I mean it really isn't rocket science, NK has a history of aggression toward the US and its allies. They now have The Bomb and are working on a delivery vehicle. Sooner or latter they will have to be culled. Would you do it while their missile program is in its infancy or strike before they have true capability to make use of nukes?

Yesterday I saw this thing at a spot I know is for fueling inside pearl harbor when I was in traffic:

Today it is gone. That's the sea based x band radar. Apparently it is obsolete against newer missiles, but it would be all over whatever Kim jong in has.

I know the pacom admiral was on TV talking about increasing Hawaii's missile defense, but our senators were also on just bitching about travel bans and 100 days bullshit. Even though our representatives pick fights, I doubt the military would just let us get attacked out of spite.

Keep in mind that when the nuclear bomb drops, the North Koreans can still play their accordions in their bomb shelters, but your electric guitars won't work.

It's too bad about the last missile launch. I heard it veered severely off course and crashed shortly after take off.

The issue with the x-band radar seems to be a very narrow field of view, so that streams of decoys and real warheads could not all be imaged together. This is something only advanced ICBMs would do, the norks are only launching one thing on one rocket.

This radar will be able to image the trajectory and any topspin on the serves in the nork volleyball courts.
