The cheapest plans on the market have ridiculous deductibles (like $5K annually.) AFAIC, they should be outlawed as they're tantamount to fraud. If you've got a $5K annual deductible, you're paying a premium for insurance coverage you don't really have. Since the vast majority of people don't accumulate $5K in annual medical expenses, they wind up paying for the insurance, AND they still have to pay out of pocket for their healthcare. A voucher system would just give free money to the big private healthcare companies and the people who receive those vouchers would still be going to the emergency room for routine care because they'd still have no coverage.

When Trump gives answers like he has, he's basically saying that he does actually support a single payer system. But he can't say it because too many Republicans are terrified that more persons of color may get another government benefit at their expense.

Most of the developed world has single payer healthcare for everyone. And most of the developed world has private heath insurance as well. The US is the oddball here. People denounce single payer, but healthcare costs in most of the developed world are a fraction of what they are in the US. I sometimes think people here would take a shit deal and pay more money, if it meant someone else wouldn't "get something for free." Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Obamacare was a make work campaign to boost GDP to mask a failing economy.

There were massive departments staffed with do nothing female paper pushers.

All we need is one pop in the stock market and a real estate downturn to expose the sham recovery. It will come before the November election.

I know conservative republicans personally who think "Medicare for All" is the best option so its not entirely impossible to sell the concept to certain people in the GOP. You could scrap medicaid, most of the VA, and the entirely useless and parasitical health insurance industry in one swoop. It's not a hard sell to certain GOP types because at its heart, its the most cost effective way by a significant margin to cover everyone while avoiding socialized medicine. I would love it for Bernie to get the Democrat nod and in a debate with Trump get blindsided by his proposal to do Bernie's plan (Medicare for All) but cover more, pay doctors better, and do it at a lower cost to taxpayers.

Plaid shirts would be burned in giant piles resembling Nazi book burnings, streets littered with big black rim glasses broken in half, neck beards set on fire, skinny jeans would be washed in non-environmentally friendly detergent manufactured by blood diamond workers.

Hillary Clinton’s ‘Secret Weapon’ Could Escalate Campaign Rhetoric

Quote:A new and more combative phase of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign opens next month when she sends her husband out to stump for her in important early states.

Waiting for him will be businessman Donald Trump, the Republican front-runner.

The former president has been a low-key figure since Mrs. Clinton entered the race for the Democratic nomination in April, offering private advice and helping her raise money at closed-door fundraisers. In January, the campaign intends to showcase him in public forums in Iowa and New Hampshire, two states where the front-runner is locked in a tight race against Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Speaking to supporters recently, Mrs. Clinton described her husband as a “secret weapon.”

Trump vs. the Clintons. This is the game played on the hardest difficulty. The Clintons are easily the most powerful political family in America. Trump has beaten every other stage... and now it's time for the final boss. I'm not 100% sure he can do it, but I do have my money on Trump. Even if he fails, he's come so far and done so much for getting the Truth out that his campaign still has enormous value.

Regardless, this is the political fight of the century; the entire fate of the free world will be decided by its outcome. If you care about Western Civ, make sure you do all you can to hurt the Clintons.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't see Trump losing the suit for a more casual look on the campaign trail. I think it goes to show that it's important to dress for the job you want. Trying to look like an average Joe when you want to be POTUS is a losing strategy.

Anything that Jeb does at this point screams 'cuck'. He's the exact opposite of what I strive to be. Awful posture, low confidence, soft-voiced, pushover, awkward, and has a fat wife.

But perhaps the biggest insult is that above it all, he's filthy rich yet this is what his life is. Has a whale for a wife and dirt-low popularity for votes.

He should be RVF's poster child for why we do what we do. "...To not end up like him."

Jeb is an interesting example of how people's characters are significantly influenced by the genetic lottery. Compare him to his brother, who has some alpha qualities. They shared the same parents and the same upbringing, yet they evolved into two completely different men character-wise.

I wouldn't worry too much about the Clinton machine.

I think this is the first election cycle a lot of people are realizing that Bill Clinton wasn't that great. Clinton gets a lot of undeserved credit for the booming economy of the 90s and for years benefited from the good feelings associated with the time period. Having Bush 2 (a fuck-up politically speaking) as the follow-up contrast cemented those feelings.

But there is pretty clear evidence now in hindsight that a lot of problems the US faced in the 2000s and even today are because of Clinton's action or inaction.

1. NAFTA - Killed tons of jobs. Trump is going to crush him on this alone.

2. Repealing Glass-Steagall - Contributed to financial crisis and the whole Too Big to Fail deal.

3. Allowed Islamic extremism to go unchecked with people like Bid Laden.

In 2008, EVERYONE thought Hillary had the election in the bag and the Clinton machine was formidable. But then people saw how sloppy her campaign was actually run and had to see her obnoxious smug personality everyday on TV and people said fuck this shit when given a decent alternative. And this was AFTER 8 years of Bush 2 when nostalgia for the Clinton era was at its highest and she STILL lost to a relative newcomer. A lot of that nostalgia is gone now and its painfully clear today that a democrat in the white house isn't the cure all for the nation's problems.

