The S&P right now is at all time highs because the federal reserve is printing cash and giving it out to free to big banks, who then refuse to lend it out but instead invest it in the same stocks with their High Frequency Trading algorithms. Doubt it happens again. This country is falling strongly to the left. If illegal immigration goes through, then not long after the leftists will had 30,000,000 new voters.

There are still a few Republicans like this, Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, but most have moved to the left to get as much of the single mom/other looking for handouts vote.

The other party is based on mindless emotionalism. There is a reason that the real America (limited government) disappeared upon the advent of women's suffrage. EVERY Democratic President owes his election to the woman's vote. That is a mathematical and historic fact.

Exactly. And these young/inexperienced guys seem to think the Republicans are a good representation of the right side. They are not, they are left of center.

The right is libertarianism. It is freedom. Leftism is feminism. It is govt. taking away freedoms and giving back whatever they desire. In a country where there is massive discontent with both ruling parties, banks and the establishment in general, his message had potential to spread like wildfire.

So what did this guy do?

Yep. He kept ranting about the "injustice and colonialism of American hegemony" (who cares?), "intervention in Libya" (quite a justified intervention if I've ever seen one, also who cares?), "women's rights and rape epidemic" (weird how feminism can infest even libertarians, eh?) and the "merits of solar power" (that at least makes some sense in Croatia, but again, who cares?).

Finally he participated in elections for the EU Parliament with his primary message being that he would use his newfound diplomatic immunity to physically restrain a few Croatian bank workers from foreclosing some houses over unpaid loans. Whoop-de-fucking-do. I'm not voting for some clown who is going to use it to make a circus show instead of actually doing something useful.

I absolutely agree that we live in a too regulated society, and that many things regulated are done wrong to the point of being harmful instead of helpful. On paper, libertarianism sounds great to me. But in practice, I'll be damned if I could find just one appealing or practical example of it that I could support. The closest thing I've seen is that escort girl Maggie McNeil who writes about why decriminalizing prostitution would be far better than legalizing it, but she's not a politician.
