Leave it alone. People don't understand how seriously Marines take their uniform, emblems, and traditions. I'm a former Army dude that went to Ranger School, and trained with every elite branch of the military. But Marines are a different breed. It's almost like a cult. DO. NOT. FUCK. WITH. THEIR. SHIT. It's just that serious. I was embedded with a Marine Battalion in 2010- 2011 in Afghanistan and they would see someone with a ribbon, emblem, or Corps insignia in a photo and be incensed because it wasn't earned. There's a story behind every fucking thing that they wear. Even the stripe on their fucking pants. So leave the Jarheads and their gear alone.

it's hilarious that people jumped in this story so quick..only to find out its not real and continue to argue it.

the president has no authority over uniform changes..that was a dead give away that this was a hype story.

the stripes article even pointed this out. people just get made and slap Obama's name in it.

secondly..in all actuality..that helmet isn't unisex..it was used way before people decided to say it was.
the military had been experimenting with uniform changes for the longest.
the army just started testing alternate acu uniforms that fit better
