Valuing honest advice is fucking stupid. "Honest" is determined by the advice-giver, not the advice-recipient, and the death cry of every vanquished, traitorous, Gamma loser is always, "But I'm just trying to be honest!"

It's one thing to be cynical, but your outright hostility to the concept of honesty is not going to appeal to any even vaguely decent person.

I don't jump on people about honesty around here. I understand the nature of the forum, and the attitudes of a large percentage of the people here, and I'm not here to be a troll. I also can't argue that strict adherence to honesty isn't a disadvantage in most situations, to an individual. That said, I don't think that nationalists or Trump supporters are served by having an open hostility to honesty be seen as a primary tenet of the movement.

Edit, also, I think I can definitively say not valuing honest advice is fucking stupid. You can make a good argument that you benefit from having people around you who can manipulate enemies, voters, customers, whomever, but when it comes to the people close to you and how they talk directly to you when the rest of the world isn't listening in ... someone who will be honest with you instead of just trying to game you is worth their weight in gold.

So far it is the cheapest most effective anti-immigration policy by a US administration since decades:

Words matter - it is mostly that, but I may remind folk that Merkel and her minions made millions of Middle Easterners and Africans move to Germany just based on a few words uttered by her foul mouth.

Words uttered by a politician matter and that is why Obama was so terrible by inciting even greater racial divisions.

Immigrants and foreigners do not have this protection though - we should not expect unity from them.

The US was built and created by founders and pioneers, not immigrants.

When you're experiencing a medical crisis, do you listen to the honest advice of an eight year old without a medical degree, or the competent advice of a doctor?

When you're looking for the definitive answer to a scientific question, do you accept the honest input of a twenty-seven year old woman with no science degrees, and zero interest in science?

When John McCain gives military advice to Trump, does John McCain think he's being honest? What if he's truly being honest, but his advice is incompetent? Were we "enriched" by the honest but incompetent advice given by that disgusting cuck?

Fuck honesty. Give me competence and loyalty instead.

Russian reports that only 23 of the Tomahawks hit their targets in Syria are untrue. Commercial satellite imagery taken 10 hours after the attack shows that most of the missiles hit high value targets. While it remains to be seen if this attack was 4D chess or not, this shows that you have to take Russian damage assessment claims with a grain of salt.

Quote:ISI very high resolution satellite imagery was able to reveal the results of the Tomahawk cruise missiles attack on the Al-Shayrat Air Base. According to ISI experts, the total of 44 targets hit. Several targets may have hit twice. Photo and analysis of the attack were carried out within 10 hours of the attack.

An in-depth examination of the damage to the objectives shows that 13 double hardened aircraft shelters (HAS) got 23 hits. 5 workshops got hit. The workshops are not necessarily related to WMD, but to aircraft and their ability to do maintenance and fly.

Ten ammunition storages got hit. Seven fuel reservoirs of the AFB got hit at two sites with eight hits total. Two locations remain untouched. One SA6 Battery utterly destroyed along with its radars and control systems. In total, five SA6 Battery elements hit.

MMX, Gamma males by definition are dishonest due to not acknowledging their place on the sociosexual hierarchy. They make up for it by lying and weaseling their way to the top ,especially in desperate situations where they have an open court to do so. Political arson and trophy hunting with North Korea and the wall is very gamma behavior. America's foreign policy is like the guy who buys a overpriced sports car to compensate for his small penis.

If you can't be a natural competitor ,why not Brand and astroturf your way to the top via rentier capitalism ,make money by doing anything that doesn't deliver value.

There needs to be a forum rule to ban dudebrah crypto gammas like you.

A weak dollar and predatory lending has always been a wind fall for Trump. If Trump is a slightly better GOP prez thats great, why does he need to be "our guy"?

China stopped manipulating their currency? I checked the currency markets just yesterday and the yuan was weaker against the dollar than it was when Trump promised to label China a currency manipulator during the elections. Furthermore, the last time the yuan was as weak against the dollar as it is today was way back in 2008, and you'd think that during a decade of significantly faster Chinese vs US economic growth you'd have seen some appreciation.

I hope the evidence Trump used to decide China was no longer manipulating its currency was stronger than the one that proved Assad used poison gas. Dodgy

Of course Trump was right. China is a currency manipulator. All countries are currency manipulators. It's what their central banks are for. China's currency is tied in a narrow band to the USD. If China were to let it float it would very probably fall 10% or so. How do we know this? We know it because for the past 18 months China has been trying to stem capital outflows by various restrictions and also by selling dollars. The market wants to take the RMB lower.

The most sensible guess is that Trump's economic advisors impressed upon him that he would upset the economic apple-cart by declaring China a currency manipulator. So he has held off.

On it's own, China's huge trade surplus with the US would pressure the dollar lower against the RMB. The only reason this doesn't happen is because of capital exports from China - buying property, companies and bonds in the US.

The irony in this is that because the US runs a chronic budget deficit it needs to sell bonds to finance this ( go into debt). From about 2000 until a couple of years ago China was by far the largest net purchaser of US bonds. This buying of bonds obviously tends to boost the USD and push the RMB down, which is what Trump is against. On the other hand the US needs foreigners to buy it's bonds (domestic savings being inadequate for that task). In the last couple of years the Chinese have been getting rid of US bonds to stop the RMB depreciating, meaning that the US has had to find other bond buyers (very possibly the Fed through hidden accounts in Ireland and Belgium).

Now that China has basically stepped back from fresh purchases of bonds, the only long term solution to this will be for the US to live within it's means and to balance - eventually - both budget and trade deficits. However, that will mean pain, and people do not usually voluntarily submit to pain. This means that a crisis will be necessary to catalyze that.

As someone said - lets's wait and see.

