I can relate to that. A lot of the most successful bloggers I know of only produce an article a week, if even that, though. Maybe just need to reassess your approach.

It would be cool for a small group of us Southeast Asia guys who are into IM to relocate to the same place for a month or so and do an in-person mastermind to keep each other on track, stay motivated, bounce ideas, etc, and get some shit done. Would any of you be interested in something like that?

An article a week is fine, but a good article will still take you 8ish hours to complete. So you still end up writing nearly every day of the week if you want to produce top notch quality.

I'd be interested in that, but not sure when or where I'll be going yet. Manila, Jakarta, Saigon, not sure.

Agreed on the 8 or even more hours on a proper article. I usually get really caught up on a piece though so I'll bust that out in a day or two. But yea, if you don't like writing that could get old.

Manila and, especially, Saigon, are both high on my list right now too. Jakarta sounds cool but haven't thought on it much. My when is also a bit up in the air, as usual.

I'd actually be really up for this. Been living as a bit of a lone wolf the past 17 months. Find it pretty hard to make guy friends after becoming 'red-pill' (I know that term's mega cheesy)

Though I have no experience of stuff like that and may only be up for somewhere where I can teach English in case I fuck it up.

The reason is that many of the gangs that used to shoot eachother in the slums have done a truce. Criminals with nothing to do turn their attention to the population instead. Poblado has been very targetted, especially the side closer to downtown (Loreto and parts of Las Palmas). They are heavily targetting cars, but pedestrians are on the spot as well. Just be extra careful of showing anything extra when walking around the city, at least until the truce is over and they get back to shooting themselves.

I live about 25 mins from Windsor across the border in Michigan and it's absolutely crawling with sluts who go to University of Windsor and love to get sloppy. Quite a few Michiganders cross over as well who are in the 19-20 range since there are not a lot of under 21 spots around here. As a result the scene is very reminiscent of college with a ton of trashy bars although there is a smattering of upscale spots like Level 3 which is actually 21 plus.

Definitely a place to visit if you want to get easy kills since the chicks are super easygoing and easy to approach( except the ones that visit from Toronto haha!). Also, you'll wanna go on a Saturday or Thursday since Fridays usually suck for whatever reason. Walking up and down Ouellette Avenue, Downtown, will yield a lot of bars and clubs so you can easily bounce from venue to venue until you find a good spot.

I just came back from a bar trek in Erbil in the Kurdish region of Iraq, where I am working. This place is a boomtown and every time I come back there are new places open.

The scene at night is not too bad, especially at the Deutscher Hof, the German restaurant which has a barbeque with a fire pit outside on Thursday night. I met a nice Asian-looking Turkish woman who was a teacher, but got pulled off by some friends and missed getting her number.

Other places are RJ's Irish pub and the T Bar. The T Bar is staffed with Filipinas.

Thai Clubs. I don't know what the hottest ones are these days, but there is an area somewhere north of Soi 1 and west of Second Road. Then, not too far from Differ, there used to be a big club called "Hollywood" and a couple of more in that same area. Not sure what they're called now, but that's where the young "normal" Thais go out.

If you get tired of Asians (why would you, but just in case), bounce to Walking Street to pick up some Russian chicks. There is an open air place called something like "Russian Bar", not far from Insomnia. You won't miss it. Russians call it "Bydlo Bar" (the Riff Raff bar). The chicks there are actually pretty hot. Order a drink and tip the staff, they'll be friendly. Another place, a new club, is called Masca which is at the end of Walking Street, not far from the pier where the Ko Lan ferries depart.

In a bus headed to Monterrey. Making my way to the border first though. I think this is my first tike as an adult taking the bus in the USA. Some weird people ride the bus. No bad bishes either.

Should reach Monterrey by midnight. Check in, either party or strip club then crash. Flight is at eleven going to Cancun. Might do Cancun for one night the PDC for the other two. We shall see...

Hopefully a bad bish or two is on the bus from Bville to Monterrey. I need to practice my Spanish game.

I was thinking I might have a future data sheet on that since it's one place a lot of people don't realize is modernizing, and I'm saving for a flight along with some other spots.

Any travel suggestions for a 20 year old on a first solo trip?

Do be a bit more specific, I'm looking to go for a few weeks to a month. Probably a country in SEA or SA, due to my limited budget (I'd estimate in between 2-3k, including flight costs).

Getting laid is a bonus, and obviously something I will aim for, but not the focus. I want to build experience and confidence from doing something different like traveling abroad solo while really young.

I'm still in the early stages of planning this, but I'm aiming for something around July-August.

Ideas?

Including flight to SEA? I've never been but it seems like it's going to be a tight budget for two weeks.

Your SEAsia ticket will cost you $1,200 or more, and it really isn't that cheap once you're here. Even with 3k, cuttin it pretty close. 2k isn't doable. I'd look into somewhere in SA or even Central America, where you can get a cheap flight.

Well, anywhere I can enjoy my time without spending too much but not being overly frugal either.

I actually have a preference for SA because I'm Brazilian so I feel like the language barrier wouldn't be too harsh. I don't speak spanish but I understand it pretty well and I should be able to pick it up easily.

I'd like to spend closer to a month.. Going out at night, maybe staying in a few hostels for that experience, getting a place of my own in between.. During the day try and meet some locals, visit some tourist places and such. Perhaps if I do SA I could also do a couple of countries in that time as well?

It's just me brainstorming at this point really.

How about the Caribbean countries? You guys think I could still get a good experience (based on what I am looking for) in a country such as Cuba or DR?
