Great

Mentality difference. People grow up different ways and experience different ways of playing the game due to their backgrounds. The kind of guys in my experience with lots of women especially from my family and whom I was raised around all got laid from being cold/aloof, minimally talking(unless to shoot a woman's sass down), and had status.

All they cared about was their own appearance and women just came to them. The idea of getting into a woman's head and messing with her emotions are a new concept especially for a guy like me raised in that stoic way(I was taught a woman's emotions, hysterics, or bullshit weren't even to be acknowledged). Even frat boy asshole game was a new concept growing up here in the states.

You can't exactly assume that this is common knowledge across the board.

^ Agree.

I also think it gets back to the article Athlone (now Excelsior) wrote for RoK, "How Black America Has Predicted Our Future." http://www.returnofkings.com/2090/how-bl...our-future

In short, for black guys, if they didn't have Game (which is a term they originated as I recall), they didn't get anything from women.

It's only recently that Game has become that much of a necessity for other races, including mine.

Finally, to be fair, credit goes to some non-black guys for truly formalizing Game. Mystery, Neil Strauss, Roissy, Roosh, Rollo, Yad, etc.

Download notes in Spanish or coffee break Spanish so you can listen to pronunciation. They are both podcasts so you can listen to a few episodes a day without too much hassle.

I haven't been to the DR but been to Bogoto and Mexico. Plenty of cultural stuff to do in DF and a lesser extent Bogota. Side trips are plentiful in DF as well so you won't get bored there. I would pick two cities and spend the weeks there.

Great post though.

This is the kinda thing your good for nothing uncle, who can't hold a job, but always got a girl, would tell you. Type of dude with several baby mamas.

He understands women, and their essential natures.
And he's satisfied. So he thinks, so he deludes himself.

Some of these dudes get all their material needs met by women. Like women, they become dependents, but think that they could do some real shit if they had to.

I can think of more than a few guys who've basically had their lives destroyed by the game.

Read Donald Goines or Chester Himes, and see these too much of this type of thing is bad.

I was perusing YaReally's archive yesterday.

He quotes Tyler, this is a paraphrase

You think being able to have sex whenever you want is going to make you happy

There are two groups that have that, women and gay guys.

Do they all seem happy to you?

In my view, far from it.

The hotter and more privileged a chick happens to be, the more I think that you have a lot of fertile ground to plant seeds in. But you have to break her out of hot girl frame of mind.

I would extend this to having too much money, but I can think of some fairly happy rich people, lol.

One of the bigger lessons of rvf is that man needs more than woman, If he wants to be fulfilled. A hidden one might be that women need to do more than cook and rear children, but that's verboten around these parts.

I feel you on that one, I came of age during that time period myself. People may bitch about BLM and other issues in 2016 but we're living in the Harlem Renaissance compared to then. All you basically heard on the radio was "Money, Cars, and Hoes" and you had little avenue, unlike now with easier Internet access and music streaming devices to access better black music and concert venues. The Telecommunications Act of 1996, which gave the Clear Channel a monopoly over radio broadcasting and television programing, probably had a lot to do with it. I remember popular music in the early 1990s and you could still hear conscious hip hop and black musicians who played instruments (a dying art form in African American mainstream music now) on the radio. Also the thuggery wasn't just limited to music and movies, but to sports with Rasheed Wallace and Allen Iverson and making ice, chains, and doo-rags popular in the NBA before David Stern started making players wear suits on the sidelines. Now the NBA's biggest stars, Steph Curry and LeBron James, are relatively clean cut. I'm not too political, but ever since Obama has been in office, as a poster alluded to earlier, the image of black Americans in popular culture has improved.

Let me know how that goes. I was thinking about taking up Spanish again for business purposes and want to spend six months in South America (preferably Colombia) and get fluent at it. I've been playing around for too long. I'm 30 and will be around 34 when I move there and I keep hearing about how difficult language learning gets when you are older, although I'm not too behind the curve because I started learning it when I was 11 and took it in college too. Plus I have heard that SA isn't the best for reception for brothas. I've been to Central America plenty of times and can vouch that the white god factor is very strong there, not sure if it's the same in South America. On the other hand, the girls in SA may be worth all of the trouble compared to Central American women (who tend to be short and frumpy).