Street Artist Mocks Kim Jong-Un with ‘Trump North Korean BBQ’ Posters (Photos)

Quote:Los Angeles-based street artist provocateur Sabo is back again, this time to skewer North Korean leader Kim Jong-un with a series of mock posters promoting a fictional line of “Trump’s North Korean BBQ.”

The mock posters — which have popped up around the Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles — feature the North Korean dictator’s head superimposed onto a roasted pig’s body, and with an apple placed in his mouth. Alongside the image is an insert of a smiling Trump.

The taglines for the mock advertisements include “The finest in K-town,” “The world’s greatest really,” and “Cooked up by five star chef James Mattis.”

Heh.

The US dollar is currently very strong against the RMB and all of the world's currencies, because of some fancy manipulations, but also because D. Trump is an Alpha-male leader projecting strength and confidence (which favorably impacts his country's currency in the eyes of all investors, worldwide). His mere election as 45th president of the USA, boosted the USD, and US stocks.

Now, if D. Trump had labelled China a currency manipulator, what would he have said about the European Union, which inflicts quantitative easing upon quantitative easing upon quantitative easing upon quantitative easing, etc, unto the Euro, thus artificially lowering the Euro, and fucking right in the pussy all of the European middle-class...

The world has one mean and dictatorial currency manipulator, it's the European Central Bank and its over-heating printers of useless euros. Each time one million illegal migrants enter the EU, how do you think the Europeans pay for the gigantic cost of these useless male parasites? By printing ten tons of monopoly euros. Thank you very much, we European taxpayers are stuck with a useless currency worth close to nothing when we travel abroad...

What? You're such a cheerleader for Trump that you aren't even making sense anymore. Trump is not all knowing, all mighty and infallible, he has screwed up before and will again in the future. The Syria thing was an absolute stupidity and calling him out and disagreeing with some of his actions is normal and healthy, I don't get why you and a few others feel the need to justify and excuse his screw ups. It's fine to acknowledge he did and will do some bad or stupid things, no one is going to expel you from the club.

I'll say it again: the last cry of a defeated, hysterical critic is that no one appreciates his honest criticism, and that he was only trying to be honest.

The ultimate impact of the Syrian Missile strike requires at least three months to evaluate. Please tell us why you're using absolutist extreme language after only three fucking days!

And the second-to-last cry of the hysterical critic is to insist that his hysterical criticisms be placed in the same category as everyone else's measured, rational criticisms.

Mmx not sure what yourbpoint is.

John maccains advice is to be disregarded because precisely hes not honest about it. He lied about his past and he has interests with the people who are behind the push for syrian intervention.

People like Mike cernovich and ann coulter and pjw have 0 to gain from opposing trump. Many in the forum are intellugent and critical thinkers but in the real world most trump supporters are emotionally driven just like Bush era supporters were and would be much easier to pander to with "fuck yeah murica" slogans.

I would much rather have a friend be honest with me than one who cheers for everything i do. Theres absolutely no reason for trump to be upset at them if hes a reasonable individual.

If hes a narcissist that cant handle a word of criticism lile the libreal media portrayed him, then yes he will be upset.

If hes smart he will listen to everyone, especilaly people who have nothing to gain from opposing him and everything to lose.

It seems this last week has triggered some sort of severe immune-over-reaction from MMX.

The reason is most likely linked to the fact that if you didn't have your member name in this thread prior to November '16 then there's going to be extreme limitations to how seriously people take your opinion. It doesn't matter if you're "right" or not.

If you weren't on the forum stumping for Trump when the polls ruled him "down and out" then you're never going to have the benefit of the doubt here, and demands of "convince me" are going to be met with hostility or a simple "can't be bothered", often in the form of the "block user" button.

While in all matters political I lean on the side of scepticism I can skate that line because people here know that I stumped for Trump as loudly as anyone, and if I were just a demoralisation-troll then I would have to be playing one hell of a long game.

But if Johnny-come-latelys aren't sold on Trump's policies then they would do well to walk on egg shells here and play nice, because nobody is owed any more respect on this forum than they've earned. The rep system exists for a reason. If we had to engage every newcomer as an intellectual equal then we'd spend our entire lives arguing with autists.

(04-14-2017 08:52 PM)Beirut Wrote:  Mmx not sure what your point is.

Then I'll repeat it for you.

Constructive, rational criticism is helpful. Hysterical criticism is not.

The last cry of a hysterical critic, when his hysterical criticism is being exposed and rejected, is to claim that no one appreciates his honesty.

The second-to-last cry of a hysterical critic is to insist that his hysterical criticism should be viewed as measured and rational, because it's honest.

-----

I'll add a subtle point that I haven't said before.

Politics, by definition, is the attempt to find solutions so that millions of people an collaborate. Therefore, politics is fundamentally much more about other people, than about you.

Since politics is fundamentally much more about other people, then political opinions should primarily be evaluated with a metric that is judged by other people.

Honesty, however, is primarily judged by oneself, and cannot be evaluated by others. (This is why we tell dishonest people that they need to look themselves in the mirror.) You can't look into anyone's soul to determine whether they're being "honest", but you can examine someone's political opinions for Competence.

Therefore, don't cry to anyone about your honesty. And don't expect your political viewpoints to be taken seriously, just because they're honest.

It absolutely matters whether you're right. That's why all of my posts point out where people aren't right.

Was Novak right to assert that he doesn't need to call his Senators because they've already said they're against the repeal of Dodd-Frank? Or is he better off calling them repeatedly so they don't change their minds?

Was Novak right to imply that Donald Trump is a Gamma Male?

Was Teuatis right to use absolute language to evaluate Trump's missile strike of Syria, or was I right to tell him that military actions involving at least three countries need at least three months to evaluate?
