My girl was saying she thought the girl was at least a part time prepago. She said in part because the girl was talking about trips to Turkey, which now that I think about it was a red flag. Maybe the girl thought you didn't seem like the type who would help her out financially. The situation was definitely odd though; I've never seen anything like it.

To answer your question directly, no. I've never had a girl do that nor have I had a girl bring along guys from her own country. I have had girls bring along girls from her own country, with them asking if it was okay every time. I always agreed for them to bring the girls along and I think it always ended up working in my favor. I'm guessing that you suggested meeting a girl who you never even met in Parque Lleras, which was probably a red flag for her. I can't say enough that going to Parque Lleras to meet girls is a complete waste of time. Going to meet a girl there for the first time might not be much better. If you already know a girl and/or have already banged her, Parque Lleras is perfectly fine. It has a great assortment of restaurants and bars.

That's never happened to me. Where did you find this girl, online? Did anyone talk to the two gringos? Maybe they were her pimps.

The only conclusion I can come up with is that they ran into her on her way to meeting you or she was at their place beforehand. Really strange. Were the gringo guys gay? That would make it more logical.

I disagree with the second part. I love Parque Lleras for first dates since it's so close to my apartment and has so many easy to bounce to bars. In the two weeks I've been back in Medellin I've already banged 6 girls off meet ups there.

I don't doubt you, but that hasn't been my experience. Maybe you can post your specific Parque Lleras strategy. I'm not a Medellin expert, but I have spent a total of three weeks there. I've been on maybe three first dates in Parque Lleras, all with girls who I met through cold approach in a completely different part of Medellin earlier that day. Every venue I have seen in Parque Lleras is a restaurant/bar type place with tables and chairs. Most of the quality girls are with guys. The few girls who are with other girls get pretty suspicious of foreigners in Parque Lleras. As I posted about before, I have had some success there with girls who were with guys, but it's generally not a smart move, especially in Colombia, to approach girls who are with guys.

During the week Parque Lleras is very nice and a great place to have lunch or take advantage of the cheap afternoon drink and food specials, its during the later evening Thursday through Sunday where I don't care for it too much. Its really crowded on weekend nights and it seems like every hostel in Poblado is emptied and the park fills with trashy back packers, then there's the obvious whores hanging out in the park and the less obvious ones hanging out in the bars, throw in some horny gringo dudes approaching every vagina in sight and all together, Parque Lleras just isn't that great to hang out in. Basically, its one of those places that is nice at some hours and shitty during others.

I am in Colombia since 4 of June (1.5 weeks in bogota) and with notch count of 8. Medellin is bad but its good, a mixture of luck, all venue game and longer commitment will do it. The town is definitely not for quantity but for quality.

Stay at an apartment. Some hotels in Medellin may give you a hard time if you bring a girl back.

Yes, Universidad of Antioquia is very far from parque Lleras, unless there's some satellite close by that I'm not aware of. I've looked into Spanish classes (that qualify you for a student visa) at both EAFIT and UPB and they are not cheap: $400 a month minimum. It seems like those are the only two that are accredited to offer the visa; I'm currently looking for a cheaper option.
