Make hay while the sun shines is a simplistic and almost stupid sounding idiom- but it is very basically correct and more relevant than ever.
I remember some idiotic comment way back in the thread mocking the importance of how T makes men feel, deriding men for “needing someone to make you feel good”. The fact is, that gift is inarguably the most important of T’s many gifts to us all. More than that, these types of energies in general are what America as a whole runs on and keeps us going, in what can objectively be an unforgiving place in some ways.
You certainly can have - and I have had - successes under all circumstances. Under Bush, under Barry Zero, even under the oppression my god damned condo association. And, you can feel content regardless of those things, as I have. But, finding yourself in the shower chuckling out loud thinking about one of T’s dozens of hilarious trolls - something I have done many times - that is more than priceless. As much as T’s mere existence is no doubt aging and killing the most terrible people, it is equally - or even more so - making me healthier, happier and wealthier.
With the economy the best it has been in a very long time- if you have been wanting to change jobs, start that business, make that move to your paradise, or simply buckle down put away some more cash…. what are you waiting for?
The time to be making hay is now. A yuge, beautiful orange sun is beaming brightly from the very top. Get out there and drink in its rays, because it’s not going to shine forever— but, if you do your part, it might shine just long enough to make all the difference for you.
This idiot just might, and I mean, JUST MIGHT have ruined his presidential bid....
Well if we can get rid of the illegals voting perhaps.
So with the biggest white male threats from the Dem party, Swalwell and Beto are the biggest threats for 2020. Both are far leftist clowns, but these kinds of statements might be what we needed to get the Amish and other Pennsylvania types to break their religious traditions and go vote. Them and the Mennonites refuse to give up their guns. That was the big reason why Hillary could not win that state in 2016. The ads the Republicans ran plus her admitting that she would reinstate the Assault Gun Ban, was the straw that broke the camel's back.
We got a ways until 2020 so all these things need to be collected and remembered when the time comes or memes and political ads.
I'm starting to get the extremely disconcerting sense that about the only thing Trump has power over is that Twitter account.
There's this creeping dread that he called up the Pentagon months ago and said "this is your commander in chief, mobilize the troops to the southern border" and all he could hear on the other end of the line was raucous laughter.
If he really is powerless then it's his pride that will be his downfall. The Americans that mattered had his back from day one. If he told them the truth then they would have backed him and taken care of business. Even just that ten percent of hardliners would have been all it took. He had only to say "I have reached the highest office to find my hands are tied, it's all a charade, it's up to the rest of you now".
Capitalized BIG CON? Sometimes I get the feeling that he's a prisoner in a gilded cage trying to get messages out past the warden.

It is amazing what a stern letter from the Clinton Cabal can make these establishment hacks do...
Whatever happened to Trumps "space force"? Anyone remember that? We were gonna militarize space or something. I guess that's a dud now. Two weeks ago Trump wanted to put an end to birthright citizenship. Now hes got dudes believing he's gonna tackle false rape kangaroo courts on college campuses. This guy is really good at riling up his base and then leaving them holding their cocks.
Our biggest fear is that Trump's election, and for that matter any future presidency, will have no impact. That the elites have already won, and present America is a big lie.
While Trump has accomplished a tremendous amount, I think what his base wants the most is to see a clear and visual indication that Trump is actually in charge and isn't just a hamstrung figurehead.
The way I see it, there are basically two main ways we want this to be accomplished:
First, the wall must be built. The effectiveness of the wall can be debated, but honestly that's not the reason people care. The wall being built says clearly that Trump made a stand against illegal immigration and WON against the deep state or elites or whomever. Without the wall, any slowdowns in illegal immigration are likely to be temporary, whereas the wall is a permanent landmark that signifies victory instead of just more talk and then on to the next (pointless) election cycle. The wall is a giant middle finger from Trump & Trumps's base to signify that Trump is actually in charge, the president actually has power, and things are different this time. A lot of us are a little scared that Trump can't really do anything. Building the wall would alleviate this.
Further, a lot of us feel that there exists two separate classes of people, the common man (us) and the elites. This leads to the second solution:
Throw some motherfuckers in jail.
I realize the process is complicated and you can't 'just' throw people in jail, but we've been waiting 2 years now, listening to how the deep state are crooks, how the Clinton Foundation is a giant money laundering scheme, watch the media push endless lies about Russia, etc., but nothing visible has happened to the elites Trump is fighting. It's frustrating.
Who gets put in jail? Criminals of course, but also regular people over stupid stuff like missed alimony payments. The idea is that it's really easy for regular people to go to jail, but once you have some power no one can touch you. This is why so many of us cheered during the 2016 debates when Trump dropped the "because you'd be in jail," line on Hillary.* It struck a chord because, and especially after the 2008 financial crisis, we've been shown that the elites have no accountability and it's the average guy who is stuck cleaning up their mess and picking up the pieces.
Anyway, I love Trump and always remember he's doing this out of love on a $1 salary at the age of 72, but we're 2 years in now and if no clear cut & easy to see victories are won, the malaise will start to set in and a lot of Trump's base may lose faith in the democratic process. We have some of the most Trump loving people on this forum, and even here we are starting to wonder if anything impactful will happen or if Trump is just as trapped by the 'system.'
We don't expect Trump to completely turn America around, but we want to see some lasting damage to the Left's agenda + crooks in power.

