Apparently I'm just getting to the point in my life where girls from my past who never settled down, or who are divorced now, are starting to try to rekindle old flames. It's funny and sad and awkward as hell.
One is making a hard bid lately, this being a girl I never hooked up with, though she knew I was interested for years. The only times I had girls come on this hard in my life was when I was in the army, and they were trying to trick me into impregnating them. It feels cheap. I'm ignoring her, because I can't think of a nice way to say "Yeah, I was into you when you were 18 years old and hot, but the years and the pounds since really don't do it for me. Do you have a much younger sister I never met?"
Since back then I considered it a cold streak if I was only banging
one girl regularly, I'm not one of those bitter guys who never got the time of day from a girl in school who takes pleasure in their pain as they slam into the wall. I mostly just want them to go away.
I guess this belongs in the online girl thread because these are women I haven't seen in person in well over a decade. It takes some serious hamster to think just because I had a bad crush on a girl in high school that I'd be interested now. My SMV has gone way up since then, and I have a never-banged-a-girl-over-22 streak to keep up here. Get real, ladies.
Facebook tells me other guys my age have been falling for this shit, though. One guy who was kinda part of my circle of friends in HS just got together with a girl he has been orbiting for about
fifteen years. He's all happy and people are saying how lucky he is on facebook.

Yeah, you really won a prize there pal. At least she stayed thin. She's younger than him, and they got together within a few months of her turning 30. Standard feminist life plan, one each.

Hey! She's tired of the games, dontcha know??
At first blush, you'd look at this profile and think "Wow, she's in shape and into all sort of cool things, so why is she single?"
But then it clicks: All the qualities she listed are guy qualities. This would be like a man listing his credentials as: "Likes to wear frilly clothes" or "I love to cool for the one I love!" Men probably think if they're gonna date her, they might as well date a guy.
Also, women judge masculinity in relation to their own femininity. Since she's so masculine, she probably looks at most men and sees feminine wimps. When a woman is kicking ass 24/7, she needs hyper-uber-masculinity.
Then they wonder why they wind up with muscle-heads who slap them around. The troublemakers that would have set alarm bells off in mom's head are just about masculine enough these days.
Once again, I'm convinced the reason men and women can't click anymore is because suburban parents raise their daughters as sons. There is something that's just an innate turnoff about seeing a "fierce" girl "kick ass" on a soccer field.
No sane teenage boy has posters of women in athletic gear on his wall. And no woman who wants to be with a guy should ever describe herself as "fierce" or "badass."
I do appreciate that she's not a fat, tatted SJW blob, though. So there's that.
^^^^^^
Addendum: The word "cool" should be "cook" in the above post. It's a typo. Any chance senior members can be given day-long privileges to edit posts?
Also, I meant to make a snarky comment about her playing football. If you went out with her, you'd have to say "I'm dating a football player."
Yeah, that's a cool thing for a man to tell his friends and colleagues. Let's see the reaction that gets around the water cooler.

I've read many thousands of women's online dating profiles over a span of almost 15 years.
The one common theme I've seen is that of
projection. It works something like this:
1. Woman desires a strong and independent man.
2. Woman then projects that men desire a strong and independent woman.
3. Woman writes her online dating profile and describes herself as strong and independent.
4. Man reads that many women describe themselves as strong and independent.
5. Man writes in his online dating profile that he seeks a strong and independent woman.
6. Neither man nor woman is happy with the online dating process.
7. Repeat steps 1 through 6 until woman acquires cats and man learns PUA.

If I hadn't seen the pic and know it was a girls profile I would have thought that was a slightly socially awkward guys profile.
Every trait is "I have hobbies and a financially stable life" which is what girls are looking for.
Guys couldn't care less if she's worked in the same company for 11 years or owns her own house.

