^ Those numbers are better than you describe. Most of Cruz's supporters will go Trump if Cruz leaves the race. The only establishment candidate left is Rubio, who is a joke and would probably lose to Cruz.

^ If that's true then it would make the most sense for Trump to pick Cruz as VP, as Cruz would likely bring those voters who are turned off by Trump's brashness.

Stop using media catchphrases. There are very few republican voters who are "turned off" by Trump. Those are the guys who vote Jeb.

Instead, most of Cruz's supporters (I have met quite a few) are actually more of the well-informed voters, who believe Cruz has more experience and capability to get things done in Washington.

They're wrong, of course, and Cruz is easily just another puppet, but that's what most of Cruz's supporters are thinking at this time. Don't worry. Trump is going to expose the big money pulling the strings behind every candidate and smear the living fuck out of them. Trump has such a major advantage going into this election as his own backer, it's not even funny.

If you view the poll here, you can clearly see that Trump's supporters mostly come from Independents.

This is why Trump will easily take the primary and has a strong chance of taking Presidency. Whoever gets the independent vote ALWAYS wins. People who don't understand this are rather stupid.

Or he could solidify his one weakness with General (Retired) Mattis since he'll get the Cruz vote anyways. General Mattis and Trump even share quotes, like “I don’t lose any sleep at night over the potential for failure. I cannot even spell the word.”

Remember that the Bush family machine are behind Jeb with huge establishment money in anonymous superpacs...

The Bush family machine are no pushovers - they painted john McCain as unsuitable to be President because McCain was driven insane in the North Vietnam Hanoi Hilton POW prisons.

I am a Trump voter and Trump needs to cover his flanks now as Jeb is desperate and desperate men do desperate things...

I started out as a Ron and Rand Paul guy - they tell the truth and they make sense however they can't fight the GOP establishment and win on a national stage simply because the Establishment media systematically destroy them.

So why don't the same tactics work to destroy Trump?

Simply because we Trump supporters all know he is a TRUE PATRIOT who wants to leave the USA a strong and better safer and more prosperous place for his legacy to his own family - he is willing to take on the establishments pet trade agreements where they and their Wall Street Global Corporation Multi national interests have sold the USA and the average American down the "free trade" river.

Real Patriots many of us who have taken the oath, will vote for Trump if it is the last thing we are allowed to do as "Free" Americans.

Trump has the right combination of personality and balls to say what he says on TV and not back down.

Dare I say it, if grandpa Ron got all fired up, started shouting on live, and demanded a wall be built and limit immigration from certain muslim countries you can damn be sure that the TV cameras would be all over him.

The only problem is, he doesn't have enough money to stand on his own. His supporters would disappear and he'd have to pay out of his own pocket for any campaigns. This what will sustain Trump's presidency.

Trump sounds like a bored billionaire with cash to burn. What better way to do something than to run for presidency with your own cash.

Because the conformist, worm's-eye-point-of-view robots who control the media are proclaiming Jeb somehow did well during the last debate.

These reporters, editors, and newspaper owners are in bed one way or the other with the mainstream candidates and --as in decades past -- are doing anything to keep outsiders out. That includes the way they're championing Hillary over Sanders.

I hate to give the New York Times a link, but here is the latest product of their imaginations. It's titled "Jeb Bush, Sensing Momentum After Debate, Zeroes In on Donald Trump." What "momentum?" Going from 1 percent to 1.0000000000000001 percent?

Anyway, this article was probably the impetus for Trump's tweets and I don't blame him.

Richard Spencer's interview with RT regarding the meltdown of U.S. media about Putin-Trump comments about each other in the last couple of days. Good read

https://www.rt.com/op-edge/326438-trump-...a-comment/

Quote:The Western media spin about Putin ‘endorsing’ Donald Trump is an attempt to slam both of them with one blow, says Richard B. Spencer, editor and founder of Radix journal.
READ MORE: Putin says ‘talented’ Trump is ‘absolute front-runner,’ welcomes pledge to work with Russia

RT: Why did the American media become so excited about Putin's remarks on Donald Trump?

Richard B. Spencer: I know it is very unusual for the American media to be hysterical and shrill; they are usually so calm and collected and rational. In all seriousness, Trump has been this force that I think the mainstream media doesn’t feel like it can really control. And so they are attacking him by basically saying that Putin “endorsed” Donald Trump. He didn’t really endorse him. He said some diplomatic things about Donald Trump, not endorse him. And again the American media has been demonizing Vladimir Putin, in particular, and really Russia, in general, as a country and as a society for quite some time, at least five years probably going on a decade. So, this was a kind of twofer for the American media. They could slam Trump, who they don’t trust, they don’t feel he’s the force they can control and they could also slam Putin and Russia.

RT: Why is so much attention being paid to relations between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump?

RS: I think that Putin and Trump in a way offer an alternative to what’s going on at the moment. They offer an alternative what you call neo-conservative or neoliberal foreign policy. I would stress that Vladimir Putin didn’t endorse Donald Trump. But I would say that Vladimir Putin probably sees Donald Trump as a positive phenomenon in a sense that the way different world leaders interact, really they interact through foreign policy. Donald Trump does not seem to be an ideological person, someone who would want to spread democracy, to overthrow dictators, spread the American truth, justice and American way to the world, particularly the Muslim world. He doesn’t seem to operate on this ideological basis. He seems to operate on the idea of “there’re other powers, we are going to have to get along with them, we are going to have to deal with them.” I think Trump would probably be sympathetic, I actually know he would be sympathetic because he is set so exclusively towards many of Putin’s and Russia’s actions against ISIS. I don’t think Trump exclusively says that he does not want to simply overthrow Assad in Syria as some gesture towards the wonderful nest of democracy. Trump would be - whatever you might think about Trump, you think he is bombastic, he is vulgar, I get it, he is kind of this - but if you actually look at his statements carefully, I think he would be a much more realistic actor in foreign affairs. And I think he would be a much more peaceful actor in foreign affairs. Believe it or not.

