TLDR from below. How do you guys deal with a guy who is subtlety taking jabs at you?
I have a regular group of girls drive around in my cab. I have barely if ever flirted with any of them. Strictly business since they make me decent money, I offer them the same discount I offer to other regulars. One of them gets a boyfriend who starts tagging along and the moment he enters my cab he starts subtlety talking down to me. Hes the type of person who won't say how he actually feels but he will take small little jabs at you and if you call him on it he will deny thats what he meant and throw things in your face like "why are you freaking out" or "your being too paranoid" etc. I never called him out on what he was doing but Ive dealt with this type of person before.
Examples: bro in question gets in my cab and asks if he can smoke, I say "No.". He says "oh, they told me you were cool". I say "not going to happen". Another situation the group of them witness me turning down another cab fair because a girl was too drunk and the random drunk girls friend slams my cab with his hand. I see my regulars later that night and they ask what happened and I explain why I didnt take those people and how the guy called me a goof as I drove off. The bro says "oh I bet that happens a lot". Now in this case he could easily say that he meant people get angry at me for not giving them a ride but at this point I know he meant that I get called a goof all the time.
So after 3 rides with this bro he finally hit my breaking point. He started implying that the only reason why I am giving these girls a ride is because I am trying to get laid. I defended myself calmly basically saying "i get hot girls in my cab all the time" to which the girls in the back seat chimed in to my defense.
I sense insecurity on his part in a couple situations including this one so I am assuming the girls talk about me positively in front of him. At the end of this ride the dude gets out and I told the bros GF I didnt want him in my cab anymore.

It's really spread out, so it's very destination oriented. My sense is that there is a lot going by way of house parties if you know the right people.
Otherwise it's mostly regulars chilling out at the bars from what I saw on a Saturday night. The L train was busted, so that might have something to do with it.

Yeah it's mostly house parties...no great venues really. The L Train has some fly shorties but hipsters can be very snobby unless you are one yourself. The hottest ones are in the East Village or hang out there. The good thing about Bushwick is that there is a good mix of other races, and hardly anyone besides the latino locals are from New York. If you know the city well, you have an easy in with them.
