Nope but I have told him about roosh. I think he mostly likes heartiste because of his social commentary and political leanings. Not so much for the game aspect.

RE: How did you end up in Roosh V Forum?
Pre-red pill
Googles: "How to pick up girls"
Finds The Art of Charm with Jordan Harbinger.
Listens to the early stuff. Huh, this kind of makes sense and doesn't sound sleazy. (basic game concepts such as not pedestalizing, how women will test you, etc.) I'm a little uncomfortable where they say it's good for women to be involved in open relationships and to *explore* themselves, but I can't articulate why it's bad for women to do so. Oh well.
Still feels like something's missing. The Art of Charm didn't really tickled my interests for philosophy and why a man should know game in such a context. It was mostly salesman, less philosophy, and that's why I don't listen to the Art of Charm anymore. They've gone the way of the corporation (and pretty PC I suspect--it's no longer "Pickup Podcast," it's now about business skills"), which I suppose is a good business plan. Just that after taking the red pill this stuff wasn't quite up my alley.

Somewhere along the line when I continue to google how to pick up girls, I find out about the "red pill" and the three R's: Roosh, Roissy, and Rollo.
I remember actually: I came across Return of Kings first. Some of the articles explained why people behaved the way they did, and offered philosophy along with game. Huh. Then Return of Kings led to RVF.

I was already reading ROK. Had a holiday planned solo, was googling for info on about gaming there. One of the links was this forum so I decided to join.

Was looking for links about how to dance with girls.

Found the Samseau's guide.

We always disagree on our political views, but on game aspects you are a source of inspiration!!

RE: How did you end up in Roosh V Forum?
I was a broken man after this soulcrushing breakup and began searching online for a new woman, but crucially also to try and find out where I'd gone wrong and how not to make the same mistakes again.
I first of all came across The Seduction Bible website with Bobby Rio and Mike Stoute and began reading their articles and listening to their podcasts, some of which was very amusing and gave some good pointers for how to get off your ass and improve your interactions with women.
That got me started and from there I began reading and watching some David De Angelo.
Not sure exactly how but I shortly afterwards stumbled onto Roissy's website and was initially stunned by what I read.
For a hardcore beta, some of the stuff I was reading was seriously anathema, but I persevered with it and found some tremendous information, especially the 16 Commandments of Poon which really shook up my blue pill worldview of women and society in general.
I think it was a link on Chateau Heartiste which led me to Roosh and shortly afterwards the forum.
Now I'm a different person to who I was back in 2009/2010 when I regularly put ordinary unremarkable women on the pedestal.
There's no unswallowing the red pill and sometimes it can feel lonely when much of what surrounds you is blue pill land, but overall I'm very glad I woke up and saw the true nature of women and the world we live in.

Yeah it's funny how I will agree with some guys on here 100% when it comes to women and game, but disagree 100% when it comes to their social and political views, such is life though I suppose.

When I first joined this forum over 5 years ago it was pretty much just about gaming women and traveling, now it seems like political/social commentary has taken over. There are some guys who post on every political thread who are high repped, but I can't recall ever once seeing them post on any of the other sub forums, (game, travel, lifestyle), etc.

I guess this is just a natural byproduct of Roosh's views, writing, outlooking, etc., since he seems to mostly be shifting his focus to the political, social, cultural arena. This is his forum with his namesake after all. Maybe I'm just nostalgic of the old days of RVF, but sometimes I wish that all the political, social, etc. discussion could be moved to a different site/forum all together, maybe ReturnofKings?

Any how after having my warning level go up for questioning the mainstream thought on here, I have basically decided to forgo participating in a lot of the political threads, and I have a feeling I'm not the only one.

RE: How did you end up in Roosh V Forum?
^ Speaking as one high-repped member, I feel like I've said just about everything I've ever wanted to say about Game. Women are actually fairly simple, and there isn't a whole lot to say about them. I rarely give Newbs advice on the Newbie forum because it's too harsh for them and they ignore it, and most of the top threads on the Game forum are like those big mega-threads like Tinder or whatever. It's not very interesting for guys who like to get laid in the real world. I still give game advice to those who ask for it via PM.

It's a truism, but all men eventually outgrow Game. After 20+ different girls and hundreds of sexual experiences, I can't see how any man isn't looking toward the future (family, career, or other aspirations). The core basics of approaching and getting laid haven't changed, and all the info is already there. At this point, helping newbs to game is mostly just showing them what other people have already written.

Also, I am always gaming women, but I don't care about sharing it with anyone, nor do I think I could share my tips for finding cute girls with anyone and expect them to profit from it. As I get better with Game, it becomes less about what I say and more how I say it, and the niches I find girls at are so remote that there's no way to reproduce the results for other men. And on RoK my articles about Game are basically a free game guide as far as I'm concerned.

It's not the vets I'm worried about here at RVF, it's more of the newbies coming in. Where are the new game innovators? Who is best of the fresh blood? Why are all the Game threads just mega-threads? Does anyone under 24 still game the old fashioned way or does everyone just tinder? Game is becoming fucking lame!!

Politics are way more exciting.

RE: How did you end up in Roosh V Forum?
I got here through Buzzfeed.

It was one of the many MSM outlets that piled hate on ROK after Tuth dropped “5 Reasons To Date A Girl With An Eating Disorder.” But the staff at Buzzfeed were particularly stupid because they interviewed him. It was a 10/10 troll job that got me interested enough to check out the article that bitches were griping about on FB.

I impulsively hate-read ROK for a couple weeks, but everything made too much sense. The rest is history.

I was lurking on google trying to find how to get weed in a cruise ship, ended up reading a post on how to get laid on a cruise ship.

Read Roosh's e-book in the cruise hip.

It was a profitable trip.

