Quote:"Lots of Indian dudes are great guys. Most, even. Smart, funny, sociable, kind, handsome, eyes to kill for, the works.
But just as with every group, some aren't. Some are creeps. Usually creeps have no idea that they're creeps, don't understand why they're creeps, and get mad when people call them creeps. So why are Indian dudes so often creeps? Well, for the same reasons any guy is a creep, with a few cultural factors thrown in. I'll try to explain why in a way that encompasses creepdom as a whole, and which I think might be comprehensible to creeps. Now, if I could establish an informal Creepiness Quotient to describe the feeling someone gives you in the first few seconds they're hitting on you, I would do it as follows.
Creepiness = ( (Awkwardness x Forwardness) / (Attractiveness) )Persistence
Now, let's look at the factors here, with "you" being a nonspecific potential creep who is hitting on "me," a nonspecific person of sexual interest:
Awkwardness is the extent to which you demonstrate your inability to operate effectively in my chosen social environment. A person who cannot initiate or maintain a comfortable conversation with me is an unappealing choice of partner. Immigrants often score highly on Awkwardness, which is natural--they're working in an unfamiliar social environment. I think that's unfortunate, because usually it's not at all their fault.
Forwardness is the extent to which you convey that your goal is purely to use me as a sex-thing. If I think you like me because I'm interesting, this is noncreepy and good. If I think you like me because my part fits your part, that is creepy and bad. Men from some cultures tend to be more forward than men from others, depending on the appropriate gender roles in their societies. In my own personal experience, Indians are high on the Forwardness list. I'm not remotely qualified to offer a guess as to why, beyond "lol culture" which is not explanatory of anything.
Attractiveness is a saving grace! Maybe you're hot, maybe you've got a great voice, maybe you've got nice arms, maybe you told a great joke, maybe I like your clothes, maybe you belong to the same subculture I do. Maybe you aren't an obese scuzzlord with halitosis who smells like BO and salmonella. Rules #1 and #2 aren't all there is, but they definitely help. I don't think your ethnicity makes you more or less likely to be attractive as a rule, though some individual people have some degree of preference.
Persistence is bad news. Persistence is when you don't take "no" for an answer. Persistence is when you apply pressure, is when you get aggressive or defensive, and is when you demand explanations for why I won't date you. At high levels, persistence is when you start to give off rape vibes. Persistence is what you get when someone believes they are entitled to sex with me or entitled to a relationship with me, and my opinion on the matter is an inconvenience. Persistence is a creepiness multiplier. An awkward, unattractive dude who says "ey, you got nice tits, I got a nice dick, so, wanna fuck" then leaves when I say no? He's creepy, yes. A dude who is otherwise normal but who won't leave me alone? Way creepier.
In my experience, this is where so many Indian guys lose it: the entitlement/persistence factor. Begin with traditional gender roles, teach them to a child of a rich businessman in a society with sharply defined social classes, who has always gotten everything he wants, and who is somewhat inclined to see people 'below' him as less deserving of consideration. Then turn that child into a STEMlord engineering student who has had minimal successful contact with actual human beings. That's a recipe for a guy who thinks he deserves women but doesn't have any idea about how to 'get' them. So he gets persistent, because hey, that's how you succeed at anything, right, you just find what you want and take it? And now he's creepy as fuck.
This whole thing is of course not limited to Indian dudes. Any guy can be a creeper, for similar reasons as above. But if you're asking why so many Indian students in Western universities are creepers, well, that's why: unfamiliarity with their new nation's social norms and gender roles (Awkwardness and Forwardness) combined with a disturbing sense of entitlement and an inability to handle disappointment (Persistence) means high creepiness.
EDIT: Women can be creeps too, of course. In the above, I assume the creep is a man, partially for ease of pronoun use, and partially as an reflection of the relatively higher incidence of male creeps."

Had a run in with an IRT (Sri Lanka) while I was in a cab. It was about 11:45pm after seeing my LTR.