RT: Putin praised Trump's desire to "move to a different level of relations, to more solid, deeper relations with Russia.” How can he be criticized for that?

RS: This is another thing where the American media doesn’t really understand Putin. Because Putin is not a shrill ideologue like they are. Putin will speak diplomatically, will speak carefully and they just don’t get that. I think what Putin is saying when he says that Trump might deepen relations is that Trump is not going to treat Russia as an enemy. Remember, Mitt Romney who wasn’t even the craziest of the conservative bunch said that our number one geopolitical adversary is Russia. That is ridiculous. Anyone who would say that is not looking at the world as it is; they are looking at the world through some 1980’s Cold War rosy glasses. Trump, I think, would really deepen the relations in a sense he wouldn’t treat Russia as the Soviet Union or as Nazi Germany or some rogue state. He would treat Russia realistically as a state that has its interests, that has interests that might align with the US in certain situations and I think he would treat that where conflicts would be Trump would make a deal. He would deal with Russia as a real, legitimate actor of a legitimate state. So, in that sense, I truly do hope Trump gets elected. I think the world would be a more peaceful place with this bombastic man in power.

RT: What significance is the media reading into Putin's remarks? Are these fair enough assumptions or are they reading too much into it?

RS: They are not reading his remarks at all. They are basically spinning his remarks ... So; again Putin said some reasonable diplomatic things about Donald Trump. He said things that I don’t anyone could really objectively disagree with…

If we're talking about Jeb, we're not talking about Rubio or Cruz. If we're not talking about Rubio or Cruz, we're not paying attention to Rubio or Cruz. If we're not paying attention to Rubio or Cruz, we're not potentially voting for Rubio or Cruz.

It's a simple way to draw up media attention, nothing more.
Also punching Jeb Bush is a form of entertainment for Trump, I think. The same way you or I might troll a feminist on twitter.

Actually you can. And the superpacs are pissing away money on people who haven't got a chance. Apparently they're still running a kid's table debate before the main event debate. If they've held 4 debates and you're still at the kids table, you need to pack it in, as you're just embarrassing yourself.

I believe the reason why Trump focuses on Jeb, despite Jeb being at the bottom, is because, fundamentally, Trump's huge base all comes from the support Jeb would have had.

In a race without Trump, all the other candidates would have had similar levels of support as as they do now, but with Jeb at the top comfortably polling with something between 25-30% of the voters.

Trump identified Jeb as the biggest threat early on, and shit all over him and that's why Trump's numbers are so huge. By keeping Jeb down, Trump ensures he steals the overwhelming support Jeb would have normally have had. Trump has literally stolen the election from Jeb, and Jeb is extremely bitter because of it.

The fact that guys on here are questioning Trump's tactics and strategy is silly, considering Trump is the man with political game and you are the lackeys who need to learn. Jeb was always the looming frontrunner with 100 million in the bank, so Trump knew to focus his efforts there. With Jeb out of the way, nothing can stop Trump.

Therefore, Trump continues to shit all over Jeb which ensures his voters remain loyal. Trump has wisely understood his popularity comes from independents, who would most likely have just gone with Jeb out of habit had Trump not provided an alternative.

If at first you do not understand Trump, then it is you who needs to learn.

Trump encouraging Bush to stay in the race is an ancient strategy - borrow another's hand to kill - the Bush family has built a $120 Million superpac war chest to support little Bro Jebbie.

Jeb will have to pull support from the others to remain a viable candidate into the convention - these are Carson, Rubio, Cruz and Christie - also deflecting their attention from Trump in the process. Win Trump.

More ancient wisdom - the highest form of Generalship is to conquer your enemies via strategy - thereby saving your treasure and soldiers for the battles that really do matter (The Dems pick Hillary or Bernie)... Trump is a genius at this using twitter as both a scalpel and a baseball bat - every Twitter post of Trump both those giving praise (To Putin etc) and critical tweets become major news events in the voracious 24 hour news cycle... Big Win Trump

Recent estimates are that Trump has spent less than one half million dollars on his campaign ads so far and Bush has burned through more than $30 Million ... Huge Win Trump

"Under this strategy, Mr. Bush plans to make New Hampshire, the first primary state, his second home as the holidays approach, and to spend more than half his time there in the seven weeks before the Feb. 9 primary. He has little hope of prevailing in the more conservative Iowa caucuses on Feb. 1, and his aides believe he must place in the top three in New Hampshire to convince his donors and supporters that his campaign is still viable. That means finishing ahead of, or at least tied with, Mr. Christie, Mr. Rubio and Gov. John Kasich of Ohio."

As of today national GOP polls especially GOP and Independent voters have Trump hovering around 40% and Jebbie around 3%

Including the latest Fox Poll:

POLLSTER DATES POP. TRUMP CRUZ RUBIO CARSON BUSH
FOX NEW! 12/16 - 12/17 402 RV 39 18 11 9 3

http://elections.huffingtonpost.com/poll...op-primary

To which Jeb answered Trump regarding the 40% lead to Jebs 3% - it does not matter Donald - WTF does Rove have in mind a charater assassination of Trump like W authorized on McCain??? That ship has long sailed.

Jeb lost me as a Veteran Patriot when he cried "Illegal Immigration is not a crime it is an act of love!"

Imagine if any man falsely accused of rape said my actions were not a crime they were an act of love!

Judges would throw the book at him...
