FSH- 7.5
LH-5.3
total testosterone- 349
free testosterone-46.8
SHBG-37
prolactin 6.3

Your total T is at the bottom of the range which explains why you feel weak. Free T, i'm too lazy right now to search up the range. Whats the unit of measurement on free T?

It was pg/ml.. thanks for your response... Im not sure if I have a leg to stand on in convincing the doctor that a low range score such as 349... is not what I want to feel like.... who wants to be in the low range of anything?.. not me

Free Test should be 90 pg/ml for your age according to https://www.menshormonalhealth.com/norma...evels.html

so yea yours is low.

If you are certain that you want to get doc prescribed TRT then you can crash your test levels when it comes time to get another blood test to make it fall below the range. Its shitty that the range nowadays is like down to 250 tho which will make it difficult to crash that low.

RE: Testosterone injections
I just got the results and I am not sure how to interpret them. I'm 24.

- Total testosterone / serum is 3,96ng/ml with a reference range (1,66-8,11)

- Free testosterone is 11,29 pg/ml with a reference range (3,42-24,00)

I converted first figure into ng/dl measurement. Turns out it's 396. Acording to the table below, it's below the average of 75-84 year olds.

https://www.menshormonalhealth.com/norma...evels.html

Am I calculating something wrong?

Even without converting to a different unit, just by looking at the reference range, you can tell you are either in the middle or on the lower end. If your conversion is correct ( which I think it is) then the reference range is 166 - 811 pg/dl. 188 is a crime to go that low in testosterone.

RE: Testosterone injections
I'm 35 and just got my blood results back - seems I have sky high SHBG and shitty Free-T:

TESTOSTERONE 26.3 (7.60 - 31.40) / 759 ng/dl
FREE-TESTOSTERONE 0.297* (0.30 - 1.00) / 9 ng/dl
OESTRADIOL 54.6 (0.00 - 191.99)
SHBG 84.8* (16.00 - 55.00)
PROLACTIN 326* (86.00 - 324.00)

Could anyone give me some insights here? It seems I have a decent overall level of T but the super high SHBG level is messing with me.

Do I proceed with TRT to try increase my overall Free-T or should I be looking at something else to lower my SHBG level?

RE: Testosterone injections
Two years ago I got bloods done, just to see where I was at, and tested low.

297 ng/dL at 23 years old.

I never posted about it because it'd be a long post, and I've been busy as shit. Today I've got a few minutes so I wanted to update the thread with what happened.

When I got the results back, I almost shit myself. "Why me? I'm 23? I'm a RVF member? I take L-Optizinc?"

I was doing (almost) everything in my power to live a high test lifestyle, but fell short.

I ended up going to a test doctor. I got on clomid but had sub-par results and wasn't a fan of the possible side effects...floaters are serious...so I came off.

Fast forward to last year and I fixed the issue by myself.

You see, I was on a prescription allergy medication, for most of my life, that caused serious anxiety. Some people here will know I'm all about meditation, Gorilla Mindset, NAC, minimizing stress, and calming the brain. That's why...I've always had anxiety.

No one, not even my test doctor, questioned whether test could be related to anxiety...OR the tiny allergy pill I took.

After countless up and downs, I came off of this prescription allergy medication.

Next thing I know...anxiety disappeared. Mental clarity is through the roof. Happiness is constant. Life is calm and enjoyable.

You know when you take that first sip of coffee in the morning, and everything feels like it's gonna be ok? That's how I feel 24/7.

I had bloods done again and:

-Test is at 600 ng/dL
-LH is off the charts...so even if I wanted to hop back on Clomid, it'd be useless

What was the issue? I don't know.

There was something going on that prevented my brain from signaling for test. Somehow, my mental chemistry was out of wack due to the allergy med.

Remove the allergy medication, reset brain chemistry, and test goes back to normal.

Moral of the Story

If you're young, old, or in between...get your bloods done.

If you test low....read the books, forums, articles...everything you can. You can fix it.

If you want more details feel free to PM me.

RE: Testosterone injections
P.S. - after that ^ I started taking loratadine (an antihistamine), but recently found out it could be responsible for lowering test too:

Right on Redbeard for taking the initiative to get your blood work done and to take your health into your own hands and fixing the issue yourself, I'm glad to hear that things are getting better bro. So what are you going to do about the allergy symptoms now?