IRT Taxi Driver: Hey buddy..where to?
ME: (I give my address)
IRT: Great......Are you Spanish (I assume he means Hispanic)?
ME: ugh....no...white
IRT: Thought so...Been drinking?
ME: what?....no
IRT: Girlfriend?
ME: yeah I just came from seeing her
IRT: is she white too?
ME: (pretty fucking annoyed by now).....yeah
IRT: (giddy smile on his face)...Had a good time buddy?
ME: (ignore comment pretend I need to check my phone)

A few mins later

IRT: How old you?
ME: 27
IRT: No..buddy you look like you are in college age
ME: (WTF?)....thanks

After he continues to ramble on asking questions (including the value of my house) I decide to turn the tables and start asking him inappropriate questions about his life

ME: So how old are you?
IRT: 43
ME: Are you married? Kids?
IRT: No
Me: Girlfriend?
IRT: no
ME: Why not?
IRT: no time..you know.currently going back to school.
ME: Where?
IRT: Pierce College (community college in LA)
ME: cool..I bet it is a nice place to meet cute young women.
IRT: ..........(silence)...........

By this point I am having trouble containing my laughter. I have finally meet a real life IRT.

Pakistani/Indian Guy Here !

Born & raised in Orange County, white washed.

Yes i was insecure, introverted, extremely jealous, and neurotic.

Key word: WAS

Yet I still managed to lose my virginity at 15 (I'm 27). There are males in family that are are/near my age that have had barely their first girlfriend. It's a sad time.

As I got older I got keen to learning game especially after my 3rd major (failed beta) relationship. I discovered the red pill & ROK (granted I feel like a rookie still). Life seriously has increased tenfold with me being confident, working out, staying well dressed, and being a little cocky.

I SMH at alot of FOB's that are like the ones described in this post. They could do so much better if they weren't so defensive.

Wasn't going to post here but was sitting in front of my laptop and I thought, I wonder if irt.com exists and who's it taken by. So I went on the site and sure enough there's a company called IRT.

Anyone care to guess what it is?

Because of this forum I can't read IRT in a sentence with a straight face... e.g. "IRT is pleased to announce that..."

There are about 5 Indian dudes staying at my "boutique" hotel. They are all in the same room. Every night they eat at the hotel and actually go behind the counter and harass the lady who cooks. They think they are being cute but she tells me in Spanish that they are annoying her non stop.

I haven't left the hotel because I've seen this city inside and out and just want to chill. I'll walk down the street to eat or something and wait for a girl to come over.

*sub note, there is an all girls school less that a block away, they wear the uniforms and what not.

Anyway, I have no idea what they are doing here. They don't leave the hotel either, but they dress up and take selfies with sunglasses on at night in the bar area.

These guys need Bojangles desperately.

I know, right? I don't know what the hell would happen if I was in a serious meeting or something and the acronym IRT came up. I'd probably burst into laughter.

I am confused by this forum.

What is the official line on Indian Race Trolls?

Are we supposed to think that Indian guys hide behind their race if they are unsuccessful with women?

That may be so - but I still believe it is much harder for Indian guys to pull since women are influenced by the media. And there are ZERO cool Indian guys in pop culture.

That is some hard shit to break through right there.

Indian/Pakistani guy here

Currently living in Southern California (Born and raised 1st gen).

I used to think like these pathetic beta trolls, I don't think its much harder to pull women at all. In fact it drives me more to get more girls.

I've never had a girl ask me anything beyond "are you indian, are you arabian, are you middle eastern" I don't see race as a factor at all, I'm also 5'9ish as well. (Why would any of that matter if you aren't wasting time on girls who aren't interested in you anyways ?)

I broke through the other side, so can other brown brothers.

It's a mindset and determination, you also have a leg up if you were raised in the states. Alot of FOB's and Desi's I met have horrible style, hygene, socially awkward, or don't understand social norms. Then blame their race or American girls for being bitches.

You just need an open mind to learn, the rest will follow.

Yeah, I've come across a lot of fobby Indian dudes that don't wear deodorant, even when they go out at night. And I can smell the musk from a few feet away. I wonder how the hell they could not know that it's a social taboo in the west to stink like that when you go out at night.

