This came up as a a question from another member, re: foreign countries too: Is Tinder age restricted?

I haven't used it in a while but I know that my early-mid 30s profile matched with 18-21 year olds.

Does anyone know if it is ever restricted, or if it's just a matter of what your age range is?

Kids 17 and younger can only match with other in that category.

I tried boozt now and I'm in Hua Hin, apparently there is not enough active users here so I got suggested for girls in Bangkok too. It's great though will continue using it, just annoying getting to many matches. In the end it will probably be harder to get matches without it when everybody start using it.

What's the quality of these Super like girls vs Regular match girls? Girls tell me they sometimes match with super likes out of some bizarre feeling of obligation or reciprocity - regardless if they intend on talking to them.

I'm also going on my personal experience of this but I am going to be open minded about it. Personally, I usually use them as a 'hail mary' after I run out of regular matches.

I did get 1 match from 2 boosts. Either this shitty app is bugged again, the algorithm doens't like me anymore, or its just not useful anymore.

I was really pissed. Obviously it costs money, but the profile of a russian model I wacked off to last week was shown to me... while boost was on and nothing was happening. That really rustled my jimmies.

Got around 20. But most of them were 6's a few 7's. So pretty much nothing out of the ordinary.

I've skimmed through the last few pages, and have seen some making the same mistake I used to make way back in the day when Tinder came out.

here it comes: your main goal when you match with a girl is to get her number ASAP

once you open her and she responds you ask for her number right away (should be your second msg or third), you're not on tinder to chat with her or get to know here, YOU'RE ONLY THERE TO GET HER NUMBER

why?
1- once you get her number, you set yourself apart from all 150+ matches she has
2- you dont waste your time on attention whores (plenty of em on tinder)
3- if she for some reason deletes her profile, you can still connect with her
and many other reasons i could think of.. like restart a few months later if things dont go well first time

I dont remember where i got this from but pretty sure from somewhere here in the forum, I pretty much learned everything there's to know about gaming from here

Last time i used tinder was summer of 2015, and it seems that so much has changed since then, bumble used be shit back then, now it seems it's gotten more popular and some having success with it

Again you could be one of 150 matches asking to meet her on tinder or one of 5 texting her phone number to meet

on another note, once you get her number you look it up on facebook see if she's real or not, could be a guy

*** trying to get the number right away may not be the best way, but from personal experinece, I've had great success going for the number second or third msg

You could use the same logic saying that you matched with her. This might be an effective strategy if shes a couple points below you but it should rarely work on someone in your league.

Decided to jump on tinder to see if Irish women are still a pain in the ass.
Literally within 5 minutes I got a match with a 24yo 5/6 at best, look at the response from the troublemaker opener.... I can't wait to leave this place.

So, to Super Like or not to Super Like? The best opinion I've read on this thread is to use it on girls considerably older or younger than you, or unreasonably far away. There are quite a fair few girls older than me, and I'm not sure how many of those would set their age range to below theirs (Sparrow chick is 4 years older). I just super liked a German 10, wonder if that was too hasty.

RedPillUK — Not that it needs any explanation, but my third pic has me aiming a shotgun upwards. Lying about shooting zombies could've worked, as 95% of girls wouldn't be able to tell that that sort of arm aimed that way could only be meant for birds. Sparrows are classed as a pest animal in Australia (as with other "cute" animals like deer), hence I naïvely thought it'd be a safe answer.

First, I have to say that I am not a bad-looking person. In fact, independent girls have rated me at least at 7 in real life and I get ratings much higher than that in RateMyPhotos app. Furthermore, I am an extra in feature films and have been told that I am very good-looking for the films. Yet, even despite making some professional DSLR portraits of myself, I get nothing in the London area. [but MUCH better in other countries]

Based in London, UK, I noticed that the girls on Tinder steadily got less good looking, uglier, very fat and ugly and downright deformed. How can it be I asked? Surely there must be a mix of girls at various appearances, just like with all people - assuming Tinder is honest?

Wow.. within minutes, the women appearing on Tinder went from about 1/10 to 8/10. Maybe even some 8.5 - if such grading exists.

Of course, the problem is that I cannot meet them because the photos are not real.

Guys, WAKE UP!!! WAKE UP!!! WAKE UP!!! As an IT professional by trade, it is obvious that Tinder uses an algorithm [but not in the way mentioned in the press]. They do this:
1. You get graded on your looks. It must be based PURELY AND SOLELY on how many women swipe right on you.
2. Step 1 gets RE-CALCULATED very often. I need your help to find out just how often! My feeling is - every 60 minutes plus a major overnight calculation every 24 hours.
3. You get shown a choice of girls exclusively based on your grading.

Examples:
E.g.
a. If you get no likes (because you live in anglo-sphere e.g. London) you will get shown grade 1 - ugliest, fattest and deformed monsters on Tinder.
You will NOT know of the existence of good-looking girls in your area and they will NOT know about existence of your profile either!
[because you did not get a chance to like them]
b. If you are a supermodel who gets 10,000 likes in 1 hour, you will get a choice of grade 8,9 etc.
c. It is very much possible and likely that grading is also relative. So you might be rated at 3 not just on number of women liking you, but that very number RELATIVE to the statistics of other guys in your area. This is then based on percentiles and relative rankings too.


Unfortunately, it literally means that you will ONLY see the good-looking girls if you get some many likes and it also means that the good-looking girls WILL NOT see your existence, unless you are a super-model.

Do not fool yourselves into believing that their algorithm has much to do with how many girls you liked, or with your age or membership level.
Do not fool yourselves into believing that Tinder is honest and fair, giving you a random mix of women in your area to like/dislike.

Currently, I am only mildly comfortable, knowing that Tinder's time will come to an end. Everything comes to an end. It will die sooner than many software and dating apps and sites. It is just a matter of time. But for now it remains stubbornly popular.
