Super likes, when used right, does come in handy. I've received two bangs off super likes from chicks i've just briefly met before in the real world and wanted them to see my profile fast. I use them too (mostly when I ran out of normal likes) and if I match I open her with "oops, didn't mean to superlike you" and then some random question. It makes the superlike less needy and gets her hamster spinning.

You can't go wrong with video chat as it's like an in person meet without the investment on your part. I had a tinder girl once who matched with me on a saturday night. My other date had flaked on me and I had no plans. We started messaging in the app, quickly switched to text and I proposed that we meet for tea (she didn't drink). She was down for meeting but required us to facetime first. We had a two minute video chat and I met her 30 mins later. 30 mins after meeting we were on our way back to my place and I was balls deep in her shortly thereafter.

I haven't read through the thread for this but for those of you who find a girl you want to "Super Like" - especially younger girls who aren't likely to match with you, you can now click a share button to a link to their profile (via email) to yourself. Then you can use the link and your Super Like later when the timer is up - and avoid losing potential good matches. You can also use this to "share" a profile with a friend, or fellow player... who can then Super like them - even in other cities. A lot of possibilities for pipe-lining and hand-offs for potential eskimo bros . Obviously a super like isn't a guarantee but it puts you at the top.

Then starting around late 2014-2015 I think Tinder jumped the shark. It became passe, just another form of social media or self-promotion. Girls collect cute guys on their list the way they collect IG followers. Tinder is like a "higher tier" form of social media for women to seek attention and instant gratification. Even the semblance of dating seems to largely have gone out the window. I used to get at least one date a week with a 7+, now it's tumbleweed city, even though girls keep matching with me.

I have to agree and disagree. From the time I first used it (late 2013), I've had matches that simply didn't respond, and those whose conversations simply fizzled out. To be fair, I'd done the same to girls that I weren't keen on, so maybe it was the same in reverse. I think Tinder was by then already a numbers game.

Not only were there far, far more cuties, but I think the photos were a bit on point. What you saw was what you got. I've got the impression that today, you've got a whole lot of 5s mocked up as 7s and 8s.

If you sift hard enough, you'll still find matches that are serious about meeting up. I've managed to source maybe 10 numbers, 5 dates with another lined up for Sunday, and 2 bangs; all since returning home. Still one more has just initiated the conversation.

Having said that, there are times like this that make me wonder if the pioneers of Tinder circa 2013 have had their fill (double meaning intended) of online cock...

I've actually never used Tinder. I've had good luck going to Apple stores and other places where young people hang out.

Also, I think the super like is actually not so bad, you put yourself at the top of the order, which is great, think about how many guys are up on tinder. By the time a girl gets through 100 swipes, even a fattie probably has a few matches.

I try not to use the superlike on really hot girls. You're just feeding narcassism at that point. Those type of girls get whatever they want. I usually go for a girl 6.5-7.5 range who fits a look that I like, or maybe a short term tourist since it puts you up top. So far, I think its been pretty effective tactic

I've recently started using Superlikes in two ways-to hit up tourists in my beach town on the theory that some may be looking for a hookup, and on 18-25 year olds so they will see me, since at a Tinder age of 45 I am likely outside their age range set. I'm experimenting with using a hybrid Tinder/SA game on the young ones, especially the ones who have lots of slutty pics on IG linked to Tinder or say they are"wild" or "adventurous". I am getting matches from both these groups though no bangs yet.
