When the hardcore commies like GM Butts start jumping ship there must be some real toxic dirt coming up.

Butts is a cancer, I'm glad he's gone. He completely wrecked Ontario under McGuinty-Wynne and did the same federally under Justine Castro.

Anybody see the smug look on Jody Wilson-what’s her names face in recent appearances? Fucking beautiful that Trudeau might get screwed by a woman, after he was so eager to boost women in government.

RE: The Canada Political Thread
There’s a lot of queers in Canadian politics, on all sides of the political spectrum. Apparently Jason Kenny likes little boys, I’ll probably still vote for him though, fuckin pederast: https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.vice.com...-gay-mafia

That’s the state of Alberta provincial politics, I either vote for Notley, who is born and bred Albertan from a political family but she is a big government socialist. Then we have Jason Kenny, an upper Canadian protestant who converted to Catholicism and apparently embraced the diddling little boys part, and moved to Alberta, kinda like Harper I guess.

I don’t know-I’m pro-oil, pro-business, etc but these Tory fucks are weirdos, these born again evangelical Ontario transplants where the fuck do we get these lame ass fucks from? No wonder young people don’t vote Tory, these guys are the people who get wedgies in school. Do you think Jason Kenny was cool at school? Haha nope, once a dork always a dork, now with these rumours of him liking little boys, who the fuck does a guy vote for?

God damned them all, I was told we'd cruise the seas for American gold, we'd fire no guns-shed no tears, now I'm a broken man on a Halifax pier, the last of Barrett's privateers!

What's the local view on the Alberta Party? Are they going to grab a bunch of votes from former Wildrose Party supporters that won't vote for the UCP?

TLDR: Wildlife officers told to stand down in regards to the Quebec gun registry because they have no way to verify if a gun is registered in the bush.

Rough Google translation:
Quote:No verification of registration in the Arms Register

Posted on February 20, 2019 at 12h21 | Updated at 1:28 pm

MARTIN CROTEAU
Press

(QUEBEC) Wildlife protection officers have been ordered not to check whether hunters have registered their rifles in the Quebec gun registry. A situation for which the Legault government blames the previous Liberal government.

Since January 30, all firearms owners must have registered them on the registry. But this approach has been largely boycotted: about three quarters of the weapons in circulation in Quebec have still not been registered.

The Minister of Public Security, Geneviève Guilbault, said in the past rely on the police to impose fines on recalcitrant owners.

However, reveals an "operational directive" distributed to wildlife protection officers, "no legal action must be taken by officers with respect to section 9 of the Firearms Registration Act".

Clearly, this means that no one checks whether the hunters who roam the forests have actually registered their rifles.

Mme Guilbault blames the government Couillard.

"This law was badly put together," she said. It was the Liberals who passed this law and we realize that things were not tied up, heard between our two departments. "

The minister has identified two causes of the imbroglio. First, there is no administrative agreement between his department and the one overseeing the wildlife officers. There is also "a problem on the means", namely that the agents do not have the technical equipment and the connection to the internet that would allow them to carry out verifications.

Geneviève Guilbault and her colleague in charge of wildlife, Pierre Dufour, say floor on a solution. But they are not committed to ensuring that wildlife protection officers get the power to distribute tickets.

"I can not give you today a specific timetable in terms of days or hours, said M me Guilbault. We are looking at the situation, assessing the extent of the problem and what are the best solutions to solve this problem so that everyone can apply the powers devolved to them. "

The Liberal Party pointed out that it was the Legault government, not Philippe Couillard, who ordered the wildlife protection officers not to sanction the owners of recalcitrant weapons.

"Basically, they are told that the firearms registry is not important," said MP Saul Polo. This directive from the Minister of Forests, Wildlife and Parks is very surprising. "

Wildlife officers already control the validity of hunting licenses for those they encounter in the forest. Using their cell phones, they can consult a database, or contact the SOS Poaching Center, operated by the Ministry of Wildlife.

The president of the Union of Quebec Wildlife Officers, Martin Perreault, believes that the control of registrations in the register of weapons would require additional hires. Moreover, he is lukewarm to the idea that his members are responsible for this new task.

"It can be a source of conflict in the woods," Perreault said in an interview. We do not go to the woods to scare the hunters."

I don't know much about the Alberta Party or any other non main-stream party in Alberta, I'd say it's either UCP or NDP or nothing, I will likely vote for the former but I'm not a fan of the leader. One thing I find about living in the Priairies and dealing with these red neck types is that I don't really like them that much (I don't have Albertan friends, for example) but I'm ok with their poliitics of pro-business, low taxes, fewer regulations, etc. I'll take a red neck over some SJW weirdo fruit cake who wants to "phase out" the oil sands and teach our kids that being a tranny is normal.

He's a liberal elitist homo who had nannies clean his room and daddy bail him out of every mistake. Resigning means accountability. He will have to get thrown out, and hopefully the Chretien/Martin brigade still has enough testosterone left to do the right thing.

Justin's lack of real world experience is showing. Zero managerial skills.

That famous embrace between him and JWR was idiotic behaviour for a male boss working with a female subordinate, in any workplace.

Behaving like that, in such a high stakes role, with a woman that he would inevitably have to ask to eat a shit sandwich for him was reckless.

