The Donald surrounds himself with hot women it would seem. His campaign communcations manager;

I admit I've never voted or even been interested in voting because in the short amount of time I have been able to vote i never saw a point in voting for someone who would for the most part not change a damn thing.

Trump actually has me very interested in politics and voting for the first time because the man has the balls and intelligence to at least attempt to the move the country in the right direction instead of letting its greatness slowly descend.

I'm not surprised by this at all really. I've been saying for ages that "feminism" for many women who claim to be feminist is just another fashion to them. It's not principle or conviction the way many men assume. They hear some rhetorically persuasive argument nod along. But they aren't completely stupid and are usually way more critical of other women than even the "misogynist" Return of Kings. The moment a confident, charismatic man comes along with truth and vision, they don't hesitate to abandon their cotton candy feminism.

The fact that someone running for political office is proving so popular after his run of controversial statements just demonstrate to me how sick people are of politicians' vague word farts, their beige language that goes around the block to arrive at nothing. Every politician is guilty of this shit now. For a candidate to come along with not only a detailed plan but a determination to speak properly, is a rarity and Trump's continuing support shows this. The groups that the establishment and pollsters thought would be offended by Trump's very presence - non-Caucasians, women, etc - clearly aren't, which should be a loud and clear lesson that these people don't need to be permanently coddled.

The slogan says it all. President Obama's was "Change we can believe in". What does that even mean? 'Change' is a beige word in politics, something every candidate pulls out of the box because it just lazily taps into an emotion the electorate might be feeling without forcing the candidate to define that that change would ultimately be. The problem is that with large numbers of American voters being disillusioned with Obama's version of 'change' that shit won't wash.

Now look at Trump's slogan: "Make America great again". A slogan that means something.

I think Trump is doing something really rare: making people eager to get out and vote for him. I can't wait. I want the election right now. Hard to believe we have a full year of this crap to go.

Jeb is lifeless and lacks enthusiasm. George W was able to connect with people through humor and personality despite his obvious flaws.

Trump has energy and charisma. It will be interesting to see if he can sustain this pace over the next several months.

I'm on record saying that the pendulum was due to swing right (although I thought it might take another election cycle after Obama for it to get into high gear) and it looks like Trump is the disruptive force. The Republican establishment better hold onto their hats. It really looks like Trump has a shot.

The reporter (who clearly sounded angry and sarcastic) in the anchor baby exchange is Tom Llamas from ABC New York (formerly NBC). He is the son of two Cuban parents who fled the Castro regime to the US.

From his manner and background, I estimate he feels a kinship with anchor babies or perhaps sees himself as an anchor baby (solipsism isn't always just a female trait).

I don't agree he is an anchor baby or should feel much kinship with them. According to him, his parents obtained legal refugee status (see this interview: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jordana-zi...161.html). That seems likely, since many who fled the Castro regime became legalized refugees in the US. Therefore, his parents submitted to the proper process, went through all the administrative hoops and red tape necessary to become legally entitled to stay in the US. As refugees, they then had a family.

This isn't what Trump is talking about when he says "anchor babies". When people who are not US citizens themselves and have no intention of legally immigrating then still make sure they have their children in the US in order to foist those children on the US welfare state as "citizens" (then later perhaps making a "humanitarian" plea to keep the family together with the child "citizen"), that is what is offensive to Trump and to many other Americans.

Here's an extreme case:

We have pretty much the same policy in Canada (albeit our "chain" of relatives would not be unlimited) and I also find this offensive because of the potential for the same abuse. These people have no connection to the country they are targeting other than a desire to live there instead of where they are. They also have no intention of going to the time and expense of LEGALLY immigrating as they should. They are employing an underhanded tactic, a hack, to gain "humanitarian" access to the country and to the government cheese it supplies.

I'd actually say "anchor baby" is a pretty accurate term when considering all the above.

Even if Trump is told by the Supreme Court that he can't end anchor baby status without a constitutional amendment, at least he seems keen to have that fight. Hell, he might even then try to get that amendment. Everyone else is hiding their cowardice behind the law. If the law sucks, and everyone agrees it sucks, you have to try and change it.

For a start the questioner doesn't know what he's talking about. Plenty of "Anchor babies" are birthed by women who very much have documents. Not immigration documents or green cards but tourist visa's, study visa's and maybe also H1B visa's. Though I'm not sure the work related visa's qualify. So apart from using six words when two would suffice, the term would also be outright wrong.

Having a law that makes nearly every baby born in a country a citizen of that country is just the most stupid thing ever. Can anyone think of another country that has this as part of their nationality laws?

Clinton had what may well have been actual rapes in his past. But them of course his party's big-wigs wanted him to be their candidate.

Trump would have to be on the lookout for any sort of "gotcha" set-ups. Him and his team have to think steps ahead, so that if anyone tries something like that it will reflect back and take them out.

I would think that something like this has to be coming. The powers that be will stop at nothing and use everything in their bag of tricks to prevent The Donald from winning this thing.

What I worry about here is even if Trump does win, I could just see him getting bogged down in all the politics and slowly sinking into the abyss and not really getting too much done.

The President only has so much power and Congress controls the pursestrings for the most part. He'd probably end up having to shame them and use popular opinion to get some things done but that would be tricky with the lobbyists and people on both sides of the aisle trying to keep the status quo going. Just look at how the media attack him at every juncture they can - even the mainstream conservative media.

I hope I'm wrong.
