought this story was worth telling.
Hope this dumb cunt enjoys her final exit interview with unrealistic expectations when she is forever released into the land of the forgotten.
She got 300 bucks to right that shit.
At the bottom of the article it mentions it.

Yep. This is a guest column she submitted to the newspaper. So it's not like she's a staff member who was told to come up with some bullshit puff piece on dating; she actually went out of her way to write this drivel.

Why is a 32 year old woman surprised that a 30 year old man doesn't want to date her?
Since when do guys date older women? As a guy, why would you?
CRR · 2016-05-02 09:27:00 · #3014
It's also interesting that the two photos here from her Instagram are from some sort of movie event. Again, she's trying to show how important she is, not exactly exhibiting that humility she thinks she has.
Also, I don't think she's the DUFF of her friends. Women start to think that way especially as they get older. "OMG, you're totes cute. Even if you're not a supermodel, you're such an accomplished badass who is totes adorable!!!"
So long as they are not Trigglypuff, they probably get at least some attention from men. And as much as some men are always thinking the waitress is hitting on them (everyone knows a douche like that), these women interpret basic male interaction as flirting (see her story).
So sure, the chubby neckbeard is creepy, but the fit coworker is flirting with her when he asks for the TPS reports. Or he's just a shallow jerk looking for a skinny bitch supermodel.
If an overweight guy wrote an article like this, bragging about his life than threw a fit when a younger, slim and pretty girl rejected him, he'd be mocked by both men and women. The men would tell him to lose weight and stop being such a wuss, women would be ruthless in their criticism.
Yet according to society, the author of this article is sane and we are the crazy ones. Makes absolutely no sense.
Crazy to think that men have to hit the gym 3-5 days a week and eat a disciplined diet to have a good looking body, and all women have to do is not be fat. We don't need/want chicks to be built and muscular, we just want them to be thin.
Seriously, an average girl can likely get an amateur modeling modeling contract as long as she isn't ugly or overweight. A man can not get a modeling contract unless he trains like a body builder and has 10% body fat.

Your general point is spot on. As Bill Maher said, "for a man to walk into a bar and have every woman want him, he'd have to be famous, a movie star or something. For a woman to walk into a bar and have every man want her, all she has to do is her hair."
But the average woman isn't getting a modelling contract. And to be fair, men can be models into our 30s 40s and even 50s (look at a JCrew catalogue). Women, not so much.

Sums it up.
The benefit of a man is, when we turn 30 we are mostly made men and just get better. The time before is sometimes hard where a women in her 20 to her late 20 get all the attention. But after, if she did not find a decent guy, nature will show no mercy on her when she don't pay attention. Just own a pussy don't make you so special.

If she moved to Boston and hit up OKCupid there would be at least a hundred tall, built guys making over 100k willing to drop thousands and their ballsacks on that girl just for a shot at sex with her.
Location works both ways.
Also judging by the way she writes, I guarantee this chick is in reality dreadfully unfunny (snarky and sarcastic!) and has the humility of a 60 kiloton nuclear warhead. These are what we call in online-dating land "aspirational descriptive characteristics."
She's plenty girl-next-door attractive enough to get someone with at least many of the characteristics she desires on lock. It's probably just that she's an enormous chore and pain to deal with, but nobody wants to give her the real scoop so she assumes it's everyone else.
Why isn't she here already? She'd fit right in.

Law of the universe: Wherever you see fat chicks, you hear other women telling them how cute they look.
"Oh my god those glasses look so CUTE on you!"
"Oh my god your hair looks so CUTE like that!"
"Oh my god you look so CUTE in that outfit!"
"Oh my god your nails are so CUTE!"
To us men, it sounds like such an obviously empty compliment that it barely registers. We know that a thin girl wearing a $5 tank top and gym shorts who spent 30 seconds brushing her hair after she woke up looks
infinitely more attractive than a fatty who spent all day doing up her hair and nails wearing the most stylish outfit money can buy. This fact is so apparent to us that it seems trivial; we can't imagine anyone believing differently.
But I'm starting to see that fat girls actually buy into the hype created by these artificial compliments. It seems like they actually believe that men will give a shit about the color of their nails, or how "cute" and "stylish" their glasses are. And when that doesn't pan out, as we see here, they blame men's "unreasonable standards" rather than seeing that they've been focusing on the wrong things all along.

