Funny thing is, these two questions "how's your search" and "who's with you there" always come up, in this exact some wording.

The condos look actually okay and rents in these areas are about 40-50k, what I'm wondering is, are these real estate agents idiots, or if not, how are these condos such a bad investment that the only way they can sell them is this insane financing?

8k per month on my current income is literally next to nothing and I wouldn't mind a rental property (or a place to live should I decide to move there one day)

I'd agree with everything you said, expect I would add "unless you clearly state otherwise" as well. It's not as common to meet women willing to pay their own way here, but it does happen. I've met some that foot the bill more than me.

Whatever you do, just make sure it's clear who's paying for who before you leave and not after.

Don't hesitate to speak your mind with these girls.

Pretty much what BB said, the thing is Phil is not a western European country, income inequality is rampant and it's not uncommon to meet a girl that makes 10 times the median income.

Your wording sounds like the girl would be going there anyway and is willing to pay for your flight to come with her. If that was the case I would just pay for the hotel and go on a laycation for a couple days, provided the girl is hot enough.

Usually these offers mean that you start paying now and they deliver the final product to you in 2 or 3 or 4 years time when they have built it (hopefully!).
So the 0% interest rate means that the developer is actually paying you 0% for the use of your money.
I never cease to be amazed at how these people can pitch some of this stuff with a straight face.

I will be interested if you find deals like this, offering immediate possession?

If a girl doesn't have loot, sure I pay when we do things. But if she's bugging me to take her on vacation and wants me to foot the bill (whether we've been on a first date yet or not), I'm going to laugh her ass right out the door. What the hell do I look like - a white ATM machine on two legs? And with new women I'm very careful to make sure money never does the talking for me, even if that means I lose the lay.

In any case, my attitude doesn't leave me lonely. I was really curious about that too and went in to one of the offices of a new tower with one of the real estate brokers, promising to sell a brand new prime location luxury condo for just a small downpayment and very affordable monthly payment.

I got him to break down the deal and basically, the advertised price is what you pay monthly for a couple of years before you are allowed to move into it. Once you can move into it (and assuming the developer doesn't go bankrupt in the meantime), the payments shoot up to very high.

They are no way near as good deal as they appear to be, especially considering that even the 5-10 year old Condos there seem a little bit dated compared to the constant supply of new ones going up.

I'd bet the best place for scoring a Korean girl in Phil is Boracay. When I was there I saw tons of Koreans, considerably more women than men, though still in groups. They’re in vacation mode and there to have some fun for a few days, so less likely to have hangups about sleeping with a random guy than they would if they’re staying in Cebu, Manila, or Angeles semi permanently to study English. I got the impression that Koreans tend to look down on Filipinos, and since many Westerners come over exclusively to sleep with Filipinas, sleeping with a Westerner is a loss of face for a Korean girl.
