I keep hemming and hawing and going back and forth with actually replying in this thread. I've already typed up 2 responses and deleted them before posting because it seemed pointless to me but here it goes.
The short version here is that there is no "answer" or "solution."
The community here has changed over the last couple of years and now there's a sort of "new vs. old" thing we've got going on.
This forum used to be a place for men of action. Guys who went out, talked to women, got laid, traveled to different countries, learned languages and cultures firsthand, and shared their knowledge so others could do it/join them and exchange their knowledge in turn. Men who met up local and abroad and created a brotherhood and almost a sort of secret-society/good 'ole boys club ripe with camaraderie and mutual benefit.
Now this is a place of mostly typists who come on here to type up their opinions about socio-politics, popculture trends, business/finance, and etc. It's just a different place and the general membership has shifted. I won't comment on whether thats good or bad as it's purely up to one's own opinion, but this is just the fact of the matter.
The reason for the "beef" you may see from time to time is that of the few older members that are left, some of them like to try to maintain a sense of pride for the community and uphold some semblance of integrity and credibility of the membership and content.
There is no "fix" for this besides just letting the place continue to evolve organically as it is.
My theory is that gradually more and more of the old school crew will continue to post less and and less and fizzle out, move on, get banned, or whatever. A lot of the guys that have been here for 5-10 years are getting older, desires and tastes are changing, and likely feel that whatever value they got from here has run its course and whatever value they can give back would likely be useless or fall on deaf ears.
I find myself posting in here less and less. I pretty much only post in the fitness forum and a few random comments in game and lifestyle forums. I feel the travel forum is still quite valuable in an actionable sense at least for meeting up with people.

Good points. I'll always be grateful to this place for the real-world friendships I've gained from it. And they've come from both the game/travel stuff as well as more politics orientated guys.
One thing I suspect is that the guys who've left do post on other forums though. I'm not an active member of anywhere but here, so it's my only outlet and I'll probably stick around. It wouldn't surprise me if Speakeasy, Basil etc have simply moved on to places more fitting to their world view. Once you've started posting on forums, I imagine it's pretty hard to completely break from. I've tried. It also wouldn't surprise me if they still browse the forum without logging in.

The reason there is forum beef is because some high rep members think they run this forum and feel like they can harass newer members with immunity. There is definitely newbie trolls but the newbie trolls get banned quick. With some old high rep members they just go on and on with harassing people and nothing ever happens to them. All I have quited below is Scotian flaming me and that is from just one 2 page thread. He constantly calls me a faggot and acts tough, but then cries to the mods to ban me cause my views are different then his and I just got off a temp ban.
If you have different views then people like Scotian instead of debating with you in a civil manner they will call you a faggot harass you and then they will cry to the mods to get you banned. While the forum membership and topics of interest have changed, I think the moderation has been the single biggest factor in the forum's change. Roosh doesn't have the time/interest and Soma is only active sometimes. This is not a dig on them as it's not a paid position or anything, but we need someone a little more like Tuthmosis.
Whenever you go on this forum, imagine you are sitting down at a table with a group of other men with a bar built in the 1500s that still smells of earth, but yet has the rich aroma of fine cigars and good food. In fact you should grab a chair and sit down, sip on the fine scotch on the table, and light up a smoke. The music is a soft slow jazz in the background that's just audible enough to enjoy, while being low enough to invite conversation.
At this table, there's a group of men who've lived life. They have stories you've never heard, tales you need to hear, and wisdom you can't find anywhere else. Now sure they are some disagreements when they chat about the purpose of life, the way of the world, and what the future may hold, but you know their intentions are genuine and there's always a good reason behind their choice of words.
Now think about that as you hop onto the forum.
What would real men say to each other face-to-face vs the comfort of a keyboard? They would of course be honest, but respectful. Any kind of "beef" is a choice. We all should ask ourselves if we should even bother wasting the time to go down a path where there are choices of conversations and posts that involve forum "beef".
Now I enjoy observing forum beef and drama as much as the next person. We all enjoy the entertainment of our very own version of Internet Blood Sports.
Partaking in it though is something probably best avoided. Think about all of it for a moment. How much beef can you have with someone you've NEVER met? Okay, mean words - but words that are shared by a community of somewhat like-minded men. If it really bothers you, you can always enable the option to not see their posts. If you don't want to do that because you are still interested in some of their posts, it clearly doesn't bother you enough.
Apparently, we are all supposed to be men here. Apparently. What kind of alternative culture are we providing with drama over rather petty things that we can't overlook? Negative people are something best avoided. If you feel they are enough of a drag, don't bother engaging with them or simply admit you have differences and move on. Sure they might think they've "won" and it's somehow at your expense in front of the eyes of the rest of us, but who really cares?
You don't need to win. You simply need to put out your thoughts for all to see. That is after all the best way to really understand what you think and the positions you hold. Continually articulating them fine-tune and sharpen not just your ideas, but everyone elses. Life is short. Spend your time accordingly and stop wasting with it pointless drama. Don't take things personally. Assume the best, forgive the worst, and keep on going. Keep on learning.

This forum is a community, and when you join a community you learn the rules and act within them. Assuming you can jump in and ask stupid questions and not get told off by people here shows you don't know the first thing about the place.

Its just nature, we have this large audience of impressionable young men who are looking for the 'red pill', meaning they are willing to question the mainstream view on many issues in a search for the truth. Knowing how the world really works is a major strategic advantage but so is having a fix on the game by gained via disinformation. We ought to expect folks with all sorts of strange opinions to be attracted to any opportunity to make impressionable people into believers. Separating the nutbar audience-seekers from the actionable strategies is difficult, I appreciate the moderators for their efforts.
Many of these pills are tough to swallow, it can be helpful to rely on reputation when considering a challenging piece of advice. People are incentivized to puff up their reputations for the attention dopamine rush and the power that comes with having an audience, people also like to bust up one another's reps in an effort to take the audience for themselves. I for one resisted joining the audience for most of the political stuff until it started appearing on ROK, only then I was willing to consider the posts about demographic shift, JQ and whatnot. There is an obvious agenda behind the things that are now happening to men. We were more of game community then grew into quasi resistance movement because nobody else seems to be satisfying that demand properly. We need to figure out what we can do to turn the tide for men and I think the political and crypto topics can sometimes be useful for that. Some folks feel like we're facing extinction and get really dramatic in the discussions. I do like the idea of tiering off the politics in some way because the hysteria is not very productive. Most advice for how to affect greater change starts with shaping up one's personal life, 'clean your room' is a popular way of saying it. We'd have much better odds of success if our people were more skilled both in game and in life.
There is still a lot of valuable life-changing action happening in the game forums. I really hope you high rep posters don't abandon us in mass. The forum recently helped me get out of a bad LTR and I'll forever be grateful for that advice.