God damned them all, I was told we'd cruise the seas for American gold, we'd fire no guns-shed no tears, now I'm a broken man on a Halifax pier, the last of Barrett's privateers!

Thanks guys, I couldn't have done it without the forum.

1. I don't give a fuck. After having psoriasis, which made me constantly itch, a little runny nose is no big deal.

My brain is much sharper now, so I'm able to focus on the matter at hand. I have vision and drive. I get shit done no matter how I feel. I know that it's just allergies, it's not going to kill me, so why worry? Stress kills.

2. Orthomolecular Dosing of Vitamin C

Zelcorpion has is supposed to write a data sheet about it. On a regular day, I take 3 doses of 3g through the day, as preventative maintenance. If I start feeling sick, I increase the dosage accordingly. Being proactive about this has helped with any sinus infection nonsense. I increase the dose before getting sick to minimize the effects.

You can read more about Vitamin C here.

I did everything natural you can do.

Sunbox, heavy lifting, lots of sex, Vitamin E, Zinc, Magnesium continue to be mainstays of my lifestyle.

I tried no caffeine, no booze, paleo, gluten free, 10 hours of sleep, regular juicing, you name it.

I continue to practice these natural remedies but nowadays, the most important to me are:

1. Managing stress. I read "Why Don't Zebras Get Ulcers" and it's amazing how stress ravages the mind and body.

2. Controlled caffeine consumption. I went two months without it and realized how much it affects REM sleep. Now I recognize the power of it and use it wisely, cycling on and off.

First of all, don't make us go to google to find what the heck you're talking about. Provide a link.

Second of all, if you read any page of this thread you'd know test boosters are BS.

Third, the first three results for this supplement show that the story was fake news.

If it's affordable there, pick up +12 weeks worth on general principle. Even if you don't need it now, you may want it later.

Finally started my TRT program. Total T @ 451 in late twenties. High E2 @31. 17% bodyfat. My program is 140mg per week (two injections) + HCG 500 IU and 0.5 anastrozole.

First night I slept a lot better, maybe placebo?

RE: Testosterone injections
Can anyone confirm that it's legal to get a prescription for test from a doctor overseas (Thailand for instance) and then bring it back into the US with you? I believe I heard on the enhanced athlete YouTube channel that it's legal. I haven't done blood work yet (I live in one of those shithole Communist states where you can't order blood work on the internet, it has to be done through a doctor) but this winter when I'm traveling I plan on getting it done and if the results say I'm on the low end of the range I'm going on trt whether it's through a doctor or self administered, I just don't want to get on it while I'm traveling and then be fucked when it's time to come home.

Feeling better in the past three days. Just did my second injection. Feeling a little more energy. I feel like I want to live in the gym. Also just a tad hornier.
I think I screwed up my first injection in my quad; might have injected while it was flexed. It hurt for 3 days. Second injection on opposite quad went much smoother.

I have super high SHBG. My first doc had me on clomid alone and after one day it was ineffective.

Went to Defy medical and they have me on T plus HCG plus an estrogen suppressor, Anastrazole. I just started with them so nothing to report but the point is that you need something to reduce the SHBG.

Other than scrips, you can double your dose of Zinc and supplement with Boron and Stinging nettle root. Supposedly SHBG can spike if you have deficiencies of zinc or boron. But if you are getting and adequate amount, then these will do nothing for you. ymmv.

I can write a longer response after you answer a few questions but you are overthinking things about your first night's sleep and your E2 is probably not high.

Questions:

Are you working with a doctor?

Which testosterone ester are you using? (propionate, cypionate, enanthate, etc.)

Are you doing intramuscular or subq injections?

What is your free testosterone? (this is probably more important than your total T)

Did you do the standard estradiol test or the ultrasensitive test? (if you don't know then you probably got the standard test)

Why do you think your E2 is high at 31?

Good choice with Defy Medical. Do you know why they you on anastrazole? Was it because of test results with high E2? or something to do with high SHBG? or does Defy do this as a standard practice with new patients?

E2 is the most difficult aspect of TRT for many guys to figure out although some guys aren't estrogen sensitive and have no problems with E2 even at high testosterone dosages. Different doctors have different opinions. Some doctors put all their clients on aromatase inhibitors. Some doctors don't believe aromatase inhibitors are needed if testosterone levels are within normal levels. I would like to know what Defy/Saya think about this.
