Some good news:

C-Note · 2017-04-07 10:56:00 · #61681
Iran has been using Syria as a proxy to train their officers in actual combat and test some of their weapons. The US military tracked an aircraft from that airfield doing that bombing run that resulted in the release of those chemical weapons. It's possible that the chemicals actually belonged to the rebels and were released by the bomb from that Syrian aircraft. But, the aircraft could also have been dropping Iranian gas, because Iran does have a chemical weapons program. It's possible that the aircraft was actually flown by an Iranian pilot.

If that's the case, then the strike may have really been a message for Iran to step off. If a safe zone is going to be established in Syria, then third party actors trying to use the conflict as a proxy need to remove themselves.

http://abcnews.go.com/International/eyew...d=46641107

Syrian military officials appeared to anticipate Thursday's night raid on Syria's Shayrat airbase, evacuating personnel and moving equipment ahead of the strike, according to an eyewitness to the strike.
Dozens of Tomahawk missiles struck the airbase near Homs damaging runways, towers and traffic control buildings, a local resident and human rights activist living near the airbase told ABC News via an interpreter.

Local residents say the Russian military had used the airbase in early 2016 but have since withdrawn their officers, so the base is now mainly operated by Syrian and Iranian military officers. There is also a hotel near the airport where Iranian officers have been staying, though it was not clear whether it was damaged.

Former National Security Adviser and ABC News contributor Richard Clarke said this attack, one of the quickest displays of force by a new president in recent history, is largely "symbolic."

And now, the Pentagon affirms that there won't be any more strikes...

So, it seems that the whole thing was, well, no pun intended, but blown out of proportion. Blush

No Russian victim or loss of material. Only 4 Syrian military (who might possibly have been bad guys involved in the mysterious gas attack, or even unruly Iranians) dead. No strategic gain for ISIS.

Meanwhile, MSM has its collective leftist mouth shut off for good, no more "too friendly with Putin" whine, no more "you're heartless Hitler, literally"...

4th-D chess indeed: D. Trump forces MSM to acknowledge and print that he is actually a good guy with a kind heart, and not "weak on Russia", and all of that at a very moderate cost on V. Putin and even Al-Assad.

All President Trump has to do now, is increase the strikes on ISIS (thus compensating Assad for the prior, unsavory air-base strike), and offer some symbolic appeasement (or compensation) to V. Putin (a partial lifting of the -scandalous- anti-Russian sanctions devised by Obama? recognition of Crimea maybe?)...

So, D. Trump can very well at the end of the day find himself politically reinforced, having won a big battle against MSM, and at a reasonable cost (Al-Assad, and more importantly the Russian President, can get well-deserved political or strategic compensations further down the road).

Now, the most worrying cost to bear, in this whole incident, seems to be the disenchantment that the traditional, Conservative base of D. Trump's voters, are feeling right now. Well, this can be mended:
Hopefully D. Trump will soon do something to reassure his hard-working base. I'm thinking, for instance: starting the construction of The Wall, by putting the first stone himself at a yuuge ceremony! That would bring security and satisfy his voters.
(Edit: or having N. Gorsuch confirmed, which just happened: cause enough to celebrate and, generally-speaking, push Syria worries far from mind)

I agree overall, but this is the line.

I did not vote for Trump because I wanted America to lead another regime change coalition. I could've voted for Yeb(!) or the hag for that.

Let the Middle East sort out its own problems. We need to stay the fuck out for once.

Yeah I agree I don't think we should be in the nation building business either, and it goes against some of his campaign rhetoric to stay out of certain countries and work on the US first. But he also mentioned he wanted to bring peace to the MidEast region on things like Israel/Palestine, Iran, Iraq etc, so it's more of his A/B testing of dual solutions to problems. He's always got an "out" no matter how he plays things, he just does a lil bit on this side, a lil bit there, and waits to see the public's reaction.

So to me this seems like a one time thing, he lets a few countries know he means business, lets them know he's not in Putin's pocket, and it catches everyone's attention for a few days while he works in some other areas. Let's just wait and see how things play out and keep updated on the info before we rush to judgment and condemn the Man.

