Trump's Comm Team, perhaps even Sessions and his Deputy, need to publicly reiterate why they asked Trump to fire him. His saltyness about why he thinks he was fired, is going to be 100% the narrative unless they come back hard and reiterate why he was fired. His personal feelings are going to be irresponsibly be used as a fact, because he and these Dems keep bringing it up. It's like someone whining about being fired from a job over being a certain skin color or whatever, but the HR dept. has a file of 15 things you did wrong or write ups. It's very dishonest and disingenuous.

I disagree. I don't think we are anywhere near that level of seriousness.

Basically all we have so far is that James Comey believes Trump is a liar and he makes him uncomfortable.

It actually makes it harder to cut down the liberal bullshit over Russia when real actual IT Security professionals are not able to publicly scrutinize what they found and claim as fact. Note that I am referring to calls for impeachment proceedings. One wanted to do this over a week ago. Trump will not get even close to an impeachment vote count, because it probably won't even get to votes. The problem is that it makes another cloud, and gins up the news cycle, bogs down Congress, hurts the healthcare and tax bills, etc.

That's the damage.

Even if the Dems end up looking stupid, it doesn't matter. We got into a tussle with a stupid person and it wasted our time as a result.

Comey was the stupid person. He needed to have been fired DAY 1 like I posted about many times before. Not months later. DAY 1.

Don't take my post as a chicken little the sky is falling, just laying it out honestly on what I think is going to happen, that's all.

No one can even provide a decent motive for the hacks either. If they were to say it was to help Trump or Hillary, even the press would be asking them for proof. By leaving it up in the air motive wise, no one will bother questioning it.

I repeat they did not hack our election, but they sure did put out disinformation with multiple modes of dissemination-They are not our friend and do not have our best interests at heart, and we view them the same way. We put out disinformation and attempt to destabilize their country-that is just how the game is.Hell, we are financing Neo Nazi/Fascists in a proxy war on Russia's border with Ukraine, that is a damn good motive for putting out disinformation during our election.

Russia and the US still calling each other adversaries and blaming each other for being evil with no details, let alone proof of it, is getting flimsier more and more which every passing year. I would not be surprised in 50 years if NATO does not exist and the US and Russia have at least a light alliance. Just a personal guess on my part, historians are going to rip these years up as cultural propaganda that had very little basis of truth to it.
