I just had a business idea, which I think would be quite successful. Buy 30,000 acres of land in a rainforest, or some other completely underdeveloped area. Then charge rich people (who want to live a simpler life/ reconnect with their roots/ leave behind stressful city life and be eco friendly) to live on it as hunter gatherers or simple farmers and offer them 1-10 year contracts plus a 6 month training period. This would be a cool business.
Maybe you could even offer some form of qualification to show that person has connected with the earth and would a suitably well grounded leader for the 21st century or some bullshit like that.

I feel like a dick. My friend is coming out from brazil and I offered him a place to stay. He's one of the kids that let me stay with him in brazil and I stayed with him a long time. Maybe a month total. At first when I offered he said he'd be here for about 3 weeks. I was like, "man, I have three other roommates, it's going to be hard to swing. Americans aren't as friendly about that stuff, but may be able to find you another place for a week or so and you can stay with me a week." Cause let's face it, how many of your roommates would be stoked about someone staying at your house for 3 weeks? Then today he hits me up and says he's going to aspen the day I get back! He had originally said he was going to Florida first for a month or two. That would have worked out, so I could move in and get to know the guys a little before telling them id have someone coming out and staying for a week or two. It was all through message and I saw the message when I woke up and said, "man, I won't even be moved into my house on Sunday, I don't move in until the next day, and it's going to be a bad look if my first day moving in I say I have someone staying for a couple weeks, I don't even know these guys!" He replies, "it's all good man, I have a place to stay, I just wanted to let you know I was coming."

I think that's pretty understandable for an American, but for a Brazilian I don't think hell really realize where I'm coming from, because in brazil they are much more open to things like that. He helped me out big time and saved me some major money in brazil, plus showed me a fucking great time and helped me out a lot in other ways too. I really owe this guy if I owe anyone. I'm feeling kind of like a dick.

There is a domain name being deleted in 2 days and no one has backordered it at SnapNames, where is the cheapest place to backorder it? Should I attempt to manually go after it?

That was a good toenail, man. I never got ingrown toenails and it survived many stubbings.


It was finally done in during basketball game. I kicked the shit out of the wall, my big toe took the brunt of the impact. I kept playing and it only funked it up more. I took off my shoe and it was on its way off, holding on by some nerve endings I suppose.

Ingrown nails are bitches, but breaking a toenail sucks. Enjoy the 6-9 months without a nail.

I see forum members ask how to download videos off of YouTube every now and then. A simple way is to download a "script manager" and to download a userscript for the said extension. For example, my browser is Google Chrome, so I would download/use "TamperMonkey" ( Google it, it's highly rated script manager), and then go to userscripts.org (All scripts are free, and many people leave reviews for a lot of the scripts, so you can get an idea if it's working or not), and download/use " download YouTube videos as MP4". The script I listed is very good, it integrates a download button directly into the YouTube interface itself, it should be placed next to the "about" heading. You'll be able to download in FLV (flash) or MP4 formats in all resolutions that the video you're watching offers. So if you're watching a 1080p video on YouTube, you'll be able to download in 1080p and below in FLV and MP4 formats.

If you have the time I also recommend checking out some of the other scripts on the site, there's some cool ones that can block YouTube channels you don't like, and there's also one that let's you use VLC player on YouTube instead of the stock one, just to name a few.

Other browsers would use other script managers, but the concept is still the same.


This script has been very useful to me, and you should get great use out of it as well. This is mostly how I learn how to repair new items, I usually download the video off of YouTube, and practice what the other members there were teaching (A/C, cars, electronics, appliances, e.t.c.). I recommend downloading and not just bookmarking, because I've seen how-to videos deleted every now and then, so it's best to have a copy on your HDD.

I think it's real. The only scene which left me with any doubt was shoplifting in the grocery store.

But the pageant scene? Obviously the crew had some hand in setting it up, but the contestants, their parents, and the judges had no fucking clue.

The scene with where Knoxville rockets through the store window on a children's ride? I'm sure things were pre-arranged with the store, but I'm gonna say "real." The pedestrians nearby had no fucking clue.

Cool. My best friend was saying he thought it was fake and it kind of discouraged me to go see it, but maybe I'll go check it out tomorrow and see for myself.

Buddy of mine is trying to convince me to be roommates. Everyone says he has great game, I can't really say for sure as I've never gone out to pick up girls with him. Might be worth it at least short term, just to see what terrible things would happen.

In other news... I'm getting older this weekend. I honestly feel like I've hit that age where I don't really even want to celebrate bdays anymore, but maybe it's the cold weather. Either way, I'm sure I'll be getting trashed all weekend.
