RE: The Syria conflict thread
Award winning journalist, Robert Fisk of the London based Independent newspaper says that there was no gas attack.

https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/syr...07726.html

Quote:There’s even a friendly doctor in a green coat who, when I track him down in the very same clinic, cheerfully tells me that the “gas” videotape which horrified the world – despite all the doubters – is perfectly genuine.

War stories, however, have a habit of growing darker. For the same 58-year old senior Syrian doctor then adds something profoundly uncomfortable: the patients, he says, were overcome not by gas but by oxygen starvation in the rubbish-filled tunnels and basements in which they lived, on a night of wind and heavy shelling that stirred up a dust storm.

RE: The Syria conflict thread
On Fisk:

"Hugh Pope, a former Independent colleague of Fisk’s, recently published a memoir of his three decades of reporting in the Middle East, Dining with al Qaeda. When they were both covering the Iraqi Kurd refugee crisis in 1991, he writes, Fisk reported that Turkish troops were on a “rampage of looting”, stealing refugees’ “blankets, sheets and food”, and that British forces “cocked their weapons in a confrontation with the Turkish troops”.

For his book, Pope telephoned Fisk’s main named source, a British military doctor. He also spoke to a senior British diplomat who had run the relief operation in Turkey in 1991. “Both flatly denied there was anything near a clash and thought the charges of theft and tensions were sensationalised.” In a later account of the “clash”, Pope writes, Fisk “meticulously describes a flight to the refugee camp in the crew bay of an Apache helicopter. The trouble is, Apaches have no crew bay.”

When Pope’s book came out Ian Black, diplomatic editor of the Guardian, drily noted that he was “not the first journalist to wonder with envy and irritation how Fisk ‘managed to get an amazing sounding story from a dull day’”. Meanwhile the leading Egyptian blogger Issandr El Amrani noted that “if you hang around journalists with several decades of Middle East experience, particularly ones who were in Beirut in the 1980s, you keep hearing these stories again and again about Fisk”.

Indeed you do. “It has been common knowledge for years among British and American reporters that Bob can just make things up or lift others’ work without attribution and embellish it,” writes Jamie Dettmer, another former Middle East correspondent, in his review of Pope’s book. “I recall him doing it to me on a story in Kuwait about the killings of Palestinians at the hands of Kuwaitis following the liberation of the emirate. I remember also the time Fisk filed a datelined Cairo story about a riot there when he was in fact at the time in Cyprus.”

"A certain Guardian photographer who would not describe as a friend to imperialism regaled me with stories about how snappers hated to work with him because the desk wanted to know why they hadn’t got any pictures of the amazing, heart-rending colour Fisk inserted into his copy. Answer.’ Because I did n’t see them, and I was with him the entire day from when we got up and had breakfast to when we got back to the hotel at night. Apart from when he was in the toilet, I suppose the massacre could have happened there."

I wouldn't believe any revelations - about 'genuine' videos or anything else - from Robert Fisk.

No reason to believe in Fisk.

This guy is different and corroborates the stories told by Syrian Twitter users.
In addition it makes perfect sense in terms of what is happening in Syria.

Also it makes the scenes shown more logical.

In real chemical attack, then your water-bath and spray won't help jack shit. Also the kids would long be dead, the last affected would be young men - women and kids would all be dead.

If Assad had attacked the area which would be an insane step, then there would not be some idiotic scenes at a hospital - the streets would look like this:

It's really no surprise that the globalists are winning everywhere. People cannot even think for one second - show the fuckers a crying child and tell them any bullshit and they are willing to bomb someone far away from them - or to open borders towards more orcs.

Fisk is legit. He speaks Arabic and has lived/worked in the ME for decades. I'm not discount the guy because of some he said/she said bullshit . Plus The Great War for Civilization is a great read and goes into lengthy detail about how and why the ME is so messed up.

Anyway, here is his speech yesterday in Parliament.

Watch after 4:00 where he flails May and calls out her hypocricy over Saudi Arabia massacring Yemeni civilians using British weapons.

But hey! he's just a "commie piece of shit", right.

Is there a reading comprehension issue here?

