That's so true. An admission that they have essentially programmed us to think a certain way about their product, when at the end of the day it's just cornflakes.

Quote:Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alexander Marlow encouraged the boycott of Kellogg’s products, describing their war against Breitbart News as bigoted and anti-American: “Breitbart News is the largest platform for pro-family content anywhere on the Internet. We are fearless advocates for traditional American values, perhaps most important among them is freedom of speech, or our motto ‘more voices, not less.’ For Kellogg’s, an American brand, to blacklist Breitbart News in order to placate left-wing totalitarians is a disgraceful act of cowardice. They insult our incredibly diverse staff and spit in the face of our 45,000,000 highly engaged, highly perceptive, highly loyal readers, many of whom are Kellogg’s customers. Boycotting Breitbart News for presenting mainstream American ideas is an act of discrimination and intense prejudice. If you serve Kellogg’s products to your family, you are serving up bigotry at your breakfast table.”

Another thing is we need to stop calling them the mainstream media.
CNN, NBC, New York Times, Washington Post etc do not represent the majority of media consumption.
The amount of readers on InfoWars, Breitbart and Danger and Play has had has been staggering this year. They're the only ones who have been proven to not be corrupt.
They don't represent the majority of the populace either. They're just some weird holier-than-thou typists who wax lyrical about social justice and everything-ism.
And just look at the lovely name they've given us - the alternative media.
It makes us sound "out there". Fringe. Home to people who wear tinfoil hats and weave elaborate conspiracy theories about how "the media are corrupt".
Fuck all that noise.
I saw a great reply on a Paul Joseph Watson tweet where he dismissed the BBC asking for an interview:
This is the sentiment we need the hammer home.
Fuck all those news channels, newspapers, Hollywood, celebrities and more who have lied to us and manipulated at every turn.
Starting today, I implore all of you to never call them the mainstream media again.
The new term?
I used to call them the leftist or globalist media to friends, but this term hasn't and likely will never reach widespread usage because all leftists recoil from it.
Instead we need something more subtle, which is condescending but to the companies themselves rather than to the left so they are able to distance themselves from it and instead turn to our preferred media sources.
My suggestion: they are the Old Media.
They're dying, insane, senile old blowhards who are struggling to get by and ridiculously out of touch with reality.
In contrast we are the New Media.
We're young, smart, attractive and highly clued up about all matters from technology to politics.
We stay on top of all the trends and keep our ears close to the ground, outworking everyone with HIGH ENERGY and staying ahead.
Funnily enough, we're the mainstream now, so the rest of the world better get used to it.

