As far as the most subversive I don’t think it’s any kids show with an actual plot like that. The really insidious ones are even earlier with shows like Barney that imprint you with ideas like how important it is to just unquestioningly love everyone different.
Well....I never thought of the Power Rangers suits matching the rainbow. That's a depressing thought if that is what was intended. Granted they actually the red ranger be alpha males.
Its interesting some of these things when you look at them, more than a century pink and red used to be men's colours represent masculinity and blue was used for girls now we think the opposite. Those were the general assumed colours children would be dressed in.Then you depictions of the Virgin Mary dressed in light sky blue and suddenly things become clear....

In regards to X-Men, I was always more partial to spin-offs Alpha Flight and Excalibur. Kitty Pryde calling hotter chicks heifers was hilarious and so true to life.

RE: Boycott Brie Larson's, Marvel's MCU film - Captain Marvel.
Unrelated to Brie Larson, but this recent news is related to Marvel Film about a possible female led for Thor 4. Also, there are rumors for female lead for "She-Hulk" and "Hawkeye".
A new rumor indicates that Thor 4 could feature a female led.
The rumor from Cosmic Book News points to an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Thor: Ragnarok actress Tessa Thompson noted she believes a pitch for a Thor 4 film has been made:
“I heard that a pitch has happened for [another “Thor” film]. I don’t know how real that intel is, but I hear that the pitch has happened. I think the idea is Taika [Waititi, who directed ‘Ragnarok’] would come back.”
She also discussed the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and how it will be more female-oriented when discussing a recent fan tweet showing Captain Marvel and Valkyrie together:
“It didn’t even occur to me, legitimately, that it was necessarily a romantic thing. I don’t even know what happens in the canon in terms of those characters or if they ever intersect, but I just love the idea of more women Marvel characters getting to intersect. I just think it’s so cool and it’s time and why not? There’s so many compelling female characters inside of the MCU.”
She added:
“And just selfishly, when I get to see those women in passing, they’re all such cool women. So the idea of getting to spend time with them and hang out is so fun. I’m just excited that this new phase promises to have women and queer folks.”
Back in 2017, in the lead up to Thor: Ragnarok’s release, Kevin Feige indicated he was open to the idea of a female Thor film. He spoke to Movies.com:
“We always look back to get those ideas … sometimes very specific storylines like “Civil War,” sometimes just nuggets or characters like “Planet Hulk,” So anything that’s happened in the comics, even a female Thor, become great potentials and the ideas from which future movies can be born.”
Tessa Thompson’s Thor: Ragnarok co-star Karl Urban even endorsed the idea of a female Thor film, “I think it’s time. I think it’s well overdue, absolutely. I’d love to see that movie, why not.”
A female Thor was introduced into the Marvel Comics continuity in 2015 by Jason Aaron and Russel Dauterman. The story revealed that Dr. Jane Foster was the new Thor after she took up the hammer to prevent her impending death from cancer.
Adding to the rumor is the current direction for the Marvel Cinematic Universe that Kevin Feige has stated it will take.
Feige noted the Marvel Cinematic Universe would have more female-led films:
“With [Ant-Man and The Wasp] and now with Captain Marvel and many movies to be announced in the near future, I’m anxious for the time where it’s not a novelty that there is a female-led superhero movie, but it is a norm. And it is less a story of, ‘Oh, look, a female hero,’ and it’s more a story of, ‘Oh, what’s this about? Who’s this character? I’m excited to see that.’ And I think we can get there.”
And it appears they will be introducing a number of those female characters on their Disney+ streaming service. There is a rumored Hawkeye series that is expected to see the torch passed from Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton to Kate Bishop.
Hawkeye isn’t the only rumored series, another one featuring Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk is expected to introduce She-Hulk aka Jennifer Walters.
Would you be interested in seeing a female-led Thor 4 film? What do you make of the current direction of the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

Heh:
Makeup is great.
Oh - spoilers for the Avengers movie:
It seems that they don't destroy the last movie too much.
But you can see where they are going - the old cast gets out, Captain America becomes Falcon - so just like in the comics - they take White characters and "diversify" them. Thor is a coward. Hulk is useless in the movie it seems. Tony at least saves the day and retires. A bunch of SJW heroes are coming soon anyway whether you like it or not. It's probably the last MCU movie they hold back the propaganda before Squirrel Girl, Mary Sue Captain Marvel, She-Hulk (who calls herself Hulk now), female Thor - they all take over.
I found actually already the propaganda in the recent movies too much - cannot imagine how it turns out in the new SJW ones. Oh - and they kill Black Widow, because hot women are a no-go. So she won't be getting a stand-alone movie - too sexy, too feminine, too nice, not enough feminazi cunt. They like only those now.

