RE: Testosterone injections
I'm currently around week 8 of a self prescribed TRT course. I am taking 75mg test enanthate every 3 days and have seen/felt it start to work its magic in the last few weeks or so. This isn't a huge dose so as I expected the changes are not drastic, as they would be on a high dose steroid cycle, but I am happy so far.

Main benefits have been imcreased energy and strength, better sense of wellbeing/less mental fog - I am getting things done without hesitating. My diet has not been perfect (but not terrible) and I have definitely lost fat/added muscle. This is just the beginning of a long journey and I am glad I started it, will post a more detailed update after I have blood tests done in a few weeks time.

RE: Testosterone injections
36 male here.
Had my T checked because of almost chronic fatigue and less than optimal erections. Also, I was pretty overweight for past ~13 years plus I got into obese category few years back (at my heaviest I was 275lbs). Now I'm at 209lbs and dropping, goal is ~185lbs by Feb. Working out, lifiting, Krav Maga, hiking etc. so pretty active.
They tested my T last year, it was about 400, had it tested again this year, twice, it plummeted to below 300.
Spoke to a urologist who directed me to an endocrinologist.
That doc told me that he has no problem prescribing me the TRT (he advised to do the injections+LH, because the testosterone pellets which were offered by the urologist are costly and they can give out only a limited amount due to Health Dept regulations bla bla bla), but strongly insisted on me doing a sleep study first, since I told him I snore at night.

I know for sure that even if I do have sleep apnea I won't be able to sleep with that damn mask on my face, plus I usually get around 8 hrs of sleep each night and have no problem waking up at 5am and hit the gym almost daily.

Should I even bother with the sleep study or is the doc just trying to get the most out of my insurance?

In today's world "I think therefore I am" has been replaced with "I'm offended therefore shut up."

Had my T checked today and it was 317ng/ml.

I'm 26yo and the doc is wanting to get me to 700-800 and then maintain there, Is this fine or should I look for a doctor that will get me to 1,000?

If you snore I highly suggest this device

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Anti-Snoring-Ton...SwbsBXowmZ

This is the name brand one that might be a little better but is way more costly
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Anti-Snoring-Ton...Sw7NNUHK~z

it's a mouthpiece you wear that holds your tongue forward. it really works and it's not too uncomfortable.

there are other devices that push your jaw forward but these can mess up your bite and should be avoided.

Thanks for the suggestions, but snoring only bothers those who happen to stay overnight, not me Smile

Also, I can't imagine myself being able to fall asleep with that thing in my mouth (I know, that's what she saidWink).
Even the nasal silicone inserts bother me so much that I can't sleep.

RE: Testosterone injections
Thought I'd give an update on my TRT journey. I considered TRT, but after speaking with the folks at a well known online HRT clinic, they put me on low dose clomid. 25mg every other day + an AI 0.1mg every other day. Cost is $60-$70 per month. This was enough to take my T levels from 450-925. LH levels also went up. I've been on this program since July of this year, and its working well so far. A lot of the mental fog has gone, and I have a noticeable increase in libido. My ball are still super small, but they always have been. Been making lots of gains at the gym as well. I'd recommend this route, except for one caveat, i.e. there's no conclusive evidence of the long term effects of taking low dose clomid. Eventually when I hit my low 30s, I'd like to explore using TRT, just to try out some of the supposed superpower effects.
Going to post this in the clomid thread as well.

RE: Testosterone injections
Got a call from my doc today with the results of the latest blood test: My overall T is under 400, which is in the low norm range, but my free T is way low.
He tried pushing a sleep study on me again, which I declined.
So he prescribed 50mg T weekly (which I will most likely split into 2x25mg doses twice a week), will pick up the T and the gear today.
Doc wants to have me do a blood test in two months and come see him.
I'll keep everyone posted on any changes (which I hope will be positive).

The higher the Test level the higher the DHT level.
DHT is extremely mentally stimulating and can put your libido into overdrive mode.

This can be an uncomfortable situation if your at a stage in your life where you want to focus on Business and not walk around sporting a Thirsty Boner 24/7.

On the flip side, the higher the Test level the higher the E2 level.
High E2 left unchecked can lead to lots of strange physical and mental side effects in men.

Good job dialing in the right range for you.

RE: Testosterone injections
Original Stats before treatment:
7/25/16
Total: 588
Free: 52.5
E2: 32
Prolactin: 5
Globulin: 54

After almost 3 months:
11/17/16:
Total: 1967
Free: 36.3
E2: 86.6
Globulin: 71.74
Albumin: 4.21 (don't know what this is)

I started on test early September here in Chiang Mai. I found a doc that is very liberal and basically has a rubber stamp when it comes to giving what I want.

I received my first injection of 250ml Testoviron Depot and another 2 weeks later.

I began to feel more energy, more sex drive and my lifting sessions felt much more productive.

I then started self-administering at 125ml every 5 days.

Over the past month I started feeling like shit so we did another blood panel (see above).

My total went up a lot but my free went down. My E2 went through the fucking roof.

She then told me that my T was way too high and to cut back to 125 Testoviron Depot every 10 days. She also put me on an AI (Arimidex) at 0.5mg once per week.

At the moment I am feeling like a chick on the rag. I switch between calmness to rage. I have been extremely short tempered and my sex drive is gone.

I definitely wish I would have taken this much slower as I had a very high conversion of T to Estradiol due to the vast amount of T in a short amount of time.

