She is clearly a gold digger. You don't have to pay for dirnks that you didn't order, except if you go alone with the girl, which in some circumstances you might have to pay for her. As for her friends, they can pay their own stuff.

Last month I had a scenario where one of my plates invited me to have dinner for her father's birthday. I normally don't go out with the family of my plates, but since she was a good one, I agreed. She brought her extended family, parents, etc. for a total of 14 people. We all had a good time.

Until...

The check comes. The girl, without even looking at me, just puts the bill in front of me and continues talking to her parents. I started playing on my phone to ignore this, but after 5 minutes, she looks at me, and says "are you ready?" and continues talking to the family.

I excused myself to the bathroom. They are probably still waiting for me.

If they are several years older and invited everyone out, it's not uncommon for the guy to pay because they will generally have more money.

Cheetah, maybe it depends on what level of Thai society you are out with, but usually if I am invited out for drinks or karaoke by Thai guys they will not let me pay for anything, insisting that I'm their guest. If we go out regularly we will take turns or pay our own share. If you are on a first date with a quality Thai girl, it would probably be a smart move to pick up the tab, but if you are out for drinks with her friends she will not expect you to pay for them and just as likely that they pick up your tab too.

That said, there is a large group of scamming/gold digging Thai girls and guys in Bangkok and throughout the country that will try to get you to pay for them, their friends and their family.

My Thai wife's family will always try to pick up the tab when we go out for dinner and the only way I can reciprocate is to get up and settle the bill away from the table before they ask for it.

I dont mean to burst the bubble of this thread, but I really would like someone to explain to me what all the fuss is about when it comes to Bangkok. I feel there are things that have to be said here, because people considering travelling there might get the wrong idea.

I had the displeasure of being seconded there for 9 weeks, with a small break in between, for work a few years back. The skyline is great, but at street level it stinks and is third-world grimy. Food made me sick at least once a week and I have no time for Buddhism and even less for people who appear to be religious but cant wait to rip you off the moment the chance arises. Since that 9 week experience, I have had to go back to Bangkok and Pattaya - in December 2014 - for a cousin's buck's party. I was one of the groomsmen so I couldn't get out of it. Apart from Bangkok, I have worked in Singapore and seen KL, some Malaysian and Thai islands, some of Mainland China and HK and Macau - when it comes to Asia.

While I was in Bangkok I did all the partying I needed to - RCA, Thong Lo®, Sukhumvit, Silom bars etc... I think I went everywhere.

They call Thailand the Land of Smiles but I didn't see a general level of happiness and smiling in Thailand over and above all of the other third world countries Ive visited. In fact, its better referred to as the Land of Unsmiles because I did notice when I didn't buy what someone was selling that their smile (fake) turned in to nasty frown very quickly.

But this is ostensibly a PUA site, so lets talk about women. SEA women are natively not at all attractive. If you look at the indigenous SEA female, you get a large forehead, huge mandible/jaw, bridgeless wide nose, dusky-dark skin, flat bum and no height. It's plain bad. How can that be a pussy paradise? How many women looking like that with those features are considered hot? How many are in the Victoria's Secret show? Unless you have a fetish for that very look, and Im talking wayyy past yellow fever here, you're not gonna like what you typically see.

So if you really think about it, what men are chasing over in places like Bangkok are the outliers. The women who don't look all like as described above. The look men chase in Bangkok - certainly the rich locals - is a girl who looks about as far removed from the typical SEA as you can get. Evidence of this can be seen in the actresses chosen to play the roles of young, beautiful women . When I first went to Bangkok and saw one of their soap-operas on TV, all I saw were women desperate not to look Asian at all. In fact, a lot of them looked about 75% Caucasian and 25% Oriental. That got me thinking - if youre going to Bangkok for the women, its a behavioural non-sequitur. Why go all the way there to chase Asians if the ones you really like are doing whatever they can to look otherwise?