How many people secretly want WWIII to happen? We see all the Neocons and some of the Left wingers pushing for U.S. intervention in Syria which inevitably will lead to escalation with Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and China.

We have the Bible that prophesies a world war. The Battle of Gog and Magog which scholars debate the actual location of Magog as being either present day Russia or Turkey. Israel will be invaded and a World War will start in which 2 Billion people die as a result. Add in technological advances that seem to be ushering the Mark of the Beast as a RFID chip and we have ourselves a large group of people expecting WWIII as being imminent.

On top of this, Shiite Muslims (Iran) have their own end times prophecy in which Shiites and Sunni Muslims are pitted against each other.

Source
[According to Shiite believers, such as former Iranian president Ahmadinejad and Supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei, the fulfillment of the prophecy is one where Shiites believe the ultimate savior of humankind and the final Imam of the Twelve Imams, the Mahdi, will emerge with Isa (Jesus Christ) in order to fulfill their mission of bringing peace and justice to the world. Of course, this time, Jesus fights for Shia Muslim. This is why some Muslims claim not to have a problem with Jesus, just Christianity.]

What about the secular world? Well...society has been desensitized to War by the media and predictive programming in movies, video games and other forms of media have almost made our generations intrigued by the idea of war. Violence is cool and we all want to see the effects a nuke has on a big city (Just not too close to us).

A lot of people are distressed by their own lives and constantly live in expectation of their life being interrupted by world war. They imagine what they would do if war broke out. Would they have to leave their jobs? Would they be forced to become survivalists and arm themselves for protection?

We already know that the Globalist Elites love war...

To me, it seems like a vast majority of the population want/expect War in the near future...

World War III seems inevitable.

Going strong i highly respect your opinion and views especially on politics but man, if the president of the fucking usa launches strikes just to shut the media up, then what hope is there for anything.

In game we say the man who reacts to the woman loses, that makes him a completely useless president.

To me the blood of even one soldier is worth more than all these considerations. If he launches strikes to appease media do you think theyll let him be if he then turns around and reinforces assad and putin?

These soldiers lives dont grow on trees man. Jihadists have 20 children and send them all to die. The people resisting them are rare. The numbers are low. They arent pawns in chess games with tv stations. Honestly other than our own wishful thinking, what foreign policy step has Trump made that indicates hes in any way close to our way of thinking?

Pretty much all his appointments were neocon wet dreams. Yet we kept hoping that it was some kind of 99999 level chess game.

The world is in a 2d chess game.

Theres the globalists + israel + arab regines against russia+ iran + syria.

American and european conservatives and christians must decide where they stand.

Exactly that Enoch. Some people jump too quickly into some conclusions. It was not the first time. For example, a year ago, when Trump lost Iowa, there was a lot of despair on this forum - despite the fact that, in the grand scheme of things, the loss of Iowa was rather insignificant (and even normal, when we look into the past Republican elections).

You can call me a Trump bot, but I am not worried too much about the recent developments (Bannon and Syria). Forget about all the crap that NYT (looking at you Roosh) and the TDB (looking at you Dusty) are writing. NYT was lying during the whole election, and everything that comes from them is a lie. Trump calls NYT ''failing'' for a good reason - they had to let go a lot of people at the start of this year (you don't do that if you are successful), and were even forced to beg their subscribers to stay.

Think I am joking? Take a look:

Quote:This morning, Arthur O. Sulzberger Jr. and Dean Baquet, the publisher and editor, respectively, of The New York Times, took it one step further in a letter emailed to subscribers. “Did Donald Trump’s sheer unconventionality lead us and other news outlets to underestimate his support among American voters?” they asked. Some subscribers may read that as just more excuse-making and not the plea for forgivenness they might have expected. But the letter also reflected the Times’ fear of losing all-important subscribers to its print and digital editions at a time of plummeting advertising revenue and challenges from online news venues.

http://deadline.com/2016/11/new-york-tim...201853190/

As far as TDB (The Daily Beast for those that are not familiar) is concerned...guess who is the one of the owners...Hildabeast Jr. (a.ka. Chelsea Clinton)!. Trusted source my ass!