My other option is to start from scratch and to learn Chinese (another language that is good for business). My only thing that I would not use it outside of job purposes, given most of the U.S Chinese population tends to not be fresh off the boat and fairly assimilated. I can still use Spanish even outside of work purposes, and would be useful for trips to the Dominican Republic and Cuba whenever it completely opens up.

Seduction or "game" as we call it is nothing new. We can go back to Ovid's Ars Amatoria or Cassanova's journeys for this concept. What has changed is how it's played and how it works in different cultures.

Just as black guys had their game or white guys their own. For Muslims in the Middle East it's just how many camels/goats you own. There's different tactics in different cultures on how this shit worked with a few common ground principles across the board. So again how the game has changed and what works is the focus here which is where the new concepts begin.

^^^ A muslim's "game" has been you marry your cousin or Abdul sets you up with his daughter.

A white boys "game" has been, my friend Becky likes your friend Brad. Let's go on a double date.
Another common scenario is meeting girls in their social circles, whether it be church, work, school fraternity, summer vacations at the cottage, showing your cars off at the local diner or gaming girls on their boats.
Look at nightclub game, it consists of a bunch of dudes ordering bottle service and getting girls to sit with them vs a black guy who is trying to dodge the $20 cover fee.
Generally their game is displaying some sort of wealth or financial security.

A black guy's game has always been more slick because he didn't have as much access to money. That is how the pimp game started, it was strictly about money and using the tools you have around you (black women but also being able to recruit white women). Like Archie stated, black guys would always talk about what their women bought them. You can even go further and see professional black women supporting black men that don't work, something you rarely see in other cultures.

People don't like to admit this is the reason for alot of things.
Despite many people across the globe hating Americans, being an American is a big plus and many of these foreign chicks would sell their mother's for a chance to visit or live in America.
Being a black American is even a bigger draw, you are the epitome of cool. Due to my accent, most people assumed I was American in my travels. Needing "game" in EE involves showing up in clean clothes and smelling nice. Christ, I wore dirty converse shoes in a night club in Croatia and got IOI's from hot chicks.

Racism exists in every country, do not be fooled and think it does not just because you did not experience it.

Where we fall short as black men, is getting our money right. Everyone understand the power of money, they can hate me all they want but they will respect me.

One of the biggest shortcomings I see in discussions regarding game is the failure to recognize just how big of a role money can play. Your wealth is the most powerful weapon in your arsenal. The older I've gotten and the more I've seen of the real world, the closer I've come to the "Money>Game" perspective. I'm not quite there (game is very important), but money is an incredible tool that one must leverage at every opportunity. Success in this regard (either via accumulating a lot of wealth here or leveraging your western income/status in a place that is much less affluent) can alleviate a lot of the problems we complain about here in the states.

I think that Excelsior is right on the money (no pun intended) and this should be explored in further detail in its relationship to game. Below is my framework in general. Followed by a few initial thoughts in regard to Power, Status, Wealth, and Money that I posted as an essay, which was triggered by your post.

My Big 3 broken into the Little 9:

Looks (Physique, Athleticism, Dress).
Status (Power, Reputation, Wealth).
Game (Charisma, Style, Confidence).

----------

Power, Status, Wealth, and Money.

Wealth Creation occurs when we make something new from a set of inputs and apply our brain and our labor. When we turn untamed land into a garden we create wealth, or when we turn wood into a chair, we create wealth and generate assets. Money can be a form of wealth that is valuable because of its ease of exchange (there is also fungibility, availability, durability). The issue is that often times in our confusion we concentrate on the money to the neglect of those things that actually sustain a good life.

Pathology enters the economic system when money, once convenient as a means of facilitating commerce, comes to define the life purpose of individuals and society. In a healthy economy, money is not the dominant value, nor is it the sole or even dominant medium of exchange. When financial assets and transactions grow faster than growth in the output of real wealth, it is a strong indication of problems and the capital is consumed to create money instead of begin transformed to create wealth. My point is not to get into economics here but to relate it back to wealth and then focus on the axis of power and status. My experience is that the axis of power and status, which are partially based on material wealth, is at the apex of my game. They are the two major dimensions in social hierarchy and that is why I view them as an axis.

