Yeah, I'm a little conflicted. A few more things is she thinks I'm a bit younger than my real age because my online profile says that. So, I'd hate to be sitting with her grandma or others and they're drilling me and ask my age and I either have to lie to them or tell them my real age and shock the girl.

^ That was my sense and hearing it from you makes me more glad I didn't accept her "invitation". I don't think I would have got an invite unless, I had asked her first "what does the rest of your week and weekend look like"

As far as what I want from this girl, for now, it's to keep seeing her. We get along so good and she's got the 'happy gene'. Also, she's very attractive. I'm getting the age where I would like some LTR's every now and then. At least a girl friend.

As for how she feels about me, I'm not sure. She says all these things she "loves" about me. I've had chlamydia three times in as many years. Thankfully it's the only STD I've ever caught. First off, it's the most basic and benign of all STDs fortunately. From my extensive research it can have rare complications if left untreated but for the overwhelming majority, it's a simply one dose antibiotic away from being cured.

A big part of accurate testing is making sure you've waited at least a week or better yet two before getting checked after your last new sexual partner. If you checked out as negative well after becoming exclusive with your LTR and truly haven't had ANY sexual contact with any other women (no bjs, no just the tip, no rubbing the head on a pussy) then the only way you could have caught it is from her.

So here are really the only scenarios that could be possible if you're being truthful in what you write:

1. She is or has been cheating on you but ended up becoming cured unbeknownst to her and never knew that she had it. Many people are asymptomatic but have the bacteria and it can stay active for a long time. If you read online there's a lot of debate as to whether Chlamydia actually resolves itself over time or not. It's entirely possible that she had an asymptomatic case that was cured by other antibiotics that she took for an unrelated ailment. For example she had a sinus infection and the doc prescribed her a Z pack which also knocked out the Chlamydia bacteria at the same time.

2. She is or has been cheating on you and was tested and treated for it and chose to lie to you about her condition gambling that she didn't give it to you or you already had it. This would be unlikely in my opinion as it could incriminate her at worst or reinfect her at best since she would have gotten it from you if she was indeed faithful.

3. She is or has been cheating on you and never was tested and threw it back to you that she was negative as a sort of shit test to see how you would react.

Regardless, it's really a whole lot of nothing since you've broken up with her and it's one of the easiest things to cure.

If you were truly 100% faithful and the latest test was a real positive, then she is the only possible source of infection. A lot of girls are asymptomatic for the duration of the illness and often guys are as well.

My first thought upon reading your version of the interaction where you told her and she responded nonchalantly is that she is looking forward to using this as bragging rights against you, since you so casually dumped her. As in "OMG look at these texts that loser was cheating on me and almost gave me an STD" to all her friends, even though she is the one that infected you. Hell, she could have popped positive on the test herself and lied to you in the text.

I hear you about wanting a girlfriend, nothing wrong with that at any age.

And sounds like she's in an entirely different stage in her life.

With that, it sounds like you're coming at her from the potential boyfriend frame of mind. With the life gap that's going to be hard. And if you judge her for doing what young girls do when they travel, before she's even done anything, that won't help your case.

Absolutely not. I had surgery last October and during the pre-surgery physical had them do the STD panel since I was at the Doc already. Then was laid up for a few months and just now starting to back into shape to get out. SoCal and H85, thanks for the replies. It was not a big deal and I am already through the meds, but had me pretty freaked out at the time. I was wondering if there were other scenarios I missed but it is pretty obvious she was out fucking around on me while I was recovering.

Another question for the forum. If you were in my situation, would you have told her about the positive test? At the time, it seemed like the right thing to do, but looking back I'm not sure I would have said anything.

I think the medical community's attitude towards herpes is shifting into the "no big deal" category. I went in last Saturday for a long overdue general physical with blood workups and when I requested a STD panel the Dr. told me that herpes is not normally included since even if it's positive the worst thing that will happen is you may get an annoying rash, which I have never had. I've done a lot of research on herpes as well and even the CDC doesn't recommend screening in the absence of any symptoms (outbreaks, rashes etc.) since even if it's a positive test the psychological stress isn't worth it.

On the other hand my T levels are in the low end of normal which is something I was concerned about. This last year my energy has gone down and I don't bounce back from workouts like I used to. I had just chalked it up to being in my mid 40's but a buddy who's into lifting and Xfit said I should get the T checked.

My doc has put me on Clomid 25mg once a day. I'm on my third day and overall I feel slightly more focused and energetic. I also went shopping during lunch today and it felt like every woman, young or old would glance over at me as I walked by. Not eye fucking, but more of a general acknowledgement of my presence. I'm thinking it's more a placebo but it will be interesting to see what happens over the next month.

I wonder if I should get that checked out also I'm pretty young though, I still fee solid in the gym and my T levels are probably decent.

My cholesterol came back high too but my diet has been crap and I know I can drop that level a lot by eating cleanly. The doc suggested that we text again in 3 months. I need to lose about 10lbs of body fat too so I'm hoping with a better diet and a higher T level my overall health, energy and drive will improve.

As for taking cholesterol meds one word: don't! Statins are really scary meds and the side effects are nothing to mess with. My dad has tried them a few times and had horrible reactions. With you being young you should be able to get that cholesterol in check through diet and working out.

Steamed Broccoli (3 times a day)

Guys, do not take statins. You can lower your cholesterol by natural means. Eat oatmeal. It has a substance called beta glucans which will help reduce LDL (bad type) cholesterol. Avocados and nuts are also good choices. If you live in the US, Sam's Club does monthly health screenings which usually include a cholesterol test. You can measure your progress this way instead of paying for blood panels from doctors every month.

Absolutely do it. Best $$ you can spend, I am mid-40s also and have been on the cream for over a year and mood improves, drive improves, boners improve and it so much easier to add muscle and lose fat. I have lost 14 lbs total since mid-January, probably mostly fat but also adding muscle, just eating clean (no processed carbs) and lifting as heavy as I can. Also helps with depression.

@kaotic: Are you drinking any soda or consuming any hidden sugar on a regular basis? From what I've read it's the sugar and not the fats that raise the cholesterol and trig levels.