The left fully intends to make the USA into Venezuela. They will descend into the mud and want to drag all the rest of us with them. Excuse me -- they are already in the mud, trying to pull us down. In a plague, the first problem is that sick people actively seek out and infect the healthy. The healthy either run, or shoot the sick dead and bury them quickly.
This, the essence of all leftism.
Trump and his supporters were a lucky break but they can and are being worn down. Leftists have infinite capacity to spew bullshit and it takes 10X more time to refute bullshit than to spew it.
What's the ultimate result? I still contend that the US is heading for a religious dictatorship. I don't know about AUS or CAN, those are their own cultures, but the US in times of chaos always regresses back to it's original genetic form: a puritan dictatorship. This has happened several times in our history, not quite as dramatically, but it did happen. Those rivers run deep in our national soul. Time: about 10 years from now. Probably Pence as leadership. Jointly run by Mormons and Evangelical Christians, with a healthy smattering of conservative catholics and muslims. Despite what many of you think, it will *not* be a good time for men, it will be just more SJW bullshit but now on the right wing and with mean white christian women. But it will at least allow men to be men again.
Maybe we'll luck out and the Democrats will use the next 2 years in stupid ways and will be crushed in the 2020 elections, but that's a slim hope.
Personally I'm trying to save enough money to protect my family.

Plot twist: it'll be a Puritan dictatorship with no religion driving the puritans. If you think the Christian religion holds any sway in US government decisions anymore I have a few Supreme Court decisions and the presence of Muslim, transgender, and openly bisexual Congressmen to show you. In particular I have the utter failure of the anti-pornography movement to show you. Americans believe in no God but themselves now, or at least a God who conveniently holds precisely the same positions they do on everything.
The America of this post-economic collapse will feel a lot like the Gilead of Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale that so many women secretly flick their clits over, but instead of old or white men in power, it'll be the young women of today grown old. It will be some moveable feast of Liberty For All and Equality For All (unless you're white) where the rules change every few weeks depending on who's having their period or who didn't get fucked in the ass proper last night.
Look at the dysfunction of Venezuela, Mexico, Honduras et. al. That's your majority demographic in 30 years time. And because only Europeans seem able to leave their cultural shit behind when they immigrate to America, that's the way your countries will look: IQ-90 masses with an even tinier elite who live well and ride the waves of ignorant, ill-informed popular discontent like a surfer.
The big problem for Trump is that he has failed miserably when it comes to cleaning out the swamp and thus his hands are effectively tied behind his back. The fact that he hasn't managed to get any movement against Clinton, who is blatantly guilty, pretty much sums it up unfortunately.
Unless he can change that he's basically going to keep saying the right things but having the opposite happen, basically the status quo will be maintained by those who truly control the government.

