If he goes after her for perceived health issues, the media will just frame him as a bully who is picking on a sick, old woman.
That forces the media to admit that she's old and sick.
He can't go full blast on it, but he should absolutely dust off an old LKS and highlight how low energy she is and how unenthusiastic her support is, how she doesn't have the energy to drive her own base (works as a double whammy because it highlights her lack of social proof).
Don't go after it directly, but get his team to do it an highlight it whenever possible. Absolutely try to get her to cough or space out during the debates.
This week was very interesting. I've been saying since the conventions that the race has basically become "the crook vs. the lunatic." In the context of presidential politics the crook will beat the lunatic every time, and that's what we've been seeing.
So naturally, the thing that needed to happen for Trump to win was at least one, but preferably both of the following:
1. Make Hillary something worse than a lunatic.
2. Trump needs to make himself seem like he is definitively, defiantly not a lunatic.
Trump's side worked on both of those things this week, and the gap has narrowed somewhat. He's still behind but those new strategies emerged. He's no longer boxed in, and that's important for him. At the same time Trump was finally talking about bringing everyone together as Americans, visibly and unambiguously, Hillary was losing energy and the questions about her health hit very hard despite the media trying to cover it up.
Few things are scarier than a lunatic with nukes, but the thought of a crook with dementia handling them is arguably one of them.
Trump is still behind, but he's begun the work he needs to do.
If Hillary's side loses the "Trump is a lunatic" fear card, he's running unopposed. With it, they're likely to win. Everything depends on it.