Wealth was not my fundamental goal, but I used it to open doors that lead to my freedom in the system in which I (we) have been placed. Wealth serves as a platform that allows/enables me to do, what I want, when I want, how I want and with whom I want without so many distractions. It is the use of my time and energy (directed by my attention) as I chose (will).

The fundamental building blocks of my wealth are health, learning (education) and intelligence (invention and manipulation of symbols, of words, letters, numbers, formulas and concepts based on perception). Money is a side-effect of combining these building blocks with a willful effort to create wealth. Wealth moves from having a large amount of money or possessions to being able to survive and thrive for a defined amount of time in the future.

Status refers to prestige, respect, esteem and rank within a given social setting at a given moment in time. Status is relative and dynamic. A person麓s status depends on the circumstances and on those who are around him. If you are a man of wealth within a group of those not having wealth, you will often have status as you are differentiated. How we differentiate ourselves becomes critical for success (with women and within society). Differences in status can be both real and perceived as well as relative to the other persons frame. Status originates externally and is rooted in the evaluations of others through a status-conferral processes. Generally, we earn status by proving worth or showing value. We are able to influence through respect and based on our contributions. Status, related to the respect one has in the eyes of others, generates expectations for behavior and opportunities for gain or advancement that favor those with a prior status advantage.

Power can be thought of as control over critical resources (to include human capital), which is outcome control. When one removes the desired outcome with a woman for example, part of her power vanishes. A person is said to have power if he influences the behavior of others in accordance with his own intentions. When we have power but no status, we may still exercise authority or control over others, but when we have no power, it is status that helps us be heard or exert control. Power transforms individual psychology such that the powerful think and act in ways that lead to the retention and acquisition of power.

The psychological sequence is something like, I see your power and status; I make inferences about what kind of person you are; and I use those inferences to forecast how you are going to behave in future interactions with me. Understanding this sequence can make the difference for changing the nature of interpersonal interactions. This is part of game.

Game definition #784

Getting pussy just off words.

Every generation faces the same problem.

Attractive women are attracted by things that are hard or impossible to achieve.

Money, things that money buys
Looks that you are either born with,
Fame

So if you're not born looking good, rich, or famous - you're just assed out.

Game says no, you are not assed out. Game says that I can make her feel the way that those things make her feel, because the value of those things are how she feels. Not the thing itself.

Game goes one better. It tells the girl that this thing you have with me is what it is like to me rich, or be with a hot guy - even though it's not even close.

She's never had steak, you make hamburger seem like lobster. When she eventually gets the six pack guy it's not at all what she thought, and realizes she was bamboozled into wanting things that don't make her feel like she thought she would feel.

The "feelings gap" is what motivates a lot of our economy, if you ask me.

IMO, you don't necessarily have to give AF about their feelings. Just eliciting the feelings is good enough.
Moma 路 2016-04-15 12:08:00 路 #1771
I concur with DimeBait on the mastery of elicitation. I'm rolling with a younger Naija here and observing a skillset that he may wittingly or unwittingly be aware of. He tugs the lizards' heads and emotions like some kind of playground. He is one-upping their attention whoring by being extremely flaky. Everyone gets roped in to the dance and the ones who he has interest in get a little more work, more customisation. This is resulting in good maturity of leads and bangs. Some of the guys (myself included) sometimes only focus on lizards we want to poke but we should practise more. Not every punch thrown should be a knockout blow but it should be thrown to gauge distance and work on technique. Flirting with this lizards, double innuendo can be so stimulating for some that it will result in a gush of emotions, sexual yield. Don't let the lizard take you out of your game. Naturally, one has to have the temperament for this, some guys are too stoic to enjoy such types of engagement. I tried it the other day (showed RudeBwoy a pic which accurately coined as peacocking. I didn't even realise this at the time. I was out in African regalia and yelling like some village chief. I was enjoying myself and some lizard sidled over and started playing with my neck and almost 'naked' herself before me.
I'm still experimenting with this and enjoying it quite significantly.

Comparing white guy game and black guy game isn't a fair assessment. You're comparing two very different groups with different standards who play in different fields, so obviously there is going to be major differences in how they game at large.

