RE: Rap/Hip-Hop Thread
I'm going to get blasted on the forum but I collect the sportball jerseys. Have been for 25 years.

Masta Ace was the first to wear them in videos...the early-mid 90s was when they started to take off, and the beats he flowed over were hard.

I still use "Born To Roll" when I EQ a new stereo or system.

Yeah.
Its good but not a classic like his last 2 albums.

Rumors are swirling that he's dropping another album on easter.

If true, he's gonna catch a lot of flack for comparing himself to Jesus.

^That's really interesting. Rumour started on a Kendrick subreddit.

New album on Easter Sunday called Nation (?)

Another solid album by Kendrick. The Trump era will bring us some of the best music in the genre. It's like a redux of the Reagan and Clinton eras, the golden ages of Hip-hop.

Im trying not to read anything in the press about Damn. Just listened fully today. First thoughts; its more of a typical modern rap album than Butterfly. Butterfly to me is one of the finest, most iconic rap albums of all time. It didn't have to grow on me. From the first few listens, I got it. He has an entire new approach to this record, new producer, etc. I will have to give it a few more listens this weekend before I can draw my conclusion.

Album was really solid. Borderline great. People are say its puts Kendrick as GOAT because their is not viable competition around him . If he was rapping the 90s and early 2000s people wouldn't be riding him this hard.

Been listening to this guy Hoodrich Pablo Juan, a member of the legendary Atlanta trap circuit. MPR wave to be exact. Did some stuff with QC (Migos), Longway (MPA), and co. His recent mixtape is worth listening to. Here are some highlights.

Prodigy died today from complications from sickle cell anemia. He managed to out live Tupac though.

I'll be listening to Mobb Deep all day.

If you're like me and don't have Tidal, here's a link to Jigga's new album 4:44 (my plug dropped this on Facebook). Would've bought if it were available elsewhere

https://www.dropbox.com/s/xvqge6po3h1uwt...D.zip?dl=0

Only 10 songs. I'm 3 tracks and so far, so good, Jay's in rare form. I gotta find out who the producers are on this...I don't think there's a single trap beats on this whole thing(he can afford to sample anything). Want to hear what you guys think of this too.

How the hell is Metro putting out so many fire tracks? Is he just putting his name on other producers stuff at this point?

The producer of all the songs is NO I.D
after listening to it twice i think the album is good with 2-3 dope tracks!

Solid album by Jay, better than his last.

The Eminem freestyle? I watched part of it.... I turned it off. Trump is wack but it was pretty awkward. Ngl. you'll hear it though on accident.... social media will feast on it.

RE: Rap/Hip-Hop Thread
Just had another RED PILL reminder moment with a girl.. who was dying to see me for weeks.. Was supposed to be Special.. and.. poof! details private..

And i gave up on a few other not so great girls over this time..

Was trying coming to terms with conversations from last few weeks/ month, so just burned some of the energy in a workout.. And asked Amazon Echo Dot to play some
In Da Club by 50 Cent ... wouldnt do it.. so I asked Alexa to play some
Hip Hop music..

And I never heard ever heard this song.. and it comes on.. Universe sending me a message of acknowledgement.. This is the Don't Save a "mentally fickle" ho/ girls song..

Quote:J. Cole Lyrics
"No Role Modelz"

First things first rest in peace Uncle Phil
For real, you the only father that I ever knew
I get my bitch pregnant I'mma be a better you
Prophesies that I made way back in the Ville
Fulfill, Listen even back when we was broke my team ill
Martin Luther King would have been on Dreamville
Talk to a nigga

[Pre-hook:]
One time for my LA sisters
One time for my LA hoes
Lame niggas can't tell the difference
One time for a nigga who knows

[Hook:]
Don't save her
She don't wanna be saved
Don't save her
She don't wanna be saved
Don't save her
She don't wanna be saved
Don't save her
She don't wanna be saved

No role models and I'm here right now
No role models to speak of
Searchin' through my memory, my memory
I couldn't find one
Last night I was gettin' my feet rubbed
By the baddest bitch, not Trina, but I swear to God
This bitch will make you call your girl up and tell her "Hey, what's good?"
"Sorry I'm never comin' home I'mma stay for good"
Then hang the phone up, and proceed to lay the wood
I came fast like 9-1-1 in white neighborhoods
Ain't got no shame bout it
She think I'm spoiled and I'm rich cause I can have any bitch
I got defensive and said "Nah, I was the same without it"
But then I thought back, back to a better me
Before I was a B-list celebrity
Before I started callin' bitches bitches so heavily
Back when you could get a platinum plaque without no melody
You wasn't sweatin' me

[Pre-hook]

[Hook]

I want a real love, dark skinned and Aunt Viv love
That Jada and that Will love
That leave a toothbrush at your crib love
And you ain't gotta wonder whether that's your kid love
Nigga I don't want no bitch from reality shows
Out of touch with reality hoes
Out in Hollywood bringin' back 5 or 6 hoes
Fuck em' then we kick em' to the door
Nigga you know how it go
She deserved that, she a bird, it's a bird trap
You think if I didn't rap she would flirt back
Takin' off her skirt, let her wear my shirt before she leave
I'mma need my shirt back
Nigga you know how it go

[Pre-hook]

[Hook]

There's an old saying in Tennessee - I know it's in Texas - probably in Tennessee that says fool me once, shame on - shame on you.
If you fool me we can't get fooled again

Fool me one time shame on you
Fool me twice, can't put the blame on you
Fool me three times, fuck the peace signs
Load the chopper, let it rain on you
[2x]

My only regret was too young for Lisa Bonet
My only regret was too young for Nia Long
Now all I'm left with is hoes from reality shows
Hand her a script the bitch probably couldn't read along
My only regret was too young for Sade Adu
My only regret could never take Aaliyah home
Now all I'm left with is hoes up in Greystone
With the stale face cause they know it's they song
She shallow but the pussy deep (she shallow, she shallow)
She shallow but the pussy deep (she shallow, she shallow)
She shallow but the pussy deep (she shallow, she shallow)
She shallow but the pussy deep (she shallow, she shallow)

[Hook 2x]

The point of modern propaganda isn't only to misinform or push an agenda. It is to exhaust your critical thinking, to annihilate truth.

Just got the Fabulous x Jadakiss mixtape. It's mediocre. All the trap beat they picked were whack and too many weak hooks. Should've stuck to east-coast beat tbh. Best tracks:

Song starts at 0:40(good use of Elm Street movie theme on the beat)

Avoid "Let's talk about" too much BLM and anti-Trump rhetoric any red-pill rap fan.

Cam'Ron, dropped a tape "The Program" unlike the former, very good. He hasn't lost a step:

Eminem released new album Revival. Unfortunately as a long fan I can say the only memorable song is Tragic Endings with Skylar Grey.

Take a listen..
