For members that have used tinder for months at a time, what do you guys do when you're matches dry out after a while.
I reset my profile every week or 2. Try it, you'll notice a dramatic difference in the number of matches you get

This works, resetting your profile. Or just don't swipe for a few days, I try to limit myself to swiping only twice a week.
When you say re-set your profile, do you mean changing your location?
I joined a few weeks ago and i live in San Francisco and the matches have been ok, not great, I changed locations to London about two weeks ago and it's a huge difference with women super liking me alot more and the quality of women are so much better for me. The women show alot more interest in holding a two way conversation instead me holding an interview session with the women in the SF area. There's some cool ones, but not many in my new experience.
Girls in Europe actually use Tinder to find guys and fuck. Wayyy less attention whoring than in the US. At least from my experience.

Europe in general is a few years behind the U.S. in everything. I remember they were still into break dancing in the mid to late 90's when I lived in Germany.
All the washed up musicians go on a European tour, reliving their glory days in front of packed houses.
I'd imagine Europe might be on their First Wave of Tinderism while the U.S. is on it's third wave.
How does one reset their profile? Also do you lose you're matches because of that?

Delete your profile under App Settings and then log in and recreate it
No. Technology spreads much faster now. Europe is way past the second tinder age.
They just do less attention whoring as a whole.
Asterion will I lose my matches if I do that?
(03-30-2016 04:47 AM)Pestilence Wrote: Asterion will I lose my matches if I do that?
Yeah... I usually number close my matches within 3-5 messages and escalate on whatsapp (which you should do so as to reduce them ghosting out on you if they get spooked). That way, when I delete and start again, it doesn't matter
I've been traveling through the Midwest the last week. Seems like its a bit easier in these 2nd and 3rd tier cities to get young decent looking matches. Lawrence, KS is a bigger college town with a good amount of decent looking girls around. Plenty of tattoos in most places though. I had one ok looking blonde actually just tell me I was her type and give me her digits - that was in davenport, IA.
Minneapolis has been pretty solid, especially compared to last time- although now my age on tinder is 29 instead of mid-30s. I've gotten over a handful of 19-25 matches here in the twin cities.
Also had a decent approach going last night in a bar/restaraunt but I think the chick smelled kind of bad and I had to bail anyway.
My general impression having been around the U.S. a bit in the last couple years is that the smallerr cities are easier to get reasonable matches, girls are friendlier, and maybe even a bit less flakey.
Local guys are much less stiffer competition. Also I'm darker complexion so I probably stick out a bit more in the Midwest.
Of course I haven't had the time/logistics on these trips to follow up/date/bang, so my data isn't exactly the most solid- but I get the gut feeling I could kill it in these places with a little time.
Yo if you reset your profile when you have Tinder Plus, does this mean you have to buy Tinder Plus again?
No. When you log in again and go to the plus sign up screen there should be an option to restore subscription or something similar.
Has anyone subscribed to Tinder Plus? Is it worth it?

Use the search function!
Myself - I've found it helpful to an extent. Certainly with pipelining for travel -- although for that alone you could save your money and get a GPS spoofer.
Someone wrote in this thread that Tinder Plus also helps bump you towards the top of searches in the algorithm. I haven't seen that work for me, unless I'm going to a new location. On that note, I can't help but wonder if I've wasted my money...
This hideous wilderbeast has gotten enough attention from thirsty dudes that she audacity to open her bio with a condescending message addressing potential suitors. Things have really gotten bad out here.

^ I'd thought that SIF's were brazen enough to boast about how they were "plus-sized" or "chubby" in their captions like a badge of honour. Are they seriously expecting to match with 6'3" Greek gods?
I was discussing how Tinder had changed with an old classmate in the time since he'd quit it. On Super Likes, he'd suggested somewhat humorously, "It shows you're desperate?"
What do you think of his opinion? Mind you, he's tall (188 cm) and really good looking though gay, so I can't see Super Likes working against him.

I always felt that "Super Likes" were inherently beta. Why tell a girl that you're "super" into her? It just makes you look like a bitch.
goonies 路 2016-04-02 14:47:00 路 #5121
The only advantage of super-likes is if you want to talk to girls that haven't select you in their preferred age range. I'm 36 so if a girl I like is 25 and she has her age limit set to 32 max, then even if I swipe right to her, I won't be shown to her. If I super-like, i'm pretty sure she is guaranteed to get a notification regardless of her age preference. It hasn't helped much for me so far though. I super-like, they like me back, but stop responding eventually.
On another note, how do you guys deal with convos where the girl doesn't ask questions but she keeps responding to you? I've killed a few convos by not responding to her because she really gave nothing to build on. A part of me thinks if a girl is interested, she will help carry on the conversation. Another part me thinks maybe I need to be more aggressive and carry the whole conversation.

Unlimited swipes and multiple super likes per day? Yep. Easier to just swipe on everything and unmatch the ones you aren't interested in. That way you get all the girls who might actually be interested. Part of the reason bumble holds so much intrigue... they have to match and send you a message first. Far less attention whoring.
^And yes agreed on the super likes and younger girls.

What do you mean? Put up an example.
I really should know this better given that I'm nearing 10 dates on Tinder, but once you've gotten the number and set a date, what sort of communication do you keep up assuming it's more than a couple of days away?
Up to now, I haven't done more than flick a courtesy text/phone call arranging location and any details with which you can build a bit of flirtation (wear x, etc.)
Keeping it to a minimum, I've found that flakes are pretty likely, mostly if you've proposed a date of 1 week+. This is even after a sprightly Tinder conversation and her attraction to my photos (presumably).
On the other hand, is a whole lot more comfort building necessary in the meantime if you want to secure a first-date bang?

I just mean when we are talking, I will ask the questions. She responds but never asks questions back. Her responses are sometimes short and she doesn't make an effort to carry on the convo. Do you continue plowing and go for the number even though it seems low interest?

Just ask her if she wants to meet. I never ask for number or anything else if we haven't already been talking about meeting. Setting up the date in tinder is the best things but sometimes she or I will have tight schedule and it's better to take the conversation to another medium.

I often pique their curiosity with something then say 'Whatsapp me - 077XX XXXXX. I'll send you a pic'
80% of the time they then send me a Whatsapp message. If not, then next.