I don't mean becoming the chick's therapist.

You don't want to subject yourself to her verbal diarrhea and become her emotional tampon.

Example of what I think most of us are talking about

1) You can make a cold read/bold statement about her when the interaction starts.

2) "you look like the type of girl that does.... X.... I've got your #"

3) The typical reaction in the early part is surprise/shock/anger/laughter - but she's not taking you seriously. She's taking your line as a sign that you want to play. You want to flirt. The "dance" as I call it, starts.

Now you run your material
- bold statements
- banter
- back and forth
- humor
- roleplaying
- story telling
- teasing, chastising

She's digging your vibe. She thinks your jokes are funny. After the 3rd joke, she thinks you're funny.

This is like the first 5-15 minutes of a good thing you got going.

So you switch to comfort and rapport.

Comfort - she's comfortable in two ways
1) in feeling your touch, and in touching you. The classic sign that a chick is into you is the punch to the arm.

2) She's comfortable in talking to you like a human being.

Rapport - At the beginning of the interaction, you're talking 90% of the time. As rapport builds, she talks more.

That's when you shift gears.

You might say something like, "I'm feeling your energy right now, but what are you really about. I can sense something behind all the ha ha's"

So that's when you can launch into a story about the time that your sister skinned her knee and you had to put a bandaid on it.

Or what it was like to face fear and over come it.

Your own emotional core comes through what you say - and girls often just follow your lead.

Indeed, my non-drinkers know this, once the fucking lushes talk about how fucked they've gotten - everyone and their sister jumps in the conversation about the "one time I got so fucked up..."

Folks pick the theme and hit the same emotional notes.

Same thing happens when you're one on one with a girl.

So by starting the fire with your feelings, (whatever you like to feel and can turn positive, possibly sexual) - she starts to smolder and then burn herself.

Do you talk about when your dog died? OF COURSE YOU DON'T.
You don't talk about sickness
Don't talk about job loss, or being broke

(maybe you could have a story about being in a job that wasn't right for you, and they fired you, and you found your present calling immediately afterwards - but anything negative has to end positive.)

You don't talk about things that will take her down.

You pick emotions you like to work with.

And she follows your lead.

This is when she's telling your her hopes, fears, and secrets. This is where she stops being an object - some tits in heels in a miniskirt - and becomes a person.

You're no longer running surface game.

You guys have to realize
- there are many styles of game
- there are reasons other than game that get guys laid.

WIA

*Surface game has it's place, don't get me wrong. Life is much easier when she's just along for the ride, and you bang her out, and she basically treats you like a internal masseuse. Repeat business and skill building suffers if you're just Rip Roaring Rakim

Though everyone's experience is different, my second time around, I would choose to settle down with someone that shared similar cultural experiences as me.

A couple of other guys in this thread have already said this so I won't belabor the point, but it is essential to note that for some guys, the people with the most cultural similarity/fit are not always going to be people that look like them.
The key, as others have said, is to find someone who meshes well with you.

As a black male, I find it particularly important to consider two things:
1. People who look like you may not always be the best fit, especially if you are a non-stereotypical black male living in a place like the USA. As I've noted in earlier posts, deviating too far from the expectation black women have of masculinity can leave you in a difficult position when it comes to maintaining relationships with them. If you're in this situation, you need to avoid subscribing to the "black queen"/"keep it black" logic that will often be forced on you. Find your best fit, whatever she looks like.

2. White women are not a panacea and shouldn't be treated as such. Even as a non-stereotypical black male who struggles connecting with black females in a place like the USA, you may find that many white girls come from backgrounds that are no more conducive to a healthy relationship with someone like you. DimeBait did a good job of outlining a situation in which that is the case (though his girl was hispanic) and illustrating the challenges that come with it.
I see a lot of non-stereotypical black men who feel like outsiders in black America respond by putting white women on a pedestal. The white girl is the answer to all of their romantic problems, a lifeline in a turbulent ocean they've navigated so far that has been filled with obstacles stemming from their non-stereotypical ways and disconnect with black culture. They give white girls slack when they don't necessarily deserve it and big them up when it is unnecessary. They effectively turn into simps round white girls, and we all know where that path takes you.

