Right. It is the ones who recognize the differences in humanity that can solve the problem, and those that see sameness that are the scourge.

That's all fun and Sheldon-Coopery, but the vast majority of people don't LIVE like that, and you know it. Risk managment in the real world is governed by perception, not rigid formulary. You sound like Obama when he says, "more people die in their bathtubs than terrorist attacks." So the fuck what? We stop taking baths? I look up the current body count before I draw the water?

Sorry LeeEnfield, but you're totally wrong here. Risk management is precisely about risk assessment through scientific methodologies and actuarial assessments, filtering out perceptions and biases. Whole industries are actually built on this.

That's not scientific. You clearly aren't as good of a scientist as you think you are.

1. Statistics aren't a science.
2. There is no model for human behavior.

Quote:Sheldon Cooper is an irrational, spergy and effete character. I am not. The choice here is not whether to stop taking baths, but to be aware of the actual risks involved, and not be governed by irrational fear. Because irrational fears are tools that are constantly used against us, by governments, and often, through terrorism.

There's nothing irrational about avoiding terrorist hotspots like France. Much of Western Europe has been compromised in the wake of the 2 million+ who've invaded the continent.

Quote:So if you're going to base your tourist travel choices on actual risks, then France, despite having gone through its worst terror period ever, might still be safer than Mexico, Jamaica, Honduras or the Dominican Republic, based on real risks. That was my point, and I could back it up with stats comparing the death rates of tourists visiting those countries. FYI France is the most visited country in the world, with 10% of the global tourist trade and 84 million visitors annually.

Past performance is no indication of future results. Any scientist could tell you that.

The facts of the matter are actually quite simple why you are much safer in South America than much of Western Europe near Muslims right now.

In South America, if you travel to government protected tourist zones, basically nothing is going to happen to you. And if anyone tries to pull any shit, like stealing your stuff, they're going to get killed by police and no one is going to give a fuck about it.

Exhibit A:

All the action is in the first two minutes. Dude tries to rob a moped user, an undercover cop happens to be nearby and blows him away. The man takes his bike back and speeds off. Cops get back into their vehicle and life continues as normal.

So sure, there is lots of violence in South America but at least it's predictable. Stay near cops and government officials, and you'll be safe.

Compare this to any place in Western Europe with lots of Muslims. If a Muslim robs you, you're out of luck. Cops won't even pull out a gun, if they have a gun. And if you defend yourself against a Muslim, you'll be the one facing jail time and not the attacker. Political correctness has rendered most police forces in places like France totally inept, so there is no actual safety there. It's all an illusion designed to control law abiding citizens. Even when they do apprehend Muslim criminals, they just release them with a slap on the wrist.

Only an autist could think conditions are better in Western Europe than South America right now. You think stats are going to protect you? How foolish can you get, it's obvious by the time the stats show Europe to be worse than South America (and it will) thousands of people are going to be dead. Then the stats will "confirm" and suddenly it's "scientifically" known that Europe is more dangerous.

Go ahead, be part of those stats. It's obvious you have no inkling of how the scientific method works, and your ego exceeds your competence, all too typical of those who get a degree in a science related field without ever learning how the scientific method works.

Not to mention, there isn't any way to "scientifically" predict human behavior, hence why there are things like psychologists and economists. These guys try to approximate human behavior since no one can understand humans directly.

Thus, it's obvious that a huge part of Islam has declared War on the world, and being next to any large Muslim population is extremely dangerous.

Where you can find heavy Muslim populations in Western Europe:

- Airports
- Museums
- Parks
- Capital cities
- Subways

Good luck avoiding Muslims in Western Europe!

Here's where Muslims exist in South America:

- Nowhere.

Why didn't the windshield glass on the truck shatter? I know it's safety glass, but it should've been spiderwebbed with that many rounds in it. How tough is truck windshields these days?

Windshields are laminated glass and plastic, they're designed to stay together. Windshields are incredibly tough compared to the rest of the windows in a vehicle.

Edit - Practical test of what it's like shooting through a windshield with a pistol (submachinegun would be the same):

Standard rifle rounds can deflect significantly passing through a windshield as well, and it's apparently pretty unpredictable.