Also, I'm not convinced Bill wants to be first gentleman or whatever. Man is a player and has been since the beginning and will be to the end. Right now, he gets to fuck around on the side with little scrutiny. But if he becomes first gentleman, the media is going to be like a hawk on him again. He WOULD take it if he got to be President again but to be First Bitch? I doubt it.

I bet too he knows Hillary would divorce him as a big fuck you for Monica and all the side action over the years if she got elected. Hillary is no different from other women and is just as hypergamous but instead of wanting the kids and house and then cashing out, she wants the presidency. I mean, think of the narrative: Hillary suffers in silence for years, kicks Bill to the curb after getting power, and reveals publicly that she likes women and starts dating a woman instead. It's a modern liberal feminists wet dream.

Two things that would stop Hillary from doing that is that Bill probably has dirt on her and Bill is Hillary's social conduit. The only reason she has ANY friends is because of Bill and his likable personality and she knows she will lose a lot of valuable contacts if she kicks Bill out. She can't afford to lose those contacts prior to being elected but she might be embolden enough to kick Bill out after being elected. Who knows... maybe there is an agreement that once she is elected, Bill is free to leave (he did his job - got her elected) and be single again. This is all just speculation.

Anyhow, the Clinton threat is way overblown. She lives in a glass house where most of the media constantly protects her. Trump has proven he can disarm the media and make them his bitch so Clinton is very much fucked when the Trump train come into town.

If Hillary was likeable - I'm be concerned.

If Hillary had real convictions - I'd be concerned

if Hillary had a real narrative of success (as oppose to riding Bill's coattails) - I'd be concerned.

If Hillary was seen as anti-establishment (wheres instead in reality she is the establishment) - I'd be concerned.

But she has none of those things and NEVER will. Trump has all four.

The real threat I think is Sanders if he gets the nomination. A LOT of liberals like him because he has a lot of the aforementioned qualities that Clinton doesn't have. Almost all my liberal contacts have zero enthusiasm for Clinton but get massive boners for Sanders and I've even heard rumblings about how they rather vote for Trump over Clinton if given the choice. Or at the very least, just not vote at all. And that's with Trump being demonized hardcore in the media right now as this ultra right wing guy.

I recently had to talk with a Clinton supporter and once I explained some of Trump's attitudes and policies (very practical and moderate positions), they were very surprise that Trump advocated such positions. The GOP brand is like poison to some people and if Trump can re-brand the GOP (like I did with this person), he can get some additional swing votes. Trump will get his chance later on during election cycle when more people start paying attention.

Once Trump shows that he is quite moderate on most issues (which he is), this shit is over.

Did anyone see this posted on Donald Trump's facebook?

http://politics.blog.ajc.com/2015/12/26/...rgia-farm/

"It happened in 1986, in the midst of the worst farm crisis since the Great Depression. In Burke County, on Georgia’s eastern border, farm after farm was folding.

On Feb. 4, Lenard Dozier Hill III, a third-generation occupant of his cotton-and-soybean acreage, was about to have his land sold out from under him. ”That morning, it was going to be auctioned off at the courthouse steps, so he committed suicide,” said Betsy Sharp, his daughter.

In the bedroom of the Hill home, along with the .22-caliber rifle that did the work, was a neat stack of life insurance policies and other papers on the nightstand. Hill had intended for the life insurance payout to cover most of his $300,000 debt and so save the family farm for another generation.

It was a grievous miscalculation. Most, if not all, life insurance policies include a clause that prohibits payment in cases of suicide. “He didn’t realize all that,” Sharp said.

Hill’s desperate act struck a chord. Reporters and TV crews descended on the Waynesboro church where the funeral was held. Vandals painted “farmer killer” on the door of the local bank."

"Trump told the Atlanta businessman that his wife, Ivana, had seen the report on the Hill family’s plight on the network news, and she suggested that he get involved. The magnate summoned Argenbright and the Hills to New York. After a brief interview, Trump signed onto the cause.

Accounts of what followed differ. In his book “The Art of the Deal,” Trump wrote that, in a phone call, he twisted the arm of a vice president of the Georgia bank that held the Hill mortgage.

“I said to the guy, ‘You listen to me. If you do foreclose, I’ll bring a lawsuit for murder against you and your bank, on the grounds that you harassed Mrs. Hill’s husband to his death.’ All of a sudden, the banker sounded very nervous and said he’d get right back to me. Sometimes it pays to be a little wild,” Trump wrote."

"Trump provided $20,000 to stave off foreclosure of the Hill farm, but his name was initially kept out of the picture. During a press conference on the courthouse steps in Waynesboro announcing the delay, Argenbright said he spoke only of support from “a New York developer.”

But Trump’s identity was easily and quickly guessed. The billionaire and the Georgia farm wife made the rounds of the morning TV shows. Viewers were asked to send their dollars to the “Annabel Hill Fund, Trump Towers, New York, 10022.”

Money poured in, but Trump and a Texas oilman — a real one, this time — provided the last $78,000. A “mortgage-burning” ceremony was scheduled for two days before Christmas. The Hill family was again flown to New York, at Trump’s expense."