Either the Russo's or someone at Disney, were wise to limit the damage :
Avengers: Endgame set to shatter box office records with $850 MILLION as it emerges Karen Gillan's Nebula has THREE TIMES more screen time than Brie Larson's Captain Marvel
Screen time for all superheros has also been released, and while Chris Evans' Captain America bags the most time of them all with 1h 6 mins, it is Karen Gillan's Nebula who leads the pack for the females and bags three times for screen time than Brie Larson's Captain Marvel.

Who on earth keeps track of screen time for these movies? People can't just sit down and enjoy a movie anymore without taking their diversity-checker notepad and pen with them.
But why should it matter? Amount of time on screen does not equate to quality. How long was Boba Fett on-screen for in Empire? Couple of minutes maybe? Two or three lines? Yet nobody who saw it back in the day could forget him. Captain Larson just needs to make more of an impression with the time she gets I guess. Less is more. Try wearing a mysterious full-face mask and not talking.

It may seem a misallocation to give what was originally a minor character that much screentime in the MCU finale but damn, she made the most of it. And has anyone really seen what this woman looks like outside of makeup? Or her natural accent? She's got acting chops and I'm going to have to start following her more closely, although Jumanji 3 won't win her any awards.
I don't see a problem with female characters so much as the bland and boring way that SJWs write female characters (the Mary Sue syndrome). Nebula isn't an SJW character because she starts out as flawed as you can get and she changes. Nebula does something in this movie that symbolizes her character arc that I've never seen done before in a movie. The film has flaws but she was a standout.
Captain Marvel felt tacked on in this movie as a glorified cameo/plot-device. She added nothing and the film and does little to justify her having a huge role let alone a leadership position in the future Avengers.
It was a good movie but Infinity War managed to juggle the overloaded cast better. I think Infinity War is probably the single best epic movie of all time, despite the cliffhanger at the end.

My son wants to see it for his birthday so I'll report back after the weekend. @Quester70, yeah, there's nothing at all wrong with female characters in these movies, we'd all like to see them .... done right.
They just don't know how to write good characters for women these days without self-sabotaging with propaganda. But we all remember the good, strong, sympathetic female characters of yesteryear that were done right; Ripley, Sarah Connor, Vasquez ...

Well, Captain Marvel was as annoying as you'd expect in Endgame. Whenever she's on screen she's got the same arrogant, no-fun-to-be-had-here expression you all know. It's also pretty clear the writers didn't know what to do with her, and from a storytelling point they would have been better off leaving her out of the film. While nearly every other character is given some scene to humble them or show their inherent humanity, Captain Marvel largely just serves as the butt of the other character's jokes. There's a funny bit where she shows up with a new "look at me" dyke haircut and the raccoon gives her shit for it. Thankfully, she's largely absent from the bulk of the film, since in her own words she's "got more important things to do."
As for the film itself, it was honestly pretty entertaining. Simeon had a good observation earlier in the thread pointing out how Disney knows how to pick and choose its spots with their cultural programming. I've also noticed that there's less outright propaganda in the big Avengers movies, while more recent smaller films like Captain Marvel and Spiderman have been inundated with this shit. Spiderman Homecoming was the most egregious offender by far. I'm still amazed they didn't cut that scene where a random old black man rants about the Washington Monument having been built by slaves. Disney also knows to start young. Their animated films are incredibly subversive. Check out Cars 3 to see what messages they are peddling to young boys now (I wasn't surprised to see that there's even a RoK article about it).
For this film, you'll know the propaganda moments when you see it since they are so ridiculously over the top. We get a scene early on with some everyday people coping in the new world, and of course we hear some guy talking nonchalantly about how he's finally dating another guy now. Half the world's gone but hey at least we're still progressive enough to care about the fags having enough dicks left to pass around. And there's a girl power scene at the end that will likely make any forum member burst into laughter and any SJW complain about how much Marvel is pandering to them.
For the future, I fully expect Marvel to go full Year Zero now. The stage is set for the old, white men to move over and make way for the next diverse set of characters. While the ending does "subvert expectations," it's not quite at TLJ levels that you'll be expecting to see "directed by Rian Johnson" when the credits roll. I'm mostly curious to see how long the money train keeps rolling. Just based on anecdotal evidence from having seen Captain Marvel in China, it would not surprise me in the slightest if the allegations that Marvel or some other entity was buying up tickets for Captain Marvel to inflate its box office total were true.

