From December through March the weather was great here for me.

Now it's too damn hot!

I am also getting the feeling that there are basically no travel forum people based in Manila full time. This is making me second guess my decision to be based out here for a very long time.

I think this time of the year is good time to break from Phils, at least Manila area....Vietnam seems to be a decent idea.....(hot as hell also probably but at least it's a change of scenery).

Are there any SE asia paradises that have nicer weather around this time?

I'm starting to get the hang of this place, I might revisit for a bit to use the knowledge I've acquired.

Manila is good for getting pussy, no doubt, but I HATE the logistics here. I also spent most of my time here (10 days or so) trying to figure out the night life...it didn't help that I got sick and a major holiday occurred while I was here, but it's a pain trying to find a good night venue that isn't filled with whores or foreigners.


I'm actually surprised by online dating here. IMO Philippines is good for women, but the cities are so shitty it's hard to stay long term here.

Greenbelt / bgc : Sexy women but expensive to live there, Tinder very good. Ideal age is early 30s.
Cebu City : 1-2 points lower in terms of looks (slim tanned girls) + the whole place is shitty. Hard to see any local 7s there, and if you go there don't stay near mango square trust me. Ayala or IT park are the only viable places. Filipinocupid is good for teenagers, but your value in Cebu is lower if you're under 35 years old!! You find yourself in competition with a bunch of 50 years old guys. Ideal age is 35 - 45 years old.

Questions:

A. Best Day game spots in Makati, Quezon City or other places?

I have been simply day gaming in and around the big malls and the MRT stations. In Makati, the greenbelt mall area, and Glorietta Mall, and also the Ayala MRT station. In Quezon City, I like Cubao a lot. There are 2 big malls there - Araneta Center and Gateway Mall, and there is lots of foot traffic outside also. Also in Quezon City, the last stop to the North, there are 2 huge malls, Trinoma and SM North. The malls there are massive, and it's more upscale than in Cubao.


I have been told that High Street at the Fort (Global City) is a good place, and also Mall of Asia very good.

B. Best clubs in Manila?

I have only been to Valkerie around 3 times. It's alright. I like the way it's laid out, but the last time I was there, there wasn't a lot of hot girls like I would expect to see in a top tier club in a city the size of Manila. There were lots of foreigners there, and not very many hot girls.

I tried Burgos during the week, and thought it was awful. Also, I have been to 71 Grammercy, but it' been under renovation for some time.

Davao is one or two points lower in looks than Manila, the girls are simply not as healthy as Manila girls and that reflects in their height and shapeliness. Iloilo City is 2 to 3 points lower than Manila, there you can see the effects of severe malnourishment, it's tragic.

In your opinion, were the Cebu girls one or two points lower because you don't like tan girls (I don't factor skin color on the 1 to 10 scale unless it's death-pale or charcoal-black, both of which I'm not into, but I do factor flawlessness/lack of blemishes), or were they one or two points lower because they weren't as healthy as Manila girls (shorter, not as shapely)? I guess I took into account the tanned skin in the rating, as in the Philippines tan = lower class. So they are more prone to have as you say blemishes, bad teeth, dress badly, have a raunchy voice... Also I prefer the nice asses of girls in Makati.

The beaches are frankly terrible in Davao, even on Samal, and the entire place stinks of agricultural smoke despite being astonishingly cigarette-free. There's not much traffic, that's an advantage, but again, there aren't many places to go anyway so it doesn't matter much.

For me, it would have to be Cebu or Manila. If I could find a decent hotel/apartment, I'd probably choose Cebu for a longer stay... I just couldn't take being in Manila for more than a few weeks at a time.

Cheers man! Yes, I know *exactly* how you feel. It's only been a couple of months and I'm already trying to figure out how I can organize my life to go back there on a regular basis. I've never had such concentrated fun before. It's just a pity it's so damn far away from the US. I'm hoping South America or Eastern Europe will be just as fun and less travel. Happy to answer questions if anyone has them. Not really an expert but learned quite a bit in the month I was there. One tip: toward the end I stopped meeting girls directly at my hotel and instead would meet at a cafe or mall close by. It sounds like a great idea in theory to have them come over and hop in bed with you, and maybe 3/4 of the time it is absolutely amazing: there's nothing like making out with a girl then having amazing sex after exchanging only a few words. The problem is that if you don't like them, it can be very hard to get them to leave. 1/4 of the girls will turn out to be skanky in some way (e.g. poor hygiene, bad odor, too aggressive physically, etc.) or are actually hookers who didn't tell you and will demand "taxi money" or more when they show up. I never had a problem with them not looking like their pictures, but a few definitely had issues with personality, smell, and undisclosed p4p, and wished I'd met them elsewhere first. It can get very uncomfortable, and even confrontational sometimes. In one case I actually had to call hotel security to get a girl to leave after an hour of every other method failed, and I felt very glad I was in a hotel rather than an apartment. Also, the best girls know their value, and may want at least one date in a mall or somewhere else before hopping in bed. It happened one afternoon when I was walking out of People's Park with a girl, on the south side (Palma Gil St) right outside the Qasalubon Center. We were on the side of the street trying to hail a cab when some youths started running out of a building on the other side. There was shouting, a girl screamed, a guy grabbed at another guy's backpack. It happened very quickly. There were lots of people around and they started to run. Everyone was talking in Tagalog so I didn't have a clue what was going on. My girl pulled my arm and we ducked behind a parked van. There was a single loud bang followed by screams, and some more youths ran out of the building. They all ran East. After a minute everything went quiet and we asked a street vendor what happened. He said that it was a gang of street kids who hung out in that building (I think it was a residential building, possibly vacant) and that one of them had discharged a home-made gun, but nobody was hit.

There were zero police or security around, and none showed up either. There's a college building just to the right, with security guards posted in the entrance... they hid inside like cowards when it started, and didn't come out until maybe 5 minutes later. After it was over it was like it never happened at all. The taxi driver claimed it was the first time (way to save face in front of the Western tourist), but given the nonchalant reaction of everyone around, it seemed more like it was a regular occurrence. My girl was quite shaken up by it... and she's from Manila.