Kelloggs breakfast cereals company announces they will never ever never advertise on Breitbart's website, because Breitbart "doesn't represent our values as a company".
It was dumb enough of Kelloggs to do this, given that Breitbart will just get other companies to advertise in place of Kelloggs.
It was even dumber when you consider the inevitable #DumpKelloggs hashtags that followed.
But the dumbest part reminds me of my favorite line from the Bible, in Genesis when God yells, "Who the fuck told you stupid asses that you were naked?" (The vision of an all-knowing God expressing frustration due to a clever logical dedication makes me laugh.)
So who the fuck told Kelloggs that their Corn Flakes and Pop Tarts represented anything other than a breakfast food? Their advertisers told us, as a manipulative ploy to get us to buy more, while looking down on us for having it work on us .
Today their lies worked on them. Praise Kek!
Quote:Kellogg’s Facebook Pages Erupt with #DumpKelloggs Messages for Blacklisting Breitbart
A number of Kellogg’s Facebook pages have erupted with complaints about the company withdrawing advertisements from Breitbart News, with many users tagging their complaints with the #DumpKelloggs boycott slogan which Breitbart debuted on Wednesday.
“I for one, am sick and tired of businesses trying to get political, if you want us to buy your products, stay out of politics!” commented one user in a visitor post to Kellogg’s Rice Krispies page.
“Interesting that Kellogs never perceived hate speech until they were told to perceive hate speech. Now that you have bowed to the Michelle Obama campaign to make everything tasteless and colorless no big loss for most to stop buying,” posted another.
Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes page was also bombarded with complaints, with some users simply posting the #DumpKelloggs hashtag.
“Kellog’s comments concerning Breitbart’s readers and their decision to stop advertising on the their website just earned a walk over to my kitchen pantry,” declared one long-time Kelloggs customer. “The Special K that my husband has eaten for many years is now in the kitchen garbage can. Breitbart was kind enough to print a list of your products. I thank them. None of them will be on my kitchen shelves ever again.”
“When a company caves into the ‘demands’ of the special little snowflakes that can’t handle adult life or opposing views be prepared to watch your stocks fall (oh, wait, they already have.) Maybe you should go and read EVERY article over the last year with an open mind and you’ll find none of the ‘hate’ you profess,” posted another.
“Companies need to learn to keep politics out of business.”
One poster proclaimed, “No more Kelloggs cereals, pop tarts etc will be brought into my home,” while another added that they “wont be buying” Kellogg’s products anymore due to the company’s treatment of Breitbart News and its audience.
The following are some of the other comments made to Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes page on Facebook since the company withdraw their advertisements:
“I will buy cereal from POST or other brands because you slandered me falsely as a “bigot” and 45 million other readers of Breitbart News Network.”
“Think about this KELLOGG… There are 3,141 counties in the United States. Trump won 3,084 of them. Clinton won 57. If you want to market to 57 counties in the US and alienate 3,084 of them, well, that’s none of my business… which is exactly what you will get. #ByeKelloggs #ByePepsi”
“You can keep your cereal. I won’t buy another box since you are pulling out of Breitbart”
“You no longer share the values of my family therefore I will no longer support you.”
Various other Kellogg’s pages also received complaints including “Kellogg’s Family Rewards” and “Kellogg’s ‘Anaaj ka Nashta’.”
“Because I read a conservative news source, I don’t share your values????” commented one user on the Family Rewards page. “Let’s see you get those Gluten free lib’s buy your stuff. [I’m] switching to POST.#dumpkelloggs #IheartBreitbart”
“So Kellogg’s values are to have no moral values? That certainly makes shopping easier! Thanks idiots,” added another.
One man simply commented, “YOUR FINISHED AT MY HOUSE!,” while another proclaimed: “I am boycotting Kellogg’s products as long as they are boycotting Breitbart.”
“So Brietbart does not match your values? You mean values like honesty, intergity, love of country and our consitution,” joked one commenter, adding, “What nitwit at your company felt it would be a good idea to dis middle class Americans who buy your products? Well this Mom who does the shopping for her famiky will no longer support liberal left wing corporations.”
On the “Anaaj ka Nashta” page, one man claimed to “have purchased the last product I will ever again purchase from your company”, while a military veteran asked whether his political views meant that he was no longer welcomed by the company.
“I have served this country as a military member for over 29 years and i voted for Trump,” declared the man. “Do you not want my business anymore? Just let me know.”
The page also received the following messages:
“I will no longer purchase anything under the Kellogg’s label. They have caved in to Leftist bully tactics. There pulling of advertising is taking a direct shot at Trump supporters and the President-elect and his administration. Trump supporters, hit them where it hurts.”
“Shame on Kellogg’s for discontinuing advertising on the Breitbart.com website. Kellogg’s has succumbed to the bullies who are grossly misrepresenting the values of the site. There is zero evidence of any inappropriate behaviour on that site. Kellogg’s will discover that the 60 million Trump supporters will react unfavourably to this news. Foolishness.”
Kelloggs pulled their advertising from Breitbart News after claiming that the news outlet was not “aligned” with company values.
“We regularly work with our media-buying partners to ensure our ads do not appear on sites that aren’t aligned with our values as a company,” said Kellogg’s Kris Charles. “We recently reviewed the list of sites where our ads can be placed and decided to discontinue advertising on Breitbart.com. We are working to remove ads from that site.”
Breitbart News Editor-In-Chief Alexander Marlow slammed Kellogg’s decision in a statement and encouraged a boycott of the company.
“Breitbart News is the largest platform for pro-family content anywhere on the Internet. We are fearless advocates for traditional American values, perhaps most important among them is freedom of speech, or our motto ‘more voices, not less,’” declared Marlow. “For Kellogg’s, an American brand, to blacklist Breitbart News in order to placate left-wing totalitarians is a disgraceful act of cowardice. They insult our incredibly diverse staff and spit in the face of our 45,000,000 highly engaged, highly perceptive, highly loyal readers, many of whom are Kellogg’s customers.”
“Boycotting Breitbart News for presenting mainstream American ideas is an act of discrimination and intense prejudice” he continued. “If you serve Kellogg’s products to your family, you are serving up bigotry at your breakfast table.”
Breitbart President and CEO Larry Solov also criticized Kellogg’s, branding the act as “un-American.”
“Kellogg’s has shown its contempt for Breitbart’s 45 million readers and for the main street American values that they hold dear,” said Solov. “Pulling its advertising from Breitbart News is a decidedly cynical and un-American act. The only sensible response is to join together and boycott Kellogg’s products in protest.”

Quote:Starting January 20, Donald Trump Can Send Unblockable Mass Text Messages to the Entire Nation
You’ve probably, at some point, gotten a text alert on your phone about some nasty weather, an Amber Alert about a missing child, or even a (very poorly worded) alert about police looking for a criminal. These 90-character messages, known as Wireless Emergency Alerts (or WEAs), are part of a program put in place after Congress passed the Warning, Alert, and Response Network (WARN) Act, in 2006. WEAs allow for targeted messages to be sent to every cell phone getting a signal from certain geographically relevant cell towers (or, in a national emergency, all of them).
Here’s where things get interesting. Per the FCC, a WEA may be sent for three different reasons:
What alerts does WEA deliver?
Alerts from WEA cover only critical emergency situations. Consumers will receive only three types of alerts:
1. Alerts issued by the President
2. Alerts involving imminent threats to safety or life
3. Amber Alerts
Participating carriers may allow subscribers to block all but Presidential alerts.
This fun quirk of the Wireless Emergency Alert system was brought to my attention by Twitter user Chris Lawrence:

While it’d be a true nightmare to get screeching alerts from your phone that “Loser Senate Democrats still won’t confirm great man Peter Thiel to Supreme Court. Sad!”, there are some checks and balances on this. While President-elect Trump hasn’t shown much impulse control when it comes to his favorite mass-messaging service, Twitter, the process for issuing a WEA isn’t as simple as typing out a 90-character alert from a presidential smartphone and hitting “Send.”
All WEAs must be issued through FEMA’s Integrated Public Alert & Warning System, meaning that an emergency alert from the president still has at least one layer to pass through before being issued. While FEMA is under control of the executive branch (the head of FEMA is selected by the president, and reports to the Department of Homeland Security), the agency would have a vested interest in not seeing their alert system bent toward, uh, non-emergency ends.
Perhaps an even bigger protection: Getting access to the system requires some time and effort — most people with access take at least two courses in how to use the system — something that it’s hard to imagine Trump (who doesn’t use a computer) learning how to do on his own. Which means he would need the help of his support staff to issue a WEA about how news outlets still refuse to stop taking pictures that emphasize his double chin — and the only time Trump’s Twitter wasn’t full of random surges of pure id and spite was when his campaign staff took his Twitter account away from him.
