I was thinking that there may have been a background context to those set of messages that we did NOT know... but who knows? Sometimes people do weird things and even out of character things... I recall one time when I was drunk (maybe I was 18 or 19 years old), and I was at a bar after it had pretty much closed. No one was around, the performance stage area, and I took all the microphones from that area and I walked outside with them (out the back door). I walked with them for like a half mile (or it may have been a mile), and I ended up stashing them in some rocks b/c I did NOT have a further plan about what to do with them. Really stupid shit, especially if I had gotten caught. I later thought that was so stupid for me to take those b/c I did NOT even want them, but I had been drinking so much that I became kind of impulsive, emotional, delirious and even acted out of character.

Anyway, my point is that sometimes people do weird shit and there may be something that influences them, including getting kind of irritated about something like a SIF or having a series of SIF encounters that makes a guy go bonkers when he experiences his next SIF situation, and if later the guy reflects upon the situation, he may think that was some weird shit that he did.

I'm in Poland and only signed up to this thing last week. I had a match with a good looking Norwegian girl who was dead keen to meet but then suddenly went cold the next day.

I was discussing this with bojangles and MattC and it seems it happens quite a lot. MattC put it as the girl gets a temporary high on the first day that loses the appeal the next. As we all know, women 'feel' rather than think, so it's not surprising.

Overall, I think for something that is largely passive and requires little effort, it's worth signing up to though.

I've noticed an influx of ugs/fatties on there the last week or so.

I just got over 20 matches in a row as well. Some of them had not logged on since last year and some were previous matches.

I live an hour away from Panama City Beach the supposed spring break capital of the US and the number of chicks to scroll through has been sparse lately. WTF?

I have had one match, I was just looking, do not really care. Anyways I saw some stupid quote that Tinder puts under the girls profile. It said :" it is considered rude to be silent in some cultures". I thought that the girl texted this to me. So I said " In this culture, when you are busy working, you do not have time to text all day". She replies with a " well I work, and I can text all day if I want", then proceeds to tell me that she is an old folks in house care person, and she has a useless college degree in like French Literature or something. So I say "sounds exciting", and follow up with asking if she wears a naughty nurse uniform? She replies with an LOL, and then she says no that she wears yoga pants. I then say "are those the tight ones that show off your ass?". She goes your creeping me out now.....Bye..???? I did not even respond. Do not know what to make of this whole thing. I think it is the ultimate chick attention whoring validation tool.

Was in Vienna this past weekend and recieved 20 matches in less then 2 days. Germany looks just as promising if you're 100 miles within a major city.

I just installed Tinder and was pleasantly surprised by its ease of use. However, my elation soon faded upon running out of female profiles in just a few minutes.

With my age range being 18-40 and my radius being 75 km (50 miles), I only saw about 15 female profiles at most. I swiped "like" on all of them because I figured out that I have nothing to lose and there's no need (or even opportunity) to play hard to get.

Fearing that Tinder is a sausage fest, I decided to do some recon. I temporarily switched my preferences and also checked out male profiles for the same range and area (swiping "nope" every time, ofc. ) and found that there are just 4-5 male profiles, 1 of which is a solid player (model looks), and the rest are all pasty herbs.

So it's not a sausage fest, it just seems it's not very popular in my area. I assume that this is very weird compared to your experience (such as Soup in NYC, he could probably swipe girls on Tinder 24 hours a day and never run out).

Tinder works weird sometimes. It can say it's out of profiles, and give you 100 new ones the day after. It has to do with the way it determines your location and fills your "buffer" so to speak. I've had girls appear for me 2 weeks after they appeared on my friends phone, while she lives in the same city.

Just keep closing the app (on iphone) and changing the radius - it should fill you up with new profiles afaik.

In an average US city of 2-6 million, you will run out of matches in your area if you swipe a few hundred times. More for tech-forward San Francisco. But match options in these cities will replenish throughout the day if you check it frequently.

Under 2 million, Tinder is going to be a bust. At least compared to what you could accomplish otherwise in small city nightlife. But that goes for any online dating service in those areas.

In NYC, you will never run out of prospects. Tinder is online dating overload if you're in New York.

Sounds about right, I only got about 200 swipes before I ran out of babes and our pop here is about 175,000 but there are 4 new ones a day at least.
