I came to the forum through happening upon a ROK article, funnily enough. I don't know which one, though. At the time I was lurking on The Attraction Forums.

After several months of lurking here and reading all of Roosh's material, I finally decided to join up.

Similarly to some others. I felt like I was in a rut. I desired certain types of hoes but never got them. I was turning what should be ONS's into LTR's in order to get regular sex. I couldn't figure out how to get what I want and my mind was cluttered by misleading ideas I had picked up and held onto. I noticed that girls had become immodest whores during the past decade and a half. So one evening I did a google search for 'getting the girls you want' or something similar and linked to roosh's blog. Read a lot of that and ended up on ROK and then lurked on RVF for months before signing up.

I came in through a site called Happierabroad.com (which I stumbled upon reading a random article about how foreign women are better than American women as I was preparing a trip to the Philippines). One of the threads was titled "Why Washington D.C sucks for guys by Roosh V". Read the article, liked it and then clicked on the link to the forum. I am thankful for this site, my game resource prior to this was dropping $200 on a David Deangelo DVD series.

I was reading a lot of travel memoirs and dreaming about breaking up with my girlfriend to move to Rio and train Jiu Jitsu, party, and bang Brazilian girls.

I found A Dead Bat in Paraguay on Amazon and bought it and read it. I checked out the forum a couple of times but this was way before it was popular and I forgot about it. It wasn't until after I moved to Chiang Mai, then went back to the US and was stuck in my shit hole town for 8-9 months that I remembered the forum and checked it out again. I had been let down by a buddy as we were planning a vacation to DR or Cuba. I've travelled all my life but I've always had a connect at the destination to receive me. Since I do not speak Spanish, I needed extra intel since it's harder to wing it if there is a language barrier. My <insert family member> that there is a pretty good forum with well travelled dudes that could advise me on which island to pick and how to go about maximising my slay .
As I'm an incorrigible ass fanatic, my enjoyment is very much tied into big assed lizards. I made my decision to go to DR on my own as an anglophone, enjoyed myself immensely and gave a write up when I returned. Now I feel an obligation to the forum whenever travelling to produce a data sheet.
I've also met some very awesome people from this forum.

I was doing research on the internet about the Philippines and stumbled upon the "PoorButHappy" site which was taken down at the time I think, but you could still view the articles if you refreshed the page or something like that.

One of the articles or comments mentioned Roosh's site and the rest is history. I was already red-pill for the past 15 years, since being fucked over by feminists and family court tends to accelerate your awakening rapidly, but I was pleasantly surprised to see there were both many others who were awoken and a very dedicated forum for us.

However, I would never have had the information needed and quite frankly the balls to go to SEA solo, live there for 2 months, and open me to a world you will never really know until you go. For that, I am every grateful to Roosh, and the many quality members here that posted their detailed, raw, and honest experiences

Came here via a circuitous route.

Dabbled in old school PUA stuff back in 2004/2005 era - right around the time Game came out. Read all of Jester's stuff and used it pretty effectively around the 2007 time frame. Got me a couple of notches and a LTR. LTR lasted about three years then fell apart in 2011. Went back to the PUA forums - and didn't really like what I saw. Read a few game denialist blogs for a bit - they kept shitting on this guy Roosh so I figured I'd check him out. Roosh's blog made a ton of sense so I bought Bang and Day Bang and started lurking on the forums. Met a solid 8 former playboy model at a bar in December 2012 and did not want to fuck it up so I joined the forum in January 2013, got some solid advice and got the notch. Been here ever since.

Was thinking about this (how people discover this forum), and thought I'd bump it in case any of the new guys are coming here a different way (saw Oz show anyone?).

I think I was searching through travel advice for some countries and saw a blog post from 'Naughty Nomad' which I clicked. I then read all of that blog, and on subsequent narrowed searches found the 'swooptheworld' blog and country datasheets on the NNF. On follow-up searches for specific countries the 'rooshvforum' was coming to the top (even when NNF was in the search term lol) because it had more matching threads, so I came here to read them.

I was browsing the AnonymousConservative.com blog, because I was very interested in his amygdala-attack and amygdala-deficiency hypothesis. He mentioned Matt Forney as a master amygdala-attack generator. I discovered Matt Forney's excellent trolling articles, then did a google search on those articles to browse further commentary.

This was the first RVF thread I ever read. From there, I was hooked by the seriousness and hilarity of this forum. You guys have made me belly laugh every day in ways that no other place has.
