New polls are out, Ben Carson at 29%, Trump down to 21%, Rubio at 11% and the rest in single digits. I guess if this continues long term, I'd be concerned. It's good to see the establishment republicans at the bottom though.

Not surprising that Trump is losing in a NBC poll. They have to hate him since he's been butt fucking them and the rest of the media the past few months.

If it weren't for Trump sticking it to them and calling them out on their bullshit they would have had nearly double the ad revenue from a 3.5 hour debate, and they wouldn't have lost their future debates. He has probably cost them 10's of millions of dollars.

Trump owned the media and now they are trying to stick it to him. The only thing is I don't think anyone actually believes Carson is leading Trump.

Jesse Ventura effect. When Ventura one governor, exit polls showed that 12% of the entire voter population would not have even come out to cast a ballot if Ventura was not running.

Huge factor nobody is talking about in the mainstream. Dr. Howard makes a good point with Ventura too. Same goes for Arnold in California.

Without a doubt this will be big in the general elections.

I went to Trump Tower for the book signing today. Signed copy is on my desk.

YUGE crowd. My friend and I got there a little bit late so we had to stand at the back of the line that went around the damn block. People were so energized and fired up, and there were no freaks to be found, which surprised me a bit but it wasn't too surprising considering it's midtown Manhattan and protesters don't show up there that much.

People were screaming and cheering as soon as they saw that unmistakable hair. The demographics were pretty favorable - mostly young to middle age. A few very old people were there, and it was largely white but not overwhelmingly so. I was very pleasantly surprised at the huge turnout in the heart of liberal media country. Trump's support is definitely being understated.

And as for meeting the man himself, it was great. My friend said that he should call his opponents cuckservatives, to which Trump replied with a masculine grin that that was "very cute." Amazing energy and enthusiasm from him. At 70 you'd think he was in our group.

I was a bit hesitant to share this, and I'll probably take it down in a bit, but many of you have already met me so it's not too big of a deal, and the picture is pretty grainy unfortunately because my phone is pretty old.



I was honored to meet the man and honored to be part of it. He's said that it's a movement but now I have first hand experience that it is. It's a movement to make our country great again. I don't know what the outcome will be, but it's shifting the Overton window massively in the right direction. The narrative is crumbling and we're going to be filling in the cracks in the future. The future is entirely ours.

Also those national polls don't mean a thing except maybe in swaying perceptions (which should not be underestimated), nevertheless presidential elections are decided at the state level. Trump is still leading by a lot in New Hampshire and South Carolina (the strongest predictor of the GOP nominee since the 60's).

Keep in mind last time around one exact year before the election Giuliani was at 33% and McCain only 13%.

So not a bad thing this early if Carson steps up to take the naturally hostile liberal MSM slings and arrows and if they go too far off the rails it is racism. So gives Mr. Trump some breathing space to build his ground game and team.

People do not realize how many veterans and active duty military have a deep desire to have a Commander in Chief we can not only be proud of but willing to march right through the gates of hell to support him and his simply magnificent goal to Make America Great Again.

A problem for Trump or just in general?

As for Trump I bet many of them support him if he gets the nomination. This is only anecdotal but I met a lady last week who is in her early 60's, president of the local republicans chapter, teaches at her first Baptist Church, and kept trying to get me to watch Kirk Cameron's latest movie. Her and her husband both are big Cruz supporters. I asked her what they would do if Trump is the Republican nominee. She said they would vote for him because he is better than Hillary, even if they don't agree with Trump's total package.

I realize that is only one person's opinion, but with the direction this country is going (real or imagined) there are a lot of pissed off people who just might be willing to let some religious stuff slide for the greater good of the country.

This couple is also self employed and have been fucked by the effects of Obamacare. If the old adage people vote with their pocketbook is true the Democrats are in for a world of pain 12 months from now. Last year self employed people and the individual market were the ones who felt the financial effects, this year (2016) many small to mid size employers are seeing health costs skyrocket. Fortunately most open enrollments occur before election day so there will be millions of people next fall who will be just getting the bad news about their 2017 plans and ready to take their anger to the polls.

What changed?

• Hillary Clinton: her chances increased from 41% to 52%. Most of this is increase came when Joe Biden dropped out on October 21st
• Jeb Bush: his chances consistently dropped. Not because of Donald Trump though, but because of Adelson's switch from Bush to Rubio.
• Donald Trump: no significant changes at all, still an outsider
• Bernie Sanders: still an outsider - slight increases likely coming from Biden quitting, thus theoretically also increasing Sanders' chances
• Marco Rubio: his chances doubled, from 8% to 15%
  

Maybe you wonder about Ben Carson or Carly Fiorina, but they really are not seen as important on the markets:



I have to say, I didn't see the rise of Rubio coming. But my betting strategy is still the same: bet heavily on Trump until January, and then when candidates start dropping out and his chances increase, bet against him at much better rates than what he is currently getting.

For example, Trump's is at 13.5.

1/13.5=.074

So they have him at a 7.4% chance of winning.