Mimikop, can you explain your conversion further?

I am really interested in how your hate-reading turned into actual agreement.

I've always sort of held Roosh's views, so, I don't have a context for such a radical change in opinion.

Were you just around liberals, so, you were liberal without really thinking deeply about politics and relationships with women?

I found this site when I had my first foreign girlfriend and looked up why are european women better.

22 here. I go almost entirely social circle these days(volunteering at the international student office was genius), never liked online stuff much other than for pipelining before landing in a new country.

When I'm in greener pastures I do more approaches, but in the US it's not worth the bother. I'd rather keep a couple nice international student plates spinning and focus mostly on making money to escape this wasteland.

Sure. Never really was a liberal. Grew up in a conservative home in Germany. But four years in a progressive university didn't help. I would probably say that I went in a conservative and came out a moderate.

Back in 2013, I had just finished up college. I definitely had white knight and beta tendencies and was someone who was struggling to make sense of why my attempts to get into LTRs with girls I liked didn't work out most of the time. I was someone who put pussy on a very high pedestal and believed that setting myself apart from men who were manipulative jerks was the key to winning women over.

When I was tipped off to ROK and started reading the articles, I remember thinking "wow, these people are really fucked up." These are the same men I despise who make it so hard to deal with women. Who thinks that dating a girl with an eating disorder is a good thing? Why do they think most women are sluts? What's with the militant fat shaming? I read ROK at first not because I agreed with what was being said, but because I wanted to see what outlandish thing would be said next.

But despite my motive, I was getting answers to why I wasn't getting what I wanted from women and why people who are beta struggle to get to where they want to be in life. I didn't want to believe it at first (the red pill rarely goes down smoothly without prior exposure), but it made sense at every front. The analysis and paradigm offered on ROK made far more sense than googling "nice guys finish last" or trying to make sense of the drivel that women put out there under the guise of relationship advice.

Whether you come across the red pill and game because of some existential crisis or simply because you wanted to bed hotter woman, it doesn't make a great deal of difference in the end. The change in the way you see the world before and after is as stark as day and night.

I came here indirectly, after starting to write for ROK. I had never participated in any sort of internet forum or chatroom, so I was confused at first about how all this worked.

It seems hilarious now, but I remember when I wrote my first couple posts and saw the "hazing" labels that show up above a new guy's name, like "male feminist."

I remember thinking: "male feminist"? Did I say something that made the moderator think I was a male feminist troll?

Then I asked another guy and he told me it didn't mean anything...it was just a joke.

Days of innocence.

Somebody hate shared one of the more viral ROK articles on Facebook.

As you all know, ROK articles are packed full of links, and so began for me a solid 3 day odyssey, link after link, all weekend. Click, read, click, read, repeat...
All the things I had been thinking since high school but were contrary to mainstream thinking were confirmed, and all the blanks I could never understand were explained.
For months after that in my spare time I continued reading pretty much the entire back catalog of ROK and associated articles. Of course I was eventually led here and did much the same thing, reading the entire back catalog of major threads, keeping up with the new ones and eventually joining.

Indirectly. I got onto Return of Kings via a feminist own-goal: the article which asked the question "What is Your Cost Per Orgasm?" was getting lambasted on a news.com site, and for some reason I decided to go find the article and read it up. I couldn't in my heart dispute the cold economics contained there, and clicked around a bit more.

I was already semi-prepared for the red pill as I'd worked in a leftie organisation for three years and had seen about as much as I'd wanted to see. I also had the benefit of regular libertarian injections from John T. Reed's website -- though he has nothing to do with the red pill, he's a blunt writer and thinker and he undid a lot of the bullshit Robert Kiyosaki's books had filled me up with.

Then I read the article "You Are Responsible For Nobody But Yourself". That was it. Change in my thinking. And here I am.

I was a fan for a long time, mainly from the redpill subreddit and the "Bang" series of books. A post came up on the redpill reddit that was critical of Roosh's speaking tour, calling him a money grabber and such, I wasn't fond of the drama so I decided to switch forums.

I noticed one of the stops was in Washington DC so I drove up and attended, met a bunch of cool people, partied, decided to join and stay in touch with a few.

I'd really like to hear how the folks I met in DC have been lately.

It was late 2011. Found one of Roissy's maxim on a video game froum I used to frequent. Did a google search for the whole list. Found Roissy's Chateau(this was before the change to Heartiste).

A guy named Roosh V used to comment on his posts back then. I clicked his avatar and found Roosh's blog. I saw the link for the forum, lurked a few weeks and signed up the next month.

Oh and I deleted my account on that video game forum too.

I'd just moved to Europe and was looking for tips to game Euro chicks and searching for a wingman.

It's funny, when I joined in 2012 my first year or so on RVF was spent almost exclusively on posting and reading about game. Rarely visited the "Everything Else" section. Today it's the opposite. Only once in awhile will I venture into the game section. I suppose in a way I've evolved along with the community.

RE: How did you end up in Roosh V Forum?
The LTR I just got out of led me to find this forum. I was losing value in the relationship quick, I was acting in a way that I never thought I would, being overly controlling and pety. I googled something along the lines of "Acting Beta in a relationship" and this forum came up.

I have to say that one single moment changed my life more than anything else.

I had no idea of game/no motivation/no vision I was kind of floating through life hoping money and vagina would fall into my lap (The vagina did but not as regularly as I would of liked and I always found it through easy ways like social circles and whatever happened to be there)

I ended up spending the best part of 6 months + going through everything I could find on here and it helped me get from having no job / no car / a girlfriend that thought I was a little bitch. To having a job that doesn't pay great but works around what I'm doing outside of it, a car, and a girlfriend who started to go against me because she would not accept the man I was becoming from it.