Yes, it's the same reason why women like to clutter up their dating profiles with pictures of them jumping out of airplanes, surfing, climbing mountains etc.
Its projection of the highest order - they assume that because they want those kind of things in a man we want them too in a woman.
Nope. 5 pictures of you looking as hot as you can muster will be enough, thanks very much. You don't even need to leave your house.
I have no idea what your arse looks like jumping out of a plane at 10,000 feet, or how your tits look encased in a Northface jacket at the top of the Pyrenees.
Just a few photos of you in a tight dress with heels is all you need, ladies.

^Dudes, pay attention to this. Don't put up photos on your profile that you think will attract women. Use photos that mirror the images that women are putting up.

Typical college-educated white chicks treat their dating profiles like a resume, and that's how they read too. A list of their professional, educational, and recreational accomplishments. How much they travel, how independent they are, etc. I don't blame them - they've been told their entire life that this is what is valued and expected of them. To the same token, they also get rewarded for it most men tend to think those things make women valuable and will give them attention and praise.
A lot of men perpetuate it too which is sad. DOBA, you mentioned in jest that a would-be boyfriend of said girl would hhave to say "I'm dating a football player." While humorous, there are a lot of men that would find pride in saying that. Men have been programmed just the same to think it's "cool" when girls act like guys. When they speak foul mouthed, drink like frat boys, do manual labor, and play rough and tumble sports.
Personally I don't want a woman that doesn't have money, doesn't exercise and isn't independent. Most guys that get raped by the legal system in a divorce have women that don't have money, don't exercise and aren't independent. If you're looking for a partner these are the things you probably should pay attention to. If you're just trying to get a shot of pussy it doesn't matter, though a fitter chick will like have a tighter pussy and more of a sex drive.

To add to the list:
1.Tattoos
2. Aggressive behavior
3. Masculine body language
4. Cursing like a fuckin' sailor
5. "DGAF" attitude (of course women suck at it and only do it as a front, they always care what people think at the end of the day)

Excellent points.
There is nothing more awkward-looking or unsexy than a female action shot. The exception is female volleyball players, but even they look dykish while moving.
As a general rule, the male body looks good in action and the female body looks good in a state of rest. This is why a lot of classic art has men in battle and women reclining.
Just as women don't want to see photos of men draped over couches like Playboy Playmates, we don't want to see women running around.
If any women are reading this, the following photo is the male equivalent of what we see when you post your biking and hiking pics:

Seeing "loves to travel" on a woman's profile is a huge red flag to me. Sure, she loves to travel - on your dime!

Loves to travel means she loves riding dick when she travels
"Young wild and free"
"not looking for anything serious"
"down to earth"
"Love beach, gym, (X), (Y), (Z)"
Every single girl ever on a dating app is completely predictable.

I've discussed this with my friends. This right here is the problem with dating in Western society as it stands.
Let's say you're working on a 10 point scale. The
average guy should have a masculinity score of 7 and women shouldn't be masculine at all- but on average they can be about 3-4. There should always be a 3 point disparity between on how masculine and how feminine the girl is in order for a couple to work together as couple. Unfortunately now men are being feminized and women are becoming more masculine throwing the ratios and points out of whack. Now the average guy is about 5-6 and the woman is now 4-5.
I know you can sometimes say, "Well I see happy couples all the time", but the more I think about it- is it me or am I seeing more relationships that look less like happy couples but more like happy siblings?
Point is: Femininity/Masculinity disparity is what makes couples work.

Don't forget:
"Tired of the games"
"If you're a playa, move along"
"My son/dau/cat/horse/dog is my life"
^^^ Amazing.
"Fluent in sarcasm"
Skydiving picture
"___ is my life" absolutely Lee
I went out with a girl a while back that is fairly attractive but nearing the wall. At one point this came out of her mouth "My career and my kids come first" or something to that effect. My stomach turned, knowing that she knew her dad was a maggot and her mom was like this (and ended up thinking this way I'm sure due to the dad being an idiot), so she figured she had to be too. American woman with divorced parents and a "career"?
Needless to say, I don't talk to her anymore.