How could Justin lay down the law when the situation called for it after having been so weak and cuddly at the start of their working relationship? It's no surprise JWR wouldn't play ball.

Zero appreciation or understanding of the office politics that normal Canadian men deal with every day at their corporate jobs.

Oh well. Live by identity politics, die by identity politics.

RE: The Canada Political Thread
Does anyone know why we only keep bringing immigrants from only 2 sources? Every immigrant seems to be from either China or India and the stats also seem to show this too. I'm not saying Indian or Chinese immigrants are bad but just bringing immigrants from only 2 sources at huge numbers have very lasting consequences. First we are really creating huge enclaves in Toronto and Vancouver regions. I feel like I'm in India when I drive through some cities. These enclaves result in people not assimilating at all and make other people feel like outsiders. Since they get such large populations without the slightest mixture it destroys the multiculturalism this government likes to promote when there is only one predominate culture. Second this negatively affects the smaller minorities. Many smaller minorities feel overwhelmed being in these cities since they don't feel like they immigrated to Canada but to China or India instead. Heck all the school flyers come translated in Mandarin or Hindi now. Finally these large populations of one minority allow them practice nepotism freely. Your careers prospects are greatly affected if you do not belong to any of these 2 minorities since they will hire their own. I'm not saying to even reduce immigration but let’s bring more people from Latin America, Africa or Europe. This stupid immigration just allows rich Chinese to come or "skilled" Indian migrants (I do not know what skill these Indian ladies posses when they all end up working at Timmies). We need to diversify the immigration pool.

The immigration system in Canada is actually a lot better than it might seem. There are 3 ethnicities that make up a large % of immigration, Filipinos, Indian and Chinese.

The Filipinos come mainly as low skilled workers or caretakers under LMIA work permits. LMIA is a labor market impact assessment that an employer must file to the government showing the effort they put into hiring Canadians but failing to do so. The process takes a few months and needs to be quite detailed.

Indians come in droves as students hoping to convert to permanent residents after graduating and working in Canada for a bit. It seems that the entire country is trying to leave for greener pastures. Before the USA was a top destination but now theyre all scared of big ol' Trump lol. Plus converting to PR after studying is difficult there. The skilled workers have an oppurtunity to come directly as PR but the main criteria nowadays require an advanced level of English, which only the top 10% of Indians might have..If the English requirement were any lower, Indian immigration would shoot to the moon.

Chinese also come as students, plus there is that contingency that come as investors and businessmen, albiet small. What limits Chinese immigration is their low level of English.

Now back to your question of why isnt there more diversity in immigration. It stems to the craze people have in coming to Canada. There are literally visa consultants on every block in India, catering mainly to Canada and Australia.

I doubt that craze exists in Europe and Latin America. It is picking up in Africa, but there are other factors involved there.

Now if people in France want to leave for greener pastures, away from Macron's army, its very possible, as language scores would not be an issue.

Another Cabinet member jumps ship...

They are privy to the real deal and raw within thier cabinet meetings and general PMO workings, if you have rats running away then you know the fumes are toxic.

Trudeau is too smug to resign. My bet is he stays on until the election, and if he gets a win he willl then step aside for the party to pick a new leader.

It's probably best that he doesn't resign. My bet is that Freeland would become PM until the election. Knowing Canadians she would win on a platform of being a woman and "standing up" to Trump.

^That would be racist!

Wow, Freeland is the kind of goof that could make you actually miss Trudeau.

Why was Dion canned? Freeland replaced him. Not neocon enough? He might be the best of the bunch to take over, beta warts and all.

RE: The Canada Political Thread
Thought this might be worth posting here, just as an illustration of how the rest of Quebec differs from the greater Montreal area, and all its Liberal-voting urbanites.

Les Soeurs Boulay are a musical duo: their latest music video shows them (shock, horror!) on a deer hunt on Ile d'Anticosti. The video is accompanied by a web page explaining that they are seeking to make a more direct connection between themselves and the meat on their table; that hunting is a way of life and primary source of food for many people outside urban areas, and they are taking responsibility for making it happen vs just buying a styrofoam-packed steak from the supermarket.

Of course there is a predictable amount of 'REEEEE' in the comments on the video, which is to be expected. It's not my kind of music, but it's not a bad song; as far as I can tell the lyrics have nothing to do with the hunting video.

Anyway, I thought this interesting since I never imagined a video like this would be made, in Quebec of all places. 'Backlash' is maybe too strong a term, but it could be a sign that normal people have had enough of the latest gun-control attempt here in La Belle Province. So props to Les Soeurs Boulay for putting this out there, no doubt aware of the risk they were taking (financially, artistically etc). In a place like QC, this is edgy.

The web page: Nous Apres Nous

There’s a lot of oil on that island, if they wanted more backlash they should’ve featured a drilling rig in the video. The chef in Toronto who butchered a deer at his restaurant in full view of vegan protestors in Toronto last year was pretty funny too. Fuck vegetarians and anti-hunting activists!

I had never heard Butts speak before today. Extremely effeminate. Weak man.

Hard to believe he was the brains of the whole operation. No wonder they've lost all control over this scandal.