Personally, I know I've got an issue. I'm not nearly black enough for black American women and I have a very tough time connecting with them on a deeper level. We simply tend to live on different wavelengths, largely due to the way I was brought up. I'm just different - too far away from the norm of black masculinity to be consistently attractive to them at this point in my life.

How do I respond to this? Most black men in my position date out, and I'm not gonna be an exception. But I'm also not going to thirst after every non-black woman who appears as though she's some kind of lifeline in a stormy sea. While I might have better odds of positive interaction than I would with a standard black American woman (read: better odds of building rapport, more to talk about, etc), there are still serious challenges that I cannot be blinded too simply because I'm an outsider in black America and I want a "lifeline" to counter the rejection. There are no panaceas. I know that while I'm not black enough for the black women, I'm probably still too black for a lot of non-black women and (more importantly for someone considering a serious relationship with marriage, children, etc) FAR too black for many of their families. No man can afford to ignore these challenges if they want a serious relationship.

TL;DR: Find someone on a wavelength that is similar to yours that will allow you to connect. Don't assume that someone looks just like you, but don't go to the other extreme and assume that person must have some other phenotype (ex: pedestalizing white women as the all-encompassing, definitive "answer" to all problems of the non-stereotypical black male who struggles with black women). Keep an open mind.
I've come to the conclusion that outside a few places West of the Mississippi River, America is the most hostile to non-stereotypical black men. America, and more importantly, "Da Blak Communitah" has chosen the stereotypical thug and dopeboy as the paragon of Black Men. As for me, I consider that the ultimate betrayal to the point that I feel no connection to my so-called race and so-called country. Especially since I was from a "black mecca" where the people could easily set the trend to embrace non-stereotypical black men, but treated those kind of men worse than any white supremacist ever could.

At this point, working to GTFO America would be the fullproof solution, even if it's just Canada. And seeing the migrant crisis and Europe and the resulting rise in anti-minority sentiment, Canada seems to be one of the best options right now. However, as a non-stereotypical black man who moved from the East Coast to the Western US, I will admit that there is a notable decline in racism and hatred for non-ghetto black men. But I'm afraid that due to current events, the resilient ghetto subculture, and precarious environment in America, I can see a time in the foreseeable future when black Americans specifically will be treated like Jews in Nazi Germany. And unlike back then, the provocateurs will have a boatload of "justifiable" reasons to "take their country back".

@azulsombra From my observations, the rigid standards of black men haven't really changed. It's just got more lenient for dopeboys and thugs to be homothugs and swagfags, but the core image is still the same: act like an anti-intelligent, ebonics-speaking, rap video dressing, stereotypical goon. Now I will admit that there are your Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell, and Common types who can be masculine and stylish without looking and acting like complete stereotypes that didn't have dads in their lives. But the urban-lite masculinity image has never been my personal style neither. I think a part of it has to do with being forced to grow up in the Thug Worship Era of the late 90s and entire 2000s. Those images are something that will be burned in my memories and has turned me off to almost all derivatives of modern day black culture. And for anyone who says "get over your childhood", my response to you is "get over Jim Crow and Slavery", aka shit you never experienced.

They are out there...and most of them are dating white and other non-black men from the get-go.

I feel what you are saying...it sounds like we are basically from the same era and the same part of the country. Yes, the dumb ass goon culture still exists and is too common but it is largely AA women, yes even college types, that seek out that culture. This is one of the main reason I typically limit contact with AA women. Non-black women (doesn't just mean white), seem to embrace alternatives to hood brothas more in my experience, especially if they project success or potential success.

Im glad that you did admit that their are now acceptable alternatives to the ratchet culture that women find attractive, Kendricks, Common, Yeezy, types etc. It may not seem like a lot of progress but it was much worse before and definitely better out West. Not to make this about you in particular but you said you can't embrace the mature slightly urban still of someone like Common. Im curious to what your style is? Is it very business like, high quality suits and such?
I tend to diversify it with my style. While I'm in a suit and tie during work hours, the closest style that I would fit into during my free time is a dudebro/surfer/MMA image. Despite the branching of style black men have endeavored, my style isn't one of them. White that was a deathnail back East, my style is more embraced in the Western US.
