I'm in Warsaw right now. I came here in 2012 too and as far as I remembered, it was nice. I just got here few days ago now and this city is ran by Indians and Arabs. There are a lot of Arabs and Indians as far as I see. It wasn't like that couple years ago.

Just living in the big cities you'll quickly realize that most girls come from said villages. There's no value in wasting your time in a place where all the young people have left because there's no jobs or decent universities.

I'll be in Krakow for a month starting in late September (right when the school year begins) staying in the Stare Miasto, really hope it's worth it.

A lot of italians themselves look like indians or arabs, so why the big complain ..they probably there doing the same you want to do.

A few words on Baltic coast. Nightlife a lot better than Krakow, was fun and generally attitude of girls is a lot better, not much overrun by foreigners. But usual Polish attitudes are the same in the end, flakes, "I don't know you" lines, cockblocking by female friends, dumb and histrionic behaviors. If you are good looking and with a solid game you are going to have hard time here to achieve good results compared to nearest countries and West. At least here it was different than going in klubs being surrounded by horny foreigners, good sensations under this point of view!

I may be true about Krakow whereas I spend the last weekend with some friends in Wroclaw and had a blast (including one good pull)

If you are working here long term, how tough is it getting into social circles of the locals without knowing Polish? How is social circle game, if any of you tried it?

I refer to 2nd tier cities cities like Gdansk and that area.

I have read that Polish people are pretty uptight to strangers. What have been your experiences?

@Hazaer: it is arduous since the mentality is quite close and generally despite a "polite" behavior they don't like foreigners; back in US or England it was a lot easier make friends or find someone to organize a barbecue for example. I am anyway sure that it is a bit easier in a small city when sooner or later you get to know people, and instead considerably difficult in cities like Warsaw or Krakow. Your best bet is with your work collegues but you should be lucky to find people in your age, not married, etc.

The workplace makes a big difference. When I first moved to Poland I was part of a young team, we would regularly meet after work for drinks, house parties, weddings, week-end trips to the mountains etc. Most people had just finished university. Nowadays I work almost exclusively from home as the vibe in the office is completely different.

In general Polish people open up after a few shots. If you don't drink alcohol I can see it as an obstacle to make friends
They're also much more direct and less cliquish. For me that's a huge difference from the West where people are superficial as fuck. They will smile in your face while talking behind your back.

@pointer, Good to hear they are not cliquish. I am assuming its relative to western countries like the USA or Australia. What about the language barrier in 2nd tier cities? I am referring to a university type environment here.

But I also read that bureaucracy and customer service can be rude to foreigners. Is that your experience?

How are the guys in terms of being red pill/competition to foreigners? What i read on the forum describes polish guys as 'nice' and sometimes nerdy but hardworking for the most part. Are the girls open to foreigners in terms of medium to long term relationships?

@giacomo Casanova, I am curious you mentioned England, I have heard the English are polite but reserved too. So it seems that its still easier for an english speaking foreigner to integrate better into friend circles in england than in Poland. Northern England is one place I am considering in addition to Polish 2nd tier cities.

Bureaucracy can be a nightmare but your university/company should help you with that. Otherwise just ask around, I've always had help from locals when dealing with bureaucracy.
Customer service is decent, I never had bad experiences but this can vary. When I went to a private clinic to have some dental work done I had much better service than in Canada for example.

University students generally speak English. In second tier cities as long as you are a bit of an extrovert and have no trouble approaching and introducing yourself you shouldn't have any problems. If you are more reserved it can be difficult as Polish people can be shy when meeting strangers.
The girls are definitely open to relationships. I would say that the majority of girls you will date have a 90% chance of developing into a relationship should you choose so. However, nowadays unless the girl is specifically into foreigners, I feel that your value will be lower than a local, especially if you don't speak Polish. Your game will have to be much better than say 4-5 years ago but you can still do very well if you put time and effort. The local guys have trouble approaching and usually rely on their social circle. Failing that they use online dating a lot. They are seen as more stable prospects and the hottest Polish girls are always hand in hand with Polish guys.

@Phoenix: thing is that in the nearest countries (CR and UA) being a foreigner from a wealthy (not third world) country is an advantage while in Poland is a disadvantage and you have to overcome that with various strategies that might make you really wondering about the mental health of many girls and why they prefer a needy, ugly and poor guy over a foreigner who is making his "homework". Poland under this point of view is terrible, luckily there are also foreign girls here in Erasmus or working, this is kind of fresh air in the desert.

The issue is: you want to get regular 8+ chicks then it starts to be as hard as back home with the language barrier being another handicap.

Went to Krakow for a weekend last october. Frantic at 1 AM was terrible.

The Clubs I went to were:
Coco, Shakers, Frantic and Teatro Cubano. Coco being the worst tourist sausage fest and Teatro being quite good

If I remember well you live in Trojmiasto.
I was there lately and it is true that is different, you don't have that many thirsty tourists and attitude of girls is better. It reminds me of the "old times" in Krakow where you were smiling when entering in a club. Maybe you have right and I should start differentiate the various part of the country. Also Warsawian girls have a more international and open mentality. West (Poznan/Wroclaw) is bad even if gritty. South east is the most difficult due to the religious mentality.
I speak Polish quite well, this is not the issue. In Krakow to get nowadays a 7 is very very arduous. More than in West.

For tomorrow I suggest you can try Frantic, it is one of the few places which is not too infested by horny foreigners with homeless look, but game is required and girls do look how people dress. "I am from Spain" lines don't help a lot there.

If Poland is so bad why don't you leave? At least to another city? If getting a 7 in PL is harder than in the west that's a pretty bold statement to make. Are you sure it's not your own personal bad experiences clouding your opinion of an entire country?

It could be as Phoenix pointed out certain things apply universally wherever you go. If it's really that bad for you, maybe a different destination would be a better fit. Some guys do well in the same places where other guys fall flat on their faces, and vice versa, there are so many factors involved.

Maybe it is just the memory of these years that makes difficult to change a city that has given me so much after I moved sacrificing all comfort and a good and quiet life in West. Krakow of few years ago will never come back, I will never enter again in a club on Thursday night at 11.30pm with 30 girls and 5 guys in the dancefloor was a common situation. I was in the same place last Thursday night after a beer with a friend and it was totally empty.
Anyway Poland isn't the same everywhere. I was thinking to move for example to Trojmiasto, but job market over there is not so good, contrarily to booming cities like Krakow or Wroclaw. And you have to consider the network that you can create in a city. It is not only about girls. There is another polish city where I was extremely successful and getting 3/4 numbers for night or having ONS, happened not only once - but just to avoid false expectations, I was able to do it only since I spoke in Polish (these girls had zero english skills) and my night game is very solid.

I just come back from party and I would say that 60% of girls were overweight. Good luck in finding a 7. This is a big issue nowadays, full of McDonalds, Kebab and shitty food. These places are always full of girls. This issue is not evident in other polish cities.
Entitlement is surely an issue, sometimes there are very harsh rejections - not a problem for me, but might destroy the mood of many people.
Then it really depends, there are some regions in Europe full of pretty and feminine girls (ex. France), and other where you have to be lucky to find a decent girl (ex. Portugal or Italy)
