As an additional note, I predict she will continue to see the guy. I hope she at least starts to ask for her share of the money. It is especially telling how she describes it all as 'a great experience'. I dread whoever wifes her up in about 11 years as she gets to be about 30 years old.

From a letter from a young woman to an advice columnist at the Washington Post:

Quote:I am working with a therapist who thinks that I am sleeping with too many people. I am in my mid-20s and dating and, yes, occasionally have one-night stands and do not have guilt about it. I believe she thinks I should. Do you think she is being too judgmental? Is this a good reason to switch therapists? She has helped me in other ways, for what it’s worth.

To her credit, the adviser responds by basically saying, "This is between you and your therapist, go work it out." I think a better response would have been:

Quote:You know, your therapist probably hears a lot sexual history from her many clients, and if she thinks you're slutting it up, then it sounds like you're setting a new record for number of dicks rode. I suggest that you need more help than just your therapist. As in, a physical trainer who can help teach you how to keep your legs together better.

From a POF profile.

The girl is almost 35 years old (her words), is approaching slowly to the wall, she is sapiosexual (what the hell is that) Laugh, and she receives a lot of messages (probably from thirsty simps).

Sapiosexual: A word used by people of average and below average intelligence. The intention is to give the impression that the person is of above average intelligence because they use a neologism or portmanteau that describes their sexual preference towards intelligent people.

tl;dr: it means attracted to intelligence. I've never seen an intelligent person use it seriously, ever.

Was the post followed up by 35 comments from male Reddit white knights saying "Aww sweetie! What a horrible, horrible man! It will be OK. We will work through this together, you and I. I am here to be your friend and help you get over this. We can be friends for however long you want! I'll be there for you. <slowly slides hand onto thigh> And soon you will learn to love me for all the things I've done for you and the nice guy that I am..."

It means attracted to intelligence, so long as you're not so intelligent that you're like, weird intelligent. Start waxing philosophical on quantum indeterminacy and Wolf-Rayet stars and WOULD YOU SHUT UP YOU NERD

In seriousness though, a weird thing that I've noticed is that you're much more likely to bond with the ditzy blonde you scooped off Tinder by rambling about such things than some careerist chick from the city who works in biotech. I've tried it and it totally goes over like a lead balloon. The reason is likely that they based their identity around beating men at their own game, and at the end of the day that type doesn't really want to fuck a guy they feel challenged by. A 27 year old engineering grad student is far more likely to be pining over the owner of the hipster butcher shop, or an emo band singer, than another engineer. The attractive ones, at least.

The ditz is more likely to see that as being part of something "mysterious", and she doesn't feel threatened by it because it's not part of her world.

Yeah, I'm sure they're lining up around the block to debate this mentally unstable socialist twat.

Seriously, who puts all that in a DATING PROFILE.

Women really have sank so fucking low. It's a race to the bottom for them. Who can be the most unattractive, unappealing, and unpleasant? They can't stop destroying themselves.

Sometimes LSMV girls just explicitly let all this shit out and still expect us to love them for the special snowflakes they are. Completely lack a sense of decorum.

I'm sure it's the narcissism and solipsism combined with an increasing lack of empathy in modern women. These social autists literally cannot see how what they are writing might put men off because nothing exists outside of their world. We are all actors in their bizarre play and we should just read our lines, damnit!

Saw this one IRL, laughed at it and moved on before thinking that I should have capped it to post here. Glad it made it here anyway, pretty epic.

If I recall you left out what I thought was the funniest part, a rant about how guys would "like" her and then view her profile and wouldn't respond to her messages. Bitch had some desperately thirsty guys click the star on quickmatch when all they could see was her picture, and even they ran away when they saw that much crazy. Still would give strong odds she'll be knocked up within the year.

Came across this gem of a comment on the Jessica Valenti's op-ed on the Guardian about the "Teen Labia-Crisis of 2016." Perfect example of an online hamster meeting the wall.