Quote:WASHINGTON — Miriam Adelson is a doctor, philanthropist and humanitarian, but is perhaps best known as the wife of Sheldon Adelson, a Las Vegas casino magnate considered one of the nation's most powerful Republican donors. She gets to add a new title Friday when President Donald Trump honors her with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Think of how many career politicians he's effectively retired just by favoring another candidate.
what about all of those gov't employees that up and quit after Trump was elected? They drained themselves.
Did you think it was going to happen overnight?
The reason people will say "oh Trump hasn't done anything about the Swamp" is because the Swamp is also the system, not just the people. It's partisanship, grandstanding, collusion between departments, etc. You don't just snap your fingers and make it go away. Trumpism has to seep into the very foundations of our being first.
Trump is not a dictator. So for the swamp to be drained it will take time. I'm going to leave grading his presidency until after 2020. If he wins and has the senate and maybe house then things can happen. When you have 9th circuit judges stopping your exec orders etc it is constant speed bumps for things to happen.
He has to build the wall and lock the white collar criminals up. However i really think he's playing the political game. He will wait till just before the election to break ground on the wall.
I actually agree with Gmac. Trump has to work within the constraints of the existing bureaucracy and therefore, as of right now, there is very little he can accomplish. That being said, he is a political version of a big baller troll. He has talked a big game as far as what he would do while probably knowing that he'd do very little of it. That makes him unreliable, to say the least. He needs to shut the fuck up a little. The people don't give a fuck about "record unemployment numbers" and how high the Dow Jones is while there is an opioid epidemic and an immigration onslaught.
Trump is giving his 100% and he is president. But it is becoming apparent that he is a figure head with no power. If this is the truth, then it is useful for the Eddies of the world to see it. Then they have the choice to take action.
It is revealing to contrast the media's treatment of Khashoggi vs. Assange.
The media goes 100% active over the alleged "Khashoggi assasination" causing the crown prince of Saudi Arabia to put on trial a few men for death, to placate the mob. But, no that is not enough. The CIA now comes out with a report that the Saudi crown prince was directly involved. For being such a great "journalist", try finding anything that Khashoggi has ever written. It's all gone. You can't see what a leftist he was, or his support of the Muslim brotherhood.
And for Assange? Totally ignored. That's correct. The one person in the world who can claim to be a real journalist is 100% ignored.
It is easy to see who was a contributing member of the deep state and who isn't. Khashoggi was one of the rats. The fake news media protect their own.
So, Assange is being indited by the Federal Government under Trump. Will Trump now also do the bidding of the deep state and turn against the Saudi prince? If the deep state hates him, he is probably a good guy. The only clear information we get anymore from the fake news, is who our enemies hate.

We seem to disagree on various issues but on this one we see eye to eye. If I get another White House email touting economic growth stats I'm going to hurl. Take some fucking action against the systematic suppression of free speech online (and offline) and build the damn wall. Stop playing nice and just force it though. You're already being demonized in 99% of the MSM so what the fuck do you have to lose? Your base is going to love you for it and the libtards will despise you the same.
Trump has finally shown himself to be simply the ultimate Boomer. He thinks it's all about TV and showing the the dems are the real racists. It's going to be brutal folks. In the next few decades. Might head down to Tasmania with Leonard. Could do a LOT worse.
Some people are concerned about detail, the fulfillment of various items. And yet...
Trump's tweets are the most significant thing that's happened to the Western press in 200 years. And they're made all the more significant because he's the leader of the free world. Note how the European press was controlled by Jews throughout the 1800's (something that Richard Wagner talked about repeatedly in his autobiography) as well as the 1900's (something Henry Ford elucidated in detail). And the Jewish control of the press has driven the Western world into a slow downward spiral: i.e. numerous wars, the destruction of the nuclear family, continual class warfare, etc. This reality is obvious to those who dare to take notice.
The (((press))) knows this - if, perhaps, only a subconscious level. That's the impetus for Trump Derangement Syndrome. He's taken their microphone away and, subsequently, their ability to distort the truth. That's not some small feat...again, it's the most significant press event in the last 200 years.
All of these Presidential "promises" are small by comparison. And that's because any victory that Trump wins (i.e. a wall, conviction of Clinton, etc.) can easily be forgotten or misrepresented in a fresh news cycle. The press can quickly make people forget that Trump was even responsible for them! So they're experts at using confusion to change history. Control through chaos. Trump could build a wall tomorrow and the press would try to convince people that it's a figment of their imagination. Only his Twitter account could rectify that matter.
Winning the Overton Window is paramount. We really have nothing without that. The objectives realities of life have been distorted for so long, that only a truthful dedication to them can lead people out of an abyss. Outside of Trump, I don't see any American politician that has the courage to make this push (outside of his son perhaps).
Trump gave one of the adelsons a whitehouse post? Lol that’s worse than Obama’s picks.
Trumps remaining presidency will be mostly impotent now that the dems have the house. The next elections are are going to favor the dems by large margins.
I highly suggest people postpone spending on experiences now and just focus on money. The economy is strong and will be for a while. I recently went back to full time while keeping biz on the side. Trying to squeeze this bubble as much as possible then liquidate in the next 2-3 years.

And what of those people with evidence against them?
Those lemmings who jumped ship or were pushed were just that, lemmings. The real meat of the system remains and the US is no China with a Xi in charge of getting graft charges brought against his predecessors yes men and sending them off to prisons, work camps or execution squads.
It is 2019 in less than 2 months and soon enough the next candidates for 2020 will be starting their campaigns and getting in the media and Trump will be facing globalist candidates on both sides who now have a lot of ammo against him.
Time is running out to convince people to stay the course and not get demoralised. People are fickle and we have seen how easy the Dems can come back like a reanimated corpse regardless of what they and their lackeys have done.
If he spends the next 2 years trying to rid the system of these people he is going to need a lot of help to do it.

Ya'll pretty fatalistic. Shame, really.
So, blowing dodge is the answer? I can't believe the amount of "the sky is falling" syndrome we have around here.