Yes, he is a commie piece of shit.

Yes, he is anti-war. Like I said -- correct on one issue.

There are plenty of other anti-war public figures whose domestic policies wouldn't visit economic war on their own citizens.

You seem to believe Corbyn is the only anti-war politician who ever lived.

Wealth inequality in the UK has skyrocketed under the Tories https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...isse-crash

Anyway back to Syria, it turns out that the Douma boy like the boy in Aleppo was a hoax.

https://www.rt.com/news/424563-douma-boy...cal-video/

Quote:The boy portrayed as a ‘victim’ in a video of the alleged chemical attack in Douma has told a Russian TV crew that he was asked to go to hospital, where people “grabbed” him and started “pouring water” over his head.
Panic, fear, screaming adults and frightened children featured in the purported footage of the aftermath following the alleged chemical attack in the Eastern Ghouta city. The video has been circulated by mainstream media since April 7 after being posted by the so-called Douma Revolution group.

Batka - we don't disagree with you on Syria and that it was a hoax is more than likely.

But communism is not the answer - if you want to learn about real change, then check out interest-free economics - it cuts to the real issue:

https://realcurrencies.wordpress.com/201...-ant-farm/ on Marxism

https://realcurrencies.wordpress.com/int...economics/ - better description of real change - no usury, strong unions, strong borders, equal taxation of everyone with no write-offs and elaborate schemes to minimize taxes for the super-rich.

And back to Syria:

Everyone owes money to each other, there are many structural problems in the world economy but the international credit system isn't as bad as people say.

I don't think real currencies is a credible website with headlines like this

Well I think mainstream economists/historians got this one correct. They have hundreds of descendants , its the Soroi and the facebergs who are the modern money masters i'm afraid.

There's less of a need for usury/interest in a pre industrial heavily agrarian based society. Usury happens with lax regulation ,not due to the money itself. Interest (or debt as a form of accounting) is needed for price signaling. This is an issue of regulation and industry more than the currency, I'm not opposed to monetary reform ,just don't want to go full larp

No - there is no reason whatsoever for usury when it comes to money creation by a country. We can disagree on private banking, but certainly not on state-created money.

Also - usury is x-times more effective in pre-industrial times. You should study history and find out why the king of England ousted the Jews the first time. They simply took control of large parts of the country within a very short time - it was less some kind of agitation against the British. The king simply could not control their power-grab by usury. It's actually less powerful in our times.

I agree ,but charging interest or creating debt isn't necessarily usury. I agree bankers make very stupid and risky decisions. There are too many conspiracies, for example people often point out the federal reserve system is privately own, the federal reserve system is also the lender of last resort and members banks should be (they are not) much much more EFFECTIVELY regulated, completely private banking is not the current reality, the independence of the fed from the us federal government is only nominal.

It's also extremely hard to regulate industry effectively without some input from industry run lobbying. The revolving door can never be completely solved ,but it can be mitigated.

The Fed is privately owned. The regional banks which own the Fed are in turn owned by funds and private parties that have their shares pooled into funds. Thus the Fed is privately controlled. And usury of the state trickles down into all costs. Margeret Kennedy did calculations across multiple countries - usury adds roughly 40% of all prices - mainly if you add the two main points - state financing by usury financing and self-used real estate. Both items should have zero interest rates on it - check out Woergl 1930s, Canada 1920s-1960s (no usury then), also JAK-banks in Sweden offering close to zero interest rate self-used real estate credit.

But this is the Syria thread and off-topic here.

There is no evidence that nuclear weapons have been used in Syria. The video on Twitter (if it is authentic) is what an exploding weapons depot would look like if it was hit with a conventional weapon.

Not coincidentally, the claim being made is that an Iranian weapons depot was attacked.

What is most despicable is when Zionists are fake conservatives in the West who cannot even support Donald Trump, are all for mass immigration, but are all super-hawk when it comes to Israel.

There are rumors and some vids posted by Syriangirl that both the US as well as Israel targeted far more weaponry in Syria - lots of anti-aircraft defensive capabilities were attacked.

They won't stop until Assad is gone and the moderate rebels are selling black slaves again in Damascus.