"I'm a 31 year old women; a professional and confident person yet I've noticed over the years (more so since I became single at 28) that my lack of confidence has increased. Confidence in respect of the subject matter of the article has plummeted and confidence in general about my appearance whether clothed or not. You wouldn't think it to look at me though - I'm healthy, physically i'm reasonably fit and i'm am quite happy with my face. I genuinely blame the media/social media. I rarely bothered with it all when I was younger and never had one ounce of a problem with myself but it's everywhere now. Maybe I should take a break from it all."

Came across this gem:

http://www.latimes.com/style/laaffairs/l...story.html

Some of this story doesn't quite add up, but so far as I can tell, a coworker gave this "accomplished" woman a fake number (possibly a friend), and she exchanges texts with the guy:

Excerpts:

Quote:Me: "32. Single. White. Female. Accomplished."

Him: "30. Single. White. Male. I'd like to think I'm accomplished. And I can cook."

I was mentally picking out my wedding dress. Maybe a barn wedding with Mason jars instead of wine glasses. And tea lights strung up in the beams.

And then it happens. He asks for my Instagram name. I barely hesitate, because at this point all demographics match up, we obviously share a sense of humor and a sense of humility, so even if he doesn't look like Ryan Gosling I'm fairly certain I'm at least getting a date out of this.

We exchange Instagram info and promptly stalk each other. He's cute, built, on the tall side, sails, has fun-looking friends. I'm beside myself.

"You're cute!!!" I text.

Nothing.

Ten minutes later. Nothing.

I'm beside myself. But the other side this time.

"Omigod," I text, "you don't think I'm cute."

"That's quite an assumption," he says a few minutes later.

"You didn't text anything back. What else am I to assume?"

"Don't be such a diva."

Then he tells me he's heading to bed.

There goes my elopement to Thailand.

I made an attempt to reach out to him the next day. Nothing.

I feel it's important to note at this point that I'm attractive. I'm no Eva Mendes, but I'm above-average decent-looking, if that's OK to say about oneself. I showed his picture to a few friends to make sure I was in his league and he was in mine — we were, they assured me.

So I couldn't understand why he'd stop our banter, why he didn't want to meet.

Maybe he died. This is generally what I think happens to guys that stop talking to me.

But my best theory — since I live in Los Angeles and have been dating here for seven years now with no luck at all — is that I wasn't hot enough. I wasn't a 10. I wasn't a model or an actress with perfect hair and size 0 jeans; that a common sense of humor and humility and matching demographics just weren't enough and he figured his model would be waiting for him at his next Tinder swipe.

This article has a lot going on. Women reassuring other women about their true desirable traits without any real objectivity, group hamstering. Self-important woman who likes a "tall, built" guy who is younger than her, can't deal with rejection, then descends into extreme bitterness about how a woman is expected to be a model/10, even though it's obvious that she liked him for superficial reasons as well.

And here's the pic for miss "above average":

A quick google search found this headshot, so one of her best pictures.

So to reiterate, we have a 32 year old woman (who in my opinion looks older) bitter that a younger, fit, male isn't attracted to her. And this story is printed, not as parody, in what is considered a major publication.

^^Oh my god that was gold. I don't even know where to begin with that.

First, the photo you posted is a SIF photo. Here's a full body shot from her Instagram. Feast your eyes on "above-average decent-looking":

Secondly, she thinks she's in the guy's league because her friends assured her so?! Very credible source of information, as we all know how female friends are brutally honest with one another. Laugh

Even if we humor her and assume the guy is comparably (un)attractive, the fact that she sees a single rejection as worthy of a "pity me" article shows just how different of a reality young women live in than the rest of us. Everyone on this forum works out routinely and tries to be the best man he can be, unlike this overweight 4/10. Yet we're all rejected more times than we can count by women who are quite obviously not out of our league. For men, such an event is not an isolated tragedy, but a fact of daily life. I wish deluded women like this could empathize with that a little more.

I love broads' idea of hot. At least they have finally moved on from Jennifer Anniston. And while Eva Mendes was once outstanding - she isn't cream of the crop anymore at 42!!

If they threw some names like Zoey Deutch or Maia Mitchell or Seychelle Gabriel (to use actress examples) then I would take them more serious.