She's a main character on several seasons of Doctor Who, and does a rather excellent job in that role.

Captain Marvel still comes across as a bitch in this movie, so don't expect much. She saps away all the attention since she's a Mary Sue Superman.

The rumors coming out were that Captain Marvel would save the day, she doesn't. She's barely in the movie at all and half of her screentime is a holographic conference call. In the end, like all great superhero movies, the good guys win through wit, determination and sacrifice, not some Mary Sue with her brute force and arrogance.

pls..no. Not you too Judge Dredd.
If anything, they should do a young Avengers movie. Ant Man and Iron Man have kids, maybe Thor, T'Challa and Steve do eventually too (grand kids probably), throw in a young Spiderman and it could be the next phase of Marvel movies. Maybe Spiderman is the elder team member when it happens... That would at least give a plausible reason to switch genders without it being all about girl power.
They did that in an animated movie years ago and, rather than She-Thor being a raging, entitled cunt, she was just trying to prove herself worthy of the name. Actually, actively trying and failing and having to learn from her mistakes and learn how be part of a team. Not even sure that kind of story works with today's youth.

She is only thing that was wrong with this movie. She felt so out of place in the film, and the feeling of relief when she left after like 10 minutes was so great. And when she comes back and just has to grab screen-time away from all the other characters that deserved more, it killed the immersion for me.
Seriously, why? Why was she needed? Why did they have to end the credits last movie for Captain Marvel? This movie would not have stayed intact, it would have been even better, if Captain Marvel wasn't in it.
God, she's absolutely vile without makeup. 29 and the wall is so far behind her she can't even see it.
And the less we say about those pancake tits the better.
EDIT: Actually she's only 23 in the picture. Even worse.
She looks like the dumpy little girl next door who grew up hating her absent/abusive daddy, then became an actress/college professor/lawyer and vowed to use her life to pursue and destroy men -- all of whom remind her of bad daddy. Look in her eyes. This is a badly damaged soul.

I saw clips of it already and Endgame looks to be a fun spectacle - as with the Avengers movies - they keep down the propaganda.
Saw recently Shazam (not giving them cash, but whatever) and it was in one way a fun movie, but in other ways a propaganda fest. Plus they picked the stupid angsty teen version of Shazam that was highly unpopular. Similar to Superman, who should have been a character of light and goodness - he was depicted as this young delinquest who occasionally does good and for some insane reason refuses the enticements of the dark side. But stealing and robbing cops is fine? The real popular Shazam should have been an innocent kid - his purity being the reason for his selection. It's a different kind of humor to build off that, but can be done - more in the version of BIG.
The amount of anti-White messaging, full on diversity pushing is insane. Plus they behead a statue of a founding father with a cowboy head in one scene. They literally change the entire story to push in Burger King foster children into the movie giving them all superpowers. And they really had to make his mom the evil woman who just up and left her kid. Seriously - all the bad guys are instantly White and the old wizard is Aboriginal for some strange reason. And that is a "good" superhero movie. Things will continue to get worse and worse until the West collapses and no one gives a shit anymore.
Recently I took a look at old superhero comics from the 1940s and 50s. It's a sad look at a world long lost - with a surprising amount of text, stories and old values that were meant to be inspirational to the young. Now they want to push their shit and simply hold back in the big movies like Avengers where they need to bring home the bacon. Then in the other movies they can go wild with crap and the people still go and watch it, so I guess they think that it almost does not matter. Even if they one day overdo it, then they reboot the franchises simply anew.
RE: Boycott Brie Larson's, Marvel's MCU film - Captain Marvel.
Quote:Marvel wants its movies to go inclusive, with gay and “body positive” role models. The way this may work as programming is it removes all need to aspire to improvement. If I am a kid and I see the Hulk, I may want to improve myself by lifting weights. I would aspire. I see Ironman, I might want to be a brilliant engineer. (((Their))) answer is to make the hero look overweight, and weird, rather than a fit, all-American, so it will not trigger aspiration.
RE: Boycott Brie Larson's, Marvel's MCU film - Captain Marvel.
During that girl power scene in the new Avengers movie, I was asking myself if the females all had some sort of special women-only earphone over which they decided to band together, literally.