So many lies from MSM, deconstructed below:

The terrorist was not a French citizen, he was Tunisian.

He was not just "involved in a street-violence incident"... "involved" Dodgy, sure: actually, he broke the skull of a French citizen with a baseball bat, one month ago. His victim (J. B. Ximenes) survived, and is now testifying: the terrorist did 0 day in jail for his attack (murder attempt), got a 6-month suspended sentence, was not deported to his original country... The SJW judge who let him go deserves to be put on trial for complicity with 84 murders!!

http://twitter.com/FrDesouche/status/753...44/photo/1

Also, even though the government (refusing to man up) tries to deny it, it looks like the terrorist was indeed on a terror watch list!:

From LeFigaro:

Quote: I frequently hear people saying "CIA created <insert name>", which isn't true.

I wasn't one of them. For one thing I try to avoid simplistic concepts for a complex world. I did post an amateur documentary regarding "the covert origins of ISIS", but it doesn't specifically say who "created" them, only some evidence of who is helping them, which is probably ranks among the worst-kept secrets on the planet.

My understanding is that "al Qaeda" was originally a CIA database of existing groups that were tracked for possibly use.

Wikipedia (for what it's worth):

Quote:Former British Foreign Secretary Robin Cook wrote that the word al-Qaeda should be translated as "the database", and originally referred to the computer file of the thousands of mujahideen militants who were recruited and trained with CIA help to defeat the Russians.[103] In April 2002, the group assumed the name Qa'idat al-Jihad, which means "the base of Jihad". According to Diaa Rashwan, this was "apparently as a result of the merger of the overseas branch of Egypt's al-Jihad (Egyptian Islamist Jihad, or EIJ) group, led by Ayman al-Zawahiri, with the groups Bin Laden brought under his control after his return to Afghanistan in the mid-1990s."

I assume that the British foreign secretary would know, and that if he were going to lie, he would do so in a way more supportive of the dominant narrative.

To me these sound like partnerships that are often of a temporary nature, often with a certain amount of back-stabbing. I would also guess that the groups themselves have their own objectives, which are not exactly the same as those of their sponsors, and if anything, a mere subset of a bigger scheme.

RE: 80+ killed in Bastille Day terrorist attack in Nice, France
This is still a war France can win, provided she uses the correct strategy and truly takes the gloves off. They need to realize that this fight has been fought by other countries before. Not exactly the same, but fairly close.

I'm thinking of Algeria's war against Islamist terror in the 1990s, and Sri Lanka's war against the Tamil Tigers from the 1980s to the mid-2000s.

France will have to take the gloves off completely, but if ever a situation merited it, it is now.

1. Tell the public that public liberty varies inversely with the external threat a society faces. In other words, if your country is facing a serious threat, all talk of "liberties" or "privileges" must end. Police and military must have the power to make arbitrary arrests and detentions.

2. Conduct mass sweeps and detentions to round up any and all terror suspects. Use Corsica or Elba as deportation colonies or internment camps.

3. Bring back the death penalty and use it when needed.

4. Vastly expand the intelligence networks. A relentless public information campaign must be undertaken to portray the left as the Fifth Columnists that they are. Terrorist apologists, defeatists, pacifists, and social corruptors of all types must be purged from all positions of responsibility and imprisoned if necessary.

5. The president should call for 100,000 (minimum) volunteers to join the armed forces specifically to fight.

6. The national culture has to change dramatically. Masculine virtue needs to undergo a renaissance. Feminism, SJWs, and all of that chickenshit poison must be thrown in the trash bin. The country has to stop waging war on masculinity and men, and realize that national weakness is the result when you neglect the masculine virtues. Traditional culture, along with religion, needs to make a dramatic revival. The only way to confront an enemy ideology is to present an alternative to it.

7. France needs to free herself from all entangling foreign treaties and "alliances" that constrict her freedom of movement. That means going it alone if necessary, and not worrying about what the US or Germany will think.

I know they'll never do these things, but at least we can hope for something along these lines.