Mr. Trump has at least 5 aces up his sleeve when it comes to the criminal Hitlery:

http://www.mediaite.com/tv/giuliani-hill...nt-crimes/

Giuliani: Hillary Clinton Should Be Under Investigation For Five Different Crimes
by Alex Griswold | 8:37 am, July 29th, 2015

Former Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani said that if he was still a U.S. Attorney, he’d have former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton under investigation for five different crimes.

“I believe she should be under investigation by the United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York for obstruction of justice, for destroying government property,” he said on CNN’s New Day. “I think its clear that she had a conflict of interest, her husband getting hundreds of millions of dollars, she’s making decisions about companies and about corporations that he’s getting money from. I think they filed a joint tax return.”

“I’d have her under investigation for about five different crimes,” he continued. “I think it’s outrageous that the Justice Department is not moving forward with this. General Pertraeus, a lot of other people have gone to jail…”

That said, Giuliani said he would’ve have shown leniency towards David Petraeus after the former general was found guilty of moving classified government documents off site. “Hillary Clinton, there are five acts we are talking about. Petraeus gave away one or two little things. She destroyed a drive with 34,000 e-mails on it.”

Mr. Trump is on a first name basis with Rudy - who golfs with him on occasion. I am positive Trump is keeping these aces up his sleeve for when he really needs them after the primaries and GOP convention..

Medicare for all would basically bankrupt healthcare providers. You realize that medicare payments to doctors in most cases barely cover the overhead of running a practice? We still have a first world healthcare system because of private insurance. Private insurance that reimburses fairly for services rendered allows our healthcare infrastructure to remain first rate and attracts first rate people into the field so that your doctor is not an extra from Idiocracy.

People with Medicare and Medicaid basically leech from this system, in that the amount of money that those programs pay healthcare providers would never be enough to sustain the current level of care were it not for private insurance bolstering the system. In other words, hospitals and doctors treat medicare/aid patients because it's the price they have to pay to be in business and see privately insured patients, which is what actually pays the bills.

Remove private insurance from the picture and go to a government based single payer system that pays doctors 3rd world rates and what will you get? A third world level of care. There is no free lunch. You can't have first rate care for third rate prices, anymore than you can stay at a 5 star hotel for $29.99 a night.

You'll have something like Britain's NHS which does employ a lot of incompetent 3rd world staff and provides 3rd rate service.

A bit of a side note, but my opinion is that the solution to rising healthcare costs in the USA is pretty simple:

End the corn subsidy.

Ending the corn subsidy would throttle the supply of high fructose corn syrup into the American food supply.

High fructose corn syrup causes obesity, high cholesterol, hypertension and diabetes. (this video goes into some good detail regarding the dangers of fructose: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBnniua6-oM )

With the fall in supply of fructose, there would be less of those diseases.

With less of those disease, there would be fewer sick people and less demand for healthcare.

This would force healthcare providers to start competing with one another for patients and this would cause prices to drop.

Everyone wins except corn farmers and hospital administrators.

It's a solution so simple I doubt anyone would implement it, though, especially since rent-seeking elements such as farmers and hospitals would fight it.

Alternatively, simply make High Fructose Corn Syrup illegal as a food additive.

There are so many rats in the Republican party I have lost count. I hope Trump destroys the Republican party.

Not a smart move by Haley. She overrates her vagina. When Hilary fails, she'll perhaps get a better sense of where the ground is shifting to.

The worst part being: this is all that they, all that any party's really got warming up in the bullpen. There's no Kennedy-esque figures, no one with great or outstanding integrity. All the Republicans can bring forward is a cuck in blackface and a dress. The most inspiring figure in politics is a guy who is not a politician. Think about that for a second, and the future of the US with that in mind.

This is just unreal. After watching Republicans turn against Trump, I now really do believe the people who long claimed the parties were both owned by the 1 percent and controlled.

There is no other explanation for why such people have a supposed "death wish" when it comes to their own victory. Who doesn't get behind a winner on their own team? Someone who is being paid by someone other than the "team."

On the plus side, at least conservative commentators are calling out people like Haley now. According to that CNN story, both Laura Ingraham and Ann Coulter gave her crap on Twitter.

Nothing else. Nothing notable. And that the only change he effected, as John T Reed once said, is an alteration of the colour of the skin of the man in the Oval Office for eight years.

He will be noted for passing Obamacare, probably the single worst bill in the history of the country. And then staunchly defending it, despite the growing number of Americans, over 60%, who want it reworked.

He will be noted for bragging about handing over Libya, Egypt, and maybe eventually Syria, to terrorists.

He will be noted for bragging about flooding Europe with rapefugees.

He will be noted for just handing Wall Street bankers a trillion dollars and then prosecuting none of them, all the while his Attorney General said their biggest concern is returning war veterans causing terrorist attacks.

He will be noted for 7 years of no income growth for the average American but a 14%+ increase in the COL. The average American today works longer hours for less money than when he came in.

And it now looks like he will be noted as the guy who killed liberalism for a generation, much like Jimmy Carter.

You forgot that he left the country much more racially divided than when he came in. And that blacks are doing economically worse as well.