Some guys are also sceptical (again, looking at you, Roosh Big Grin) about Breitbart. Yes, they have their flaws, of course (were aginst us during Meetup outrage, Milo, some internal conflicts...), but still...they are a hundred times more credible than all the Opposition Media. The market (almost) never lies - they are more popular than any other Opposition Media outlet.

As far as Bannon is concerned, my thesis that he was moved away in order to protect him (and by larger extent, Trump)...is likely correct.

https://www.rooshvforum.com/thread-48360...pid1543168

Check this out:

Quote:One day after what was demonstrably one of the most-covered stories by the media focused on the “removal” of Steve Bannon, President Trump’s top adviser, from the National Security Council (NSC), he attended a council meeting, the Washington Examiner reported on Thursday.
“White House chief strategist Steve Bannon has attended the first meeting of the National Security Council after he was removed from the principals committee Wednesday,” the Examiner story said.

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/...g-removed/

If he was fired, he would lose his security clearance.

He didn't.

If he was fired, he would not be in a high security meeting!

He did attend!

Bannon is an ideologist, not a strategist. Ideologists are kept waaay behind combat lines. Bannon, being in NSC, was on the front line - and that is why he was hounded by the Opposition Media 24/7. Moving him out from the NSC is a smart move - I don't think that Kushner was involved (and yes, he should be punished for leaking and his coat be confiscated).

As far as Syria is concerned, I would rather wait and see how the situation will develop - he ain't that dumb.

EDIT: There will be no more airstrikes. Thanks GS!

Disappointed in the course of affairs like many of you are. A glimmer of hope I have is that Trump more then any other politician seems to have a pretty good pulse on what his public and base is feeling so hopefully that will get through to him and make him realize that he must absolutely must not go further in this direction.

Someone posted a rumor from Axios about how Bannon might be on the chopping block. If he gets the boot then that'll be a huge sign that the agenda that Trump was getting elected on is going to be getting ejected as well and the next 4 years will unfold in the same way as if Jeb/Rubio/Kasich got elected. For me personally that would be a huge sign to get off the Trump train.

This is huge, a grand slam. Gorsuch will be on the court decades from now. On top of that, he is at least as principled as Scalia, arguably more so. He is probably the most conservative jurist on the court now, but has twice the gravitas of Clarence Thomas.

On top of that, Trump faced the challenge of replacing the irreplaceable Scalia, and may have upgraded at the position.

The national media will downplay this because he is principled and is pro-life, but this is a big win.

VP Dick Cheney and the neocohens knew what they didn't know, they just didn't give any fucks about risk and they knew their moron front man dubya would take the fall for any mistakes. You can tell Cheney was aware of his government's culpability in the Iraq invasion by his treatment of the lovely Valerie Plame Wilson.

Cheney took Ms. Plame's beautiful scalp in an effort to do damage control because Plame knew what the government didn't know, and she was talking about it. She continued to talk about it in her excellent book, which I have read (and I doubt that you have and I encourage you to do so Brewdog).

I'm very happy Gorsuch is confirmed, I needed that after yesterday.

I'm still nervous about a 5-4 split, though. If it's a popular conspiracy theory that John Roberts was threatened to force him to vote for Obamacare, I wouldn't put it past the globalist goons to do the same for Alito...or, hell, Roberts again when it comes to the immigration ban.

Also, someone clear something up for me. The media is going bonkers over how Gorsuch got nuked in and it's horrible - yet a quick look on Wikipedia shows me that Clarence Thomas was confirmed by an even narrower margin (52-48) and Samuel Alito was under 60 too (58-42). Is the sixty-vote rule for Supreme Court nominations just willy-nilly gotten rid of whenever, and nobody remembers?

Actually, the Trump train analogy is very accurate: all of us and all of the Western world are on the Trump train. The train is running, fast, too fast to jump off (one would break his legs in the fall) it... So, we all hope this train runs towards a great and successful future and destination, and if not, we'll know soon enough. Too late for second-thoughts...