My goal is to get it at about 750-800 total.

My advice, go fucking slow at the beginning.

RE: Testosterone injections
What are your SHBH levels Bill? I suspect this may be out of range causing your free test to lower. Do not leave your free test dip out of mind. Taking external test should raise your free test. Albumin is a protein made in the liver. Has many functions like transprting hormones, nutrients etc. But its main purpose serves to keep blood from leaking out of your blood vessels. Also, what are your BUN levels like? If your on a high protein diet with test that high I'm guessing thats also out of range (on the high side). BUN levels are just the amount of nitrogen (toxins) floating around in your blood. If this is high this basically means your kidneys cannot keep up converting the amount of protein your ingesting. I recommend you visit your nearest red cross and donate blood. Double reds to be specific. That should temporarily lower your SHBH, hypertension (if any) and BUN levels. You need a kidney panel and more specific hormone blood work done. Your going to be fine if you just pay attention and fix any out of range bloods.

Anyone have any experience with Sustanon? I was taking it instead of regular testosterone for the last seven months.... I think I prefer just regular test.

RE: Testosterone injections
@Bill

You might be better off using the local doc to get you what you need (gear, labs, etc) and tele-consulting with a specialized endo in the US on a long term basis to be your guide.

My experience with hopitals/doctors in Thailand has been plentiful and not altogether encouraging.

Like most of the rest of society, the doctors mostly regurgitate what they were taught in med school and do very little ancillary research or thinking for themselves.

That includes the big wigs in Bumrungrad.

Not all, mind you - but many.

So I tend to do my own homework, pay for telemedicine sessions if I'm really stuck, and then use the system here in a purely diagnostic / self-treatment capacity.

Also, I believe Pro Nutrition in Chiang Mai supplies pharmaceutical grade testosterone and other stuff from a German manufacturer.

is fast beard/hair growth, a sign of high testosterone ? I have some issues with fatigue, unnecessary fat (i.e. bitch tits). It's hard to assess what is normal and healthy, as I live in London; a place where most men are at best, supplicating betas or complete Omegas.
I am 24 years old, so I really shouldn't be having these problems,

What do you guys think of those specialty places that advertise themselves as "male clinics" are they just T peddlers who'll prescribe anyone who walks in the door or will they give me honest results if I have them do a blood panel?

Do you excercise? What does your diet consist of primarily?
How much sleep do you get every night?

Meat and fish, I use a lot of Tamric in my cooking. I do shift work however, so sometimes I can be completely drained. Exercise, probably twice a week at the gym, I do press ups at home though.

It never hurts to get your T levels checked, but I would suggest regulating your sleep, try to get at least 7 hours of sleep every night and organized diet. Hit the gym at least three times a week, find a program or just do compound exercises, but look up how to do them safely.
I started following Keto diet in May + gym and Krav Maga and so far the results have been nothing short of great.

Same here, had to take a few years break due to wrists injury.
Word of advice, start slow as if you're a newbie. Don't overstrain yourself, bring it up to speed slowly.
As for exercise, bodybuilding.com has a free app where you can chose a workout plan that suits you and track your progress. They have videos of how to perform each exercise too. Worked really well for me when I just started and didn't know what the hell I was doing.

RE: Testosterone injections
Grenblin, what is your ratio of muscle loss to body fat loss on a cut using keto? I did keto for 6 months and couldn't change my ratio of 1lbs of fat loss to .5lbs of muscle loss. 1: .5. By personal experience it is far more effective of finding that delicate balance of just the right amount of carbs. I look my best now than I ever have while finding my exact carb/protein/fats balance. This obviously changes on workout days so I cycle my fats/carbs. Keto breaks down too much muscle even though it is very effective at losing weight. That weight is body fat but also some muscle. By eating carbs (the right amount for your LBM) you can lose bodyfat WHILE increasing muscle mass. Keep in mind if your on a cut, the muscle mass increase will be minute compared to the bodyfat loss. And vice versa on a bulk. Keto gets too much attention due to the rapid loss of weight however ineffective for the long term. You will have to fight to put the muscle back on you during a bulk.

Please don't like my posts or rep me. I do not wish to be judged by how many rep points and/or likes I have.

Creepin - stay on a long acting ester like cyp or eth. Sustanon is a fast acting test. This means a lower dose per pin and more pins per week. Assuming your on trt and not cycling.

I did not measure my ratio or loss fat vs muscle.
My main goal was to lose weight while maintaining whatever muscle I had left under that layer of lard I've put on over past decade.
However, while losing close to 50 lbs in 6 months (so far) I also lifted at least 3 times a week and I can definitely say that not only my muscles grew in size visually, but my strength increased drastically as well. E.g. when I started I barely could bench an empty barbell (3x12x45lbs) now I do the same with 135lbs.
The plan is to lose 30lbs more while staying on muscle maintenance route and start growing them after that which will probably require a change in diet.

RE: Testosterone injections
But to stay on the topic of the thread.
I've been on cyp for five weeks now doing 0.25 ml intramuscular injection twice a week.
Aside from being horny literally 24/7 now and killer morning wood, I've noticed an increase in appetite.
As I am on Keto I used to find that consuming 2000 kal/day was plenty, sometimes I came under that.
Now I am almost always hungry (literally 30 minutes after consuming a substantial meal) and it drives me insane. Is that normal effect of TRT?

In today's world "I think therefore I am" has been replaced with "I'm offended therefore shut up."
