Johny Depp: When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?"
He needs to be detained and questioned at a minimum. No exceptions. Not going after actors is what created this mess we have now with escalated violence.
I would hold him for the maximum length of time just to annoy him.

Regarding solar panels on the wall:
I thought this was a dumb idea at first, because most folks don't consider the finances of initial cost of the solar installation, the payback is 5 or 10 or 15 years depending on the deal you get, and most of us don't consider the opportunity cost of not doing something else with that money. Then I realized - The God Emperor is likely to get a great deal on installation, will tweet the shit out of the contractor if they overrun cost or schedule on this high profile project, opportunity cost is in the noise for our budget, and the wall will stand for 100+ years so payback period is not really an issue!
Build that solar wall!!!

You openly look down on people, disparaging them and their culture while advocating for ideology and policy explicitly intended to harm them.
And then, when they look at you sideways, you wonder why.
I don't look down on people. I look down on certain cultures.
You puff yourself up based on your Jamaican heritage, but I don't think you can answer this simple challenge.
Name five things that Jamaican culture does better than American culture. Just five. That's it.
If you can't name five things, then you've no right to be offended by the fact that I look down on Jamaican culture. In fact, rather than being offended, you should apply RVF's spirit of self improvement to Jamaican culture. Devote yourself hard enough to that task, and you'll find American opinion of Jamaica will dramatically increase.

Disingenuous tripe. You have blatantly stated that opposition to islamic immigration is nothing but thinly veiled racism. Your very call to action against me in particular was that my opposition to muslim immigration was simply dog-whistle racism in sheer defiance of my inter-racial family and defence of all people as and where they did not adhere to the koran.
Trump was elected on many platforms, including his promise to stop islamic immigration. Ergo by your standards all Trump supporters are racist, up to and including the many blacks, latinos, asians and arabs who voted quite specifically to end the invasion of islamists.
I'm not going to call you mentally ill any more. It's a form of disenfranchisement and a low blow which I should never have resorted to. But you should at least take ownership of your principles rather than trying to snipe certain members while currying the favour of the rest more broadly.
Simply put, are you willing to level the same accusations at everyone else that you labelled at me?
That everyone who opposes islamic immigration is in fact a closet racist?scotian 路 2017-06-23 09:03:00 路 #66160
Comparing a small impoverished island of 2.7 million people in the Caribbean to the US isn't a really fair comparison but Jamaica does pretty well in arts and culture (music: reggae, dance hall, etc), sports (track athletes), tourism (huge beach destination), food (jerk chicken, curry goat, etc) and they produce some of the best, most expensive coffee in the world (Blue Mountain). Oh and they don't promote degenerate homosexual culture in Jamaica, you won't see a pride parade in Kingston, they also have well defined gender roles where men are men and women are women, surely you guys on here could appreciate that!

Haha that was easy.
They produce better rum too.

I'll accept two of those: the refusal to promote homosexuality and the production of Blue Mountain Coffee. Based on the second, I'll respect any Jamaican who grows or helps promote that product, while disrespecting any prideful Jamaican who doesn't.

Build that solar wall!!!
A quote from a few posts earlier had someone counting the value of government tax credits in making solar power break even. As if that matters when it's the government providing the tax credits, and then the government paying for the wall!!
Obviously, without tax credits, solar power is a money losing proposition, even in the long term. Furthermore, the cost of the panels is a good proxy for the amount of energy it takes to make them. The reality is that solar panels take more energy to make than they can produce in their useful life time, and the same is true of wind generated energy as well.
In fact, if you do the research, you'll find it's true, that manufacturing the solar cells or wind generators uses more energy than they produce in an average lifetime of operation, but they swear that the technology will reach the break even point Real Soon Now. Even if they reach the point of breaking even over the course of 30 years with no tax credits, who would invest in a money making enterprise that takes 30 years to break even? I think that doesn't even take the cost of business overhead, staffing, and cost of capital into account. The whole alternative energy industry is a fraud.
I still say build the wall and put panels on it, but purely as a troll for the eco-socialists. Solar panels can never make a dime using current technology. It's all a huge leftist fraud.

I agree, but you're missing a critical point here.
The problem with solar panels is that they don't make enough money to recoup their initial investment cost. If however, someone else was paying for the solar panels, I.E. the initial investment cost to America is zero, they suddenly become an extraordinarily good bargain because the maintenance costs compared to the output energy are so low.
Now, who's going to pay for the wall again?

That's damn right Scotian!
A report came out about this last year and reading about it made me declare my LOVE for Jamaica on a Canadian street corner. The irony was palpable as I was immediately accosted by an obese lesbian SJW sitting within earshot who proceeded tp loudly accuse me (and the entire nation of Jamaica) of being a bigot. I turned on her (with all of God's wrath) and vigorously described my first-hand experiences witnessing the disgusting displays of public indecency that take place annually at the Toronto "pride" shenanigans in full view of innocent local area children. The repulsive agent of Satan proceeded to weakly argue that none of the events I described had ever really happened and then shut up. Because denial ain't just a river in Egypt.

If I had a choice (and this is based on experience) of dating a Jamaican or an African-American woman who are the same HB level, I would choose the Jamaican. But, this discussion probably belongs in another thread.
A professional confrontation or two, never hurt anybody. That said, you guys are pushing the boundaries of that. Let's keep the Trump thread clean, continue your disagreements in the other thread it started on, MMX2010 you had no business taking swipes at others off topic in here.

Jamaica makes the 2nd or 3rd best rum in the world behind Barbados and maybe Haiti.
Trinidad was better too but they closed their only good distillery.

If anything Jamaica pinches above its weight. A tiny nation that heavily corrupt is still able to pump our latest contributions globally in various areas.
The dispora has done great things also. One of Canada's richest is a Jamaican immigrant who made his fortune in the insurance and mutual funds trade.
There was a time when Jamacian-Canadians had the largest share of doctors within their demographic in proportion to other demographics.

Judging an entire culture by the exceptional individuals who've
fled that culture is fundamentally wrong.
Also, wrong, is to change my question from "What does Jamaican culture do better than American culture?" to "How well does Jamaican culture function relative to its natural resources?"

I can think of several responses to that, in the spirit of good debate, but I think it's off-topic for this thread.
Solar panels will make it harder to justify a new government tearing down the wall.

Bill Whittle put out a video years ago quantifying the US's various achievement and explained why the phrase "American Exceptionalism" was started.
It's eye opening in a way that would settle this little debate in no uncertain terms.
It's also something that is fascinating to actually know about the US.
I'm on my phone but it should be easy to find.