^^ this is so true.
My favorite dress that my ex-gf owned cost her $5 and she looked great in it. Her fat (although admittedly cool and fun to hang out with) friend on the other hand would have to spend $300 - $500 on top of the range dresses to get one that fitted her well, but she still didn't look as attractive as my ex-gf in her $5 dress.
I say it to my friends all the time, a skinny girl can wear a sack and still look hot.
^^^I think there should be fuck a fatty day, god knows there's every other less fortunates day covered like Veterans Day, International Womans Day.... need I go on
'since I live in Los Angeles and have been dating here for seven years now with no luck at all — is that I wasn't hot enough. I wasn't a 10. I wasn't a model or an actress with perfect hair and size 0 jeans'
Size 0 jeans pretty well says it all, she's transferring her hypergamy and blaming it on men, accusing us as the ones with unrealistic expectations
She prolly hit the wall after losing her virginity...at 25

First, the photo you posted is a SIF photo. Here's a full body shot from her Instagram. Feast your eyes on "above-average decent-looking":
![[Image: CqFl4Ib.png]](http://i.imgur.com/CqFl4Ib.png)
Secondly, she thinks she's in the guy's league because her friends assured her so?! Very credible source of information, as we all know how female friends are brutally honest with one another.
Even if we humor her and assume the guy is comparably (un)attractive, the fact that she sees a single rejection as worthy of a "pity me" article shows just how different of a reality young women live in than the rest of us. Everyone on this forum works out routinely and tries to be the best man he can be, unlike this overweight 4/10. Yet we're all rejected more times than we can count by women who are quite obviously not out of our league. For men, such an event is not an isolated tragedy, but a fact of daily life. I wish deluded women like this could empathize with that a little more.
So she compared the face and body of a 4-5 who is an aging 32yo older looking carousel riding woman to a man who is tall, built, sails and is successful and likely has some Game?
Her instagram:
https://www.instagram.com/tiniv11/
And those were indeed even the better pics - here some less flattering ones closer to reality:
No wonder her flirting went to hell as soon as he saw her pics. First she is utterly deluded - even if the guy was similar in looks, then that does not mean that he would have to settle with her.
With Game, being bult, tall and successful he could easily be in the male 7-8 valuation even with a 5-6 face. In fact he could be banging girls younger and much hotter than her right now and he likely does.
Him not responding strongly is a sign of his higher market value. The truth is that the height of her market value is not now as she meets celebs, but it was some 10 or 12 years ago if she was slim back then. Because less attractive girls should rather settle down earlier using the gift of their youth to nab down a good-hearted more intelligent Beta who might become more masculine and stronger in the future. Instead she rode the carousel, gained some weight and lived a hard lifestyle aging fast. Now she dreams of the Prince Charming while never having been the princess in the first place.
But of course women are deluded and so is her article.
(05-02-2016 01:05 PM)Delta Wrote: "Oh my god your hair looks so CUTE like that!"
This one is definitely making the rounds- and causing the epidemic of short hair. It doesn't hurt women to lie, because it just raises their own value and eliminates competition.

You know, I can get a good laugh out of the
Trigglypuff thread, but the latest example in this thread actually makes me feel concerned and a bit hopeless.
Trigglypuff is an outlier. She's like a circus freak. You go in, enjoy the show, and laugh about it later, because you hardly ever see people like that.
The "above average" 32 year old from this thread, on the other hand, is not remotely unique, other than in being articulate enough to get published in a major newspaper. Her piece is a look inside the head of an extremely common American woman archetype; fat-but-not-morbidly-obese, average face, nearing the wall, but believes she's attractive because she's not completely grotesque. Instead of honestly assessing her own value and accordingly seeking out a realistic man (which at this point would be a mid-30's average Joe with a beer gut), she gets her girlfriends to confirm that she's totally cute and should never settle!!!!11 The natural result of which is spending 7 years chasing "tall, built, accomplished" guys with "no luck at all."
And again, the sad part is that it doesn't feel like I'm describing an individual. That description could apply to at least half of the girls I see around OKCupid, with most of the other half falling into the "completely grotesque" category.
Generation Y is the first generation where the women completely and willingly let the clock run out - the first generation. Think about that.
This is actually unprecedented. Millennial Women, these 20-somethings to 30-somethings, are the first generation of women to experience trying to find a mate past the prime of their youth en masse. It's likely they are not biologically prepared for that on an instinctual and evolutionary level.
Think about it - for all of recorded human history, women have been having babies and settling down with their mate/husband from mid-teens to early-20's. This is the first time in all of history where women are forgoing that, and on an instinctual level are still trying to hunt for that ideal mate - yet they do not recognize they have little to nothing to offer such a specimen.
A girl gets into her 30's alone and childless. She is looking for "Mr. Right" to settle down with. Problem is, Mr. Right's biological imperative is to get with youthful women who show signs of good child baring. Not out-of-shape, high-risk-pregnancy, and menopause-approaching women of age-worn appearance.
Men of options take advantage of it.
Women of options take advantage of it.
Men of little options settle for whatever they can get.
Women of little options still try to live like they have options.
See the discrepancy?
