If you're going to Manila to get laid then you should be trying to maximize logistics to do it as much as possible.

Re-read my initial post on the topic. I said don't stay there for this very reason. I was essentially saying let's just not be drama queens about it.

"It's a bad idea to rent a place in this area" is a lot different than saying "stay the fuck away x1000." Like I said, you guys were laying it on a little thick.

Having a pool in Manila is a smash facilitator. It's always hot there, and a pool is a luxury item most Filipinas don't have easy access to. So, "hey do you want to go swimming" is a good way to get her back to your condo. Then in the pool, you both are scantily dressed. A lot of exposed flesh. You should be fine in March, if a bit overwhelmed by the heat. Monsoon season doesn't start until June. Regarding the rainy season, I wouldn't write it off entirely. I spoke about this briefly earlier in the thread:

The areas shaded in purple are areas that I would expect to be at risk of Typhoon exposure. The intensity normally drops off as the storm moves east to west. I was in touch with someone in Cebu during Typhoon Haiyan, and they said Cebu was relatively unscathed compared to Tacloban, which was flattened. Cebu is only about 100 miles west of Tacloban. Mindanao is rarely affected.