If this attack (along with Orlando, the one in Cali, Paris x2...along with sex crimes in Rotherham, Cologne, Swedish festivals etc) doesn't make people wake up - nothing will. It's going to have to get a whole lot worse to start getting better. My FB feed is still full of either ignorant Kardashian kind of stuff, or 'hold hands and love' rubbish.

Le Pen will most likely win, I think Trump will win too...but regressives are actually a bigger problem than Islamists. What will it take for them to see sense? I honestly don't know. Times are certainly going to be interesting, that's for sure. On a side note, I just want to say that the level of intellectual debate that happens here is amazing. Compare this forum to any mainstream site (ones that think we're stupid, 'sexist' etc)...I think outside observers would be alarmed at the intellect.

Part of the reason this is a good board is that you get to read other men's perspectives that you don't see in many sites. Those perspectives are based on experience and expertise, I'm just bringing my $0.02 here, as someone with a technical background who knows that area very well. No need to get personal bro.

Nothing personal, my man. The beauty of this forum is that there are such a number of smart, experienced men of varied backgrounds and educations here to contribute to the common good. I treasure that. I just know the difference (in this context) between your world and the real one, where frightened herds of sheep run to and fro every day.

You speak of theory. I speak of how the sheep actually react. Huge difference. It would be so nice to only operate according to scientific theory, but we actually operate in the real world...where perception is king. Our enemies know that, and capitalize on that. A huge part of this war is and will be based on perception.

I do appreciate your perspective, and I agree with it to a major extent. But I don't let that color how the sheep actually behave. I respect your disagreement with me, and thats fine.

You're far more likely to die vacationing in Mexico, Honduras or the Dominican than in France. Don't cancel or alter any vacation plans in France and the french Riviera on behalf of some shithead muslim dude.

You're smoking crack if you believe that.

Sorry for being a rational man, I can't help it, it's part of my STEM background. My risk assessments are based on science, not on some kind of irrational fear.

Yeah, tell that to my friend's father whose best friend died at the Bataclan. Head shot. Dead instantly.

Then he was, in some ways, the lucky one!

For today, we learned that the government hid the fact that most victims at the Bataclan were tortured, their eyes gouged, emasculated, or stabbed in the genitals for women! All this broadcast live for ISIS supporters

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2016/07/15/...ctims.html

"The chief police witness in Parliament said that an investigating officer, tears streaming down his face, rushed out of the Bataclan and vomited in front of him just after seeing the disfigured bodies.

According to this testimony, Wahhabist killers apparently gouged out eyes, castrated victims, and shoved their testicles in their mouths. They may also have disemboweled some poor souls. Women were stabbed in the genitals – and the torture was, victims told police, filmed for Daesh or Islamic State propaganda. For that reason, medics did not release the bodies of torture victims to the families, investigators said."

Apparently, no one in the world qualifies as a "real Muslim"!

Noone is really a muslim if they do bad things but islam is the fastest growing religion ! Muslim like feminism is the ultimate no true scotsman belief system.

Just to expand on your point a bit this is similar to most of southeast asia as well. SEA is pretty safe for the most part. Go to a place surrounded by a dense population of muslims and the safety issues go way up.

If you just examined country statistics for southeast asian nations with a segregated muslim population you would (falsely) come to the conclusion that the entire country was safe.

However if someone were to hang out in the majority muslim part of southern Philippines or the very south of Thailand their risk factor for murder, robbery, or random violence goes way up.

There are also muslim majority countries like Malaysia and Indonesia that are what I call "deceptively" safe. They are safe until some culture war breaks out and an imam stirs up religious hysteria then they are quick to turn on their non muslim citizens and tourists raping, burning, looting and murdering.

There's not a damn thing the police can do in those areas either.

If I had a daughter i'd also prefer that she head off to someplace with a police presence and isn't known for rapes being covered up.

They won't. We all know why. It's sad to say that, but I can see clearly.

I still have faith in France, Lee. I can just feel it. The tidal wave of rage is coming, and those who caused all these problems will face justice.

Don't give up! The resistance has just begun.