Another thing I wonder is what will become of these guys? I don't get the impression that as many Indian women immigrate here as males. So if these guys can't cross the racial line, what do they do? Do they just resign themselves to no play for the rest of their lives or do they eventually return to India to find a wife?

Probably P4P or arranged marriage back home. Most IRT are usually very competent in their field so command high salaries to fund 100 bucks to beat down a lizard every fortnight or so..

Yeah they get arranged marriages or head back to india or have one brought here. From my experience it's usually 50/50 of it lasting or going to divorce court.

I'm with you man, I have noticed that this thread constantly attracts two types of trolls:

1) The original Indian Race troll has long come and gone, however this has given people the excuse to be openly racist about the entire subcontinent calling them smelly, bad with game etc. Any Indian featured in a Youtube clip acting awkwardly is immediately posted on here and is celebrated as a Race Troll. The guys posting here base their opinion from the interactions they have with Indians in the west - mostly FOB programmers or taxi drivers. FOBS are socially awkward and form their opinions about the west from the media back in India where western women are portrayed as easy or slutty. The frustration, that sometimes manifests in to cockblocking, that some of you guys have witnessed through your interactions with them is from their realization that their perception of western women or dating (through the media from back home) does not actually match reality.

2) Mostly second generation Indians, who want to distance themselves from the FOB guys, so they are completely okay with other members making huge negative generalizations about their race. Since they do not have an accent and are westernized their barriers to entry to successfully dating western women are much lower than their FOB compatriots. So you'll find them harping about how they overcame their limitations or how good their game is. But this doesn't stop them from bashing their own race not wanting to acknowledge the fact that the generalizations that this thread makes about South Asians apply to their parents, friends and family.
Fisto 路 2014-04-12 17:43:00 路 #916
Swagger, it seems like in your first point that you are saying it's ok to make fun of FOB indians because they do have all the characteristics people make fun of in this thread.

Then you take issue with Indian dudes making fun of those same characteristics.

You need to cut Indian guys some slack.

I'm not okay with anyone make huge generalizations, however, some truths are harsh (aka bashing), and witnessed from experience. Regardless if it's from family or friends, the truth hurts. Nothing wrong with harping on success in the face of adversity. Yes it applies to friends and family as well, I've got americanized family and FOB family, their is an obvious difference, but I love them the same.

The point is these generalizations (truths) can be changed.

My point is it's not that hard to overcome these so called "barriers". Game can be learned regardless of so called "handicaps".

No, both are equally bad IMO. However, with Type 1, I want to give them the benefit of the doubt that people can be culturally unaware and thus make generalizations vs. being outright racists or bullies picking on a race that doesn't fight back.

Agreed. Infact, we are around the same age and have similar backgrounds. But guys like us are probably less than 1% of the demographic that actually makes the transition and experience success.

To have second generation Indians who have a significant advantage constantly compare themselves to FOBs and berate them seems like troll like behavior.

Look I'm not trying to berate them, I'm simply explaining the observations I've seen with them. Recently what's come to light, I never spoke in a positive way of how FOBs and Desi's have adpated to American culture and/or crush girls with game. I've seen men with heavy accents still get 7+ girls to which I applaud them for. Obviously 2nd gen's have an advantage over 1st gen, but you're right we should be able to pat ourselves on the back but at the same time not berate others.

^ One thing I like that Kaotic points out is that a lot of this is a personal choice on whether men seek self-progress or not.

I think some of the teasing that gets misinterpreted as bashing/hating isn't directed at EVERY SINGLE brown guy, but rather those who choose to adopt self-limiting/jealous beliefs, or worse, purposely reject and remain ignorant towards assimilation and self-progress.

I know Pakistani and Indian guys who come from very stereotypical traditional families, who pull girls of every background (yes, even white blondes).

Their siblings may be the exact opposite and still considered FOB's, the difference being that the individual players chose to dedicate themselves to better grooming, dressing, social skills, fitness, etc. just like the rest of us.