Note: concerning the 4 casualties at the airbase; it is indeed very unfortunate. Let's hope they were rogue Syrian officers or Iranian activists bearing some kind of responsibility in the gas attack?

Moral relativism and the choice of lesser evil are bullshit memes:

Why did these men have to die for something that was likely to be false anyway?

Someone wanted to show a strong sign of force towards what? Towards the lies perpetrated in the mainstream media?

And even if they wanted to show something, then they might let just as well have the US Ambassador call Syria and tell them when and where they are striking so the Syrian men can move off the site.

I will never condone the killing of anyone for bullshit lies and propaganda or to appease the McCain-neocon-Soros-globalist faction.

What happened now is a sign, not yet full proof that President Trump will follow globalist orders 100%, but it is not an encouraging sign indeed.

We will see whether more actions like that will follow.

The worst thing we can do is not apply any pressure to Trump. When he cucks, he must be punished for it. He's got Ivanka and Kushner whispering in his ear, we are much further away from him than those two, so we must be loud, very loud. The worst thing we can do is just sit passively and "hope" that Trump comes to his senses.

He's had our unconditional support and now he's cucking. Let's do some "A/B testing" of our own by putting his feet to the fire and see if that works better.

It was natural that there would be a wish that Trump would be completely different from what came before him. I was skeptical, given his history, his character, and his words. But I was willing to give him a chance to see what he might do.

But to me it's now clear that he's not much different from all the others. At the end of the day, it's just business as usual. Maybe a better analogy would be: Trump is flying by the seat of his pants. He's an "ad hoc" president. He has no real fixed, deeply-held belief system. He's an opportunist who's out for himself and his family. He's a thin-skinned egoist, lacking any real depth of character. He doesn't read, has no curiosity about the world, and has the attention span of a ferret on a double-espresso. He'll say and do anything at the moment to satisfy whatever whim needs to be taken care of.

Clinton would have been just as bad.

There's been way too much projection of our own wishes and desires on to this president. Instead of looking and seeing what's right before your eyes, we tend to see what we want to see.

When you say, "Well, then what hope is there for anything, then, if he's just like all the others?"

My answer is the same as it has always been:

Stop looking to political figures to solve your problems or to advance you in life. You're on your own, and always have been. No one is going to save you. What we need are spiritual revolutions--upheavals of the soul--and not political revolutions. These political "leaders" are all owned by big business and foreign governments. They hate you and want to see you marginalized and sent to oblivion. Trump is not your savior. He doesn't give a damn about anyone but himself and his family.

Look to yourselves. The truth lies within you. It does not lie outside you. And it definitely does not lie in Trump.

In this era of lies, hypocrisy, and false "god emperors" (what a bloody sham), the only solution is to turn away from the evil and elevate yourself. Improve yourself. You now have to be bigger, better, stronger, faster, and tougher than ever before. You have to be stronger now than you ever thought you could be. Because we have all been sold out and left by the wayside. But they underestimate us...our power and your power. When the time is right, the dividend of all your hard work will be paid. But the road will be long, bitter, and full of despair along the way. You need to dig deep now.

Our renaissance begins only when this point is truly understood.

I respect your opinion HCE, and no I wasn't including you in my view.

But like a previous poster said, this seems like it was a simple slap on the wrist sort of maneuver. A gas attack was launched from a chemical weapons base in Syria, a provocation of sorts, and that base was subsequently destroyed for it. We didn't launch an invasion, we haven't toppled Assad's regime, we just slapped him down for this instance, and told him not to do it again. It hurts alliances with Russia, but strengthens alliances on many other sides in the Middle East, as well as domestically with D's & R's.

Trump is an ad-hoc president for sure, he doesn't have a fixed belief system, and he has always been pragmatic and just goes with what works best in the moment. He speaks in A/B phrases for the express purpose of always leaving himself an out no matter what happens, so he can always maneuver himself into a WIN. He absolutely has been flying by the seat of his pants, but I think he is probably doing as good of a job accomplishing his goals and appeasing all sides as one man could be expected to do so far.
