Maybe he will find him, but the odds are against it. If he doesn't, he will eventually have to settle for what he can get, and will be angry about it.

This explains the "job interview" character of dates with these women- they are trying to drill down as quickly as possible to find out if you are a viable candidate. Trying to qualify you as a potentially profitable chump.

It also explains why the 30-40s are much more reluctant to have sex than either younger or older women. They want to use sex as a bargaining chip-something to dangle in front of a chump to make him invest time, effort, money and emotion into her and thus make it more likely he will end up ensnared in a "relationship."

A good example of all this is a friend of my main girl. My girl told me her story. A few years ago she was a classic NYC career girl in her mid thirties and decided it was time for her to get married and have kids. So she embarked on a very deliberate effort to find a husband. She told my girl she treated it like a job. She was on dating sites constantly and went on 6-7 dates per week. Eventually she did rope in a chump, a guy who makes very good money and who my girl said is controlled by his now wife in everything he does. She also managed to have a kid and has gained 100 lbs since the wedding.

So this is what we are dealing with in these serial daters. They are calculating opportunists who are not out for fun or love, they are out to capture resources from men. So when they leave after one drink it's really a sort of backhanded compliment; they have recognized that you aren't the easy prey they are looking for.

For some reason I checked out this thread today, and decided to invest an hour sending messages exclusively to girls under 28 who said they were interested in guys up to age 40.

I was shocked at how many of them returned "Their mailbox is full." Last year around this time, I could send a hundred messages and never run into a full mailbox. Tonight? Seems like one out of four girls had a full one. Not even hot chicks, just girl-next-door "6es".

I think another variable to all of this that's worth pointing out is that most of us on this forum are reasonably successful with women comparative to the average chump, and that this may actually hurt us with the 30-40 demographic. I've been called a "player" many times by women on dates, and I take that as a compliment because what it's communicating to me is that they can smell my experience. This helps your game only if the girl in front of you is in the right age bracket for 'gina tingling adventures. I was wondering what is the general view regarding sending an original/funny/interesting first message vs a simple "hey 'x'" or "hi there" and the likes. My thinking is that while the former type of message will definitely elicit more responses, it will also create false leads and a higher flake rate. So in the end of the day, do you think that one would actually miss out on bangs due to sending opening messages of the latter type?
The answer to this question might be location dependant, as I suspect chicks in the Anglo world have grown to expect a tailor made opening message or at least a smart ass pickup line.

I usually go for the smart-ass pickup line. If only because many dating sites give the ability to filter out first messages containing keywords, or messages that are too short.

Is anyone still slaying on here like we were a couple years ago? Judging from the slew of bitter and jaded posts over the past several pages here I would guess not.
