On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton teed off on Trump as well, calling him "dangerous" and saying that he is "inciting mob violence."

With statements like that, it's like Cruz isn't trying to win.

What I read from these three candidates are lamentations that the base's core concerns are being addressed for once. This is a precise echo of the GOP's actions over the past four decades, and and echo of the establishment's current statements. So much for Cruz being an outsider. He's as much of a gatekeeper as Kasich when the noise is turned down.

The line is being drawn according to whom is willing to adopt the Left's tactics at the same time that the Left is also employing them against their common enemy.

The net effect of this dust-up is that, for once, the political landscape is becoming crystal clear.

Either a candidate unapologetically and unequivocally addresses the concerns of the base or he dismisses them as narrative while still campaigning for their votes, hopefully that are given out of either lack of a better choice or ignorance of his eventual deception in that he will never represent the base's interests.

What surprises me is how the establishment is allowing, now, only the thinnest of veils to cover the fact that the interests of the conservative base are not represented. I know that generally everyone knows this, but it is very close to being outright admitted. It's certainly in the subtext.

Admitting this, either directly or through ham-fisted implication as it is now, is the equivalent of announcing that western democracy is a fraud.

The only liberals that would not be concerned over this would of the totalitarian variety. They know what we are careening toward and are only hoping that they win. Perhaps its time that everyone acknowledges that we are playing a game of musical chairs: the winner to take eventual undemocratic control and the loser's are likely to be punished in a manner consistent with history.

There's a Howard stern (Wrap up Show) interview where they talked with one of the guys who wrote and held up the cards for SNL. He talked about how Trump did SNL and was a temperamental ballbuster and micromanager and was very strict about everything but if you tried and did a good job he was pretty much your friend for life. He was extremely critical but later hired the same guy for multiple jobs down the road because he didn't crack under pressure. Trump is a man that understands work ethic and attitude.

Trump's loyalty to friends and employees is pretty much unquestioned in my opinion. There's a lot of stories out there of him staying true to friends who are even politically and openly opposite from him.

Looking ahead to tonight. Guys, please don't let your expectations get too high. I expect a loss in Ohio -- I would honestly be very surprised if Trump pulls out a win there. I also expect Florida to be closer than the polls indicate, I think Trump will win but it won't be by 15 or 20 points. Illinois and Missouri could end up close, and there is a decent chance that Cruz wins Missouri. Don't be too too disappointed if these things happen. Florida is the absolute key and losing it would be the only real disaster, but I don't think that will happen.