So lets talk about these outliers - the taller, whiter etc... the look the "hi-so" are so desperate to achieve. Ive spoken to them in the Thai-only clubs and on RCA. Up close, I was unimpressed. Ive been the ceremonial white guy invited to these places because of the way I look - over 6 foot tall and by that time had been roiding for years. I stood out. I know they liked me. Some showed it. Some didn't. Got the dumbass SEA variety of shit tests, passed them and closed using everything from a semi-beta approach PUAs like to use in SEA to counteract an overly physical look, to absolute drunken cave manning. At this juncture, let me say that one of the most pathetic things I have encountered in my entire life is the conversation from a Thai chick who thinks she's important and is desperate to come across as such. The garbage these women spout about their families and how many Mercedes their dad owns etc is entirely fucked up. I felt like punching them in the head. To have to listen to an Asian princesses brag about coming from wealth points to zero social and emotional intelligence. These women have no idea how to be respected. Listening to these bitches confirmed all you hear about a sense of entitlement at the individual level, and corruption in the country, generally. By the end of the 9 weeks, I was walking off mid-sentence when I got any feeling that they were about to rant.

There were an extremely small number of women I saw in my 9 weeks who I considered to be truly attractive. Even then, I don't know how they looked when the fake shit came off. And every single one of them looked like they had a nose job. If they didn't, they were blessed to be born with a nose that had a bridge. That would indicate Chinese or other blood in the family. In fact, I saw better lookers in the gogo bars in Pattaya in 2014 then I did in my 9 week stint in Bangkok years earlier. They had boob jobs, nose jobs and were quite tall with toned bodies.

Yeah man, I think you are onto something.

I'm currently in BKK, and and I have kinda similar sentiment.

There are some good looking girls, but really not that many. Also, the best looking girls often don't speak english very well. Maybe they would be interested, but if there's a language barrier it's hard.

I've been hearing stories of people who bang like 5+ girls a week in BKK. If someone hooks up with that many girls, I can guarantee that 80% of them are going to be a 6 and lower. Unless you hire some higher-end escorts of course. There are some nice looking hookers/ gogo dancers around.

I have to say though that generally the mentality of the people and the girls is quite pleasant. I have always enjoyed hanging out with girls here. They are very laid-back and not bitchy at all. So that's a plus. However, they can be quite boring too.

Also, if you like to get a hooker from time to time, you can do it here easily. Prices are rather low, and the experience can be quite "girl friend-like". It's also pretty normal here, and the general population doesn't really seem to judge it.

So coming here for the women doesn't really make that much sense for me. But you can live here quite cheaply - definitely for less than in a metropolitan city like NYC oder London. So it's a good place to work on some projects where you maybe don't make that much money, and you can hook up with some girls that look quite nice, albeit maybe not really super hot.

Appreciate you reading my post. I now see it was a tad too long.

Sour grapes refers to putting something down because you cant have it. With that strict definition or meaning, the sour grape factor I feel with Bangkok women is 0%. If I've ever had the potential for sour grapes, it was when I spent 6 nights in Moscow and saw magnificently looking women but ended up with one single high 6. Don't know what happened there. Having said that, I wouldn't even concede that I have sour grapes from my Moscow experience.

On the point of 8s and 9s, you may have misinterpreted my post. I never said I was a banger of 8s and 9s in that post, nor alluded to it. It's other posters talking about their 8s and 9s bangs in Bangkok who I call out as liars.

The first pics represent selective bias because theyre magazine quality. Anyone buying that photoshopping should look at the pics I posted. That was the entire point.

Go back and read the posts. Ive read dozens word for word and skimmed many more. It took me three hours. I don't buy what people are selling here and I feel strongly enough about it to have posted what I did.

It's easier writing positive and not negative posts - I get that - and as such expected a lot of backlash from my original post, which I haven't as yet received, thankfully. I appreciate the restraint you and CodyB have shown as opposed to calling me every name under the sun.

The only thing left to say is that if you think you're a good looking Aussie who likes Asians and doesn't mind mass approaching, you're better off flying to San Fran and hitting up what you can there. For some reason as I have stated in other threads, the accent goes down a treat.
