THE Liberal leadership is shaping up to be a three-way contest with Julie Bishop poised to make a run for the top job.
A senior Liberal source told news.com.au that the Foreign Minister would throw her hat in the ring in the event of a leadership spill tomorrow.
There has been growing pressure on Ms Bishop to declare herself as the third candidate to become prime minister, with members of cabinet “strongly” encouraging her to run, 7 News reports.
The other candidates vying to replace Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull are former home affairs minister Peter Dutton and Treasurer Scott Morrison.

A BLOKE from Texas is getting a lot of tweets today from people who think he wants to become Australian prime minister. He’s now considering it.
“I wish the people of Australia would look at my profile and realise I’m a 30 yr old black man before sending me tweets and DMs,” Mr Dutton, the Texan, posted today.
He tweets under the handle (@PeterDutton5) while the former Home Affairs Minister and prime ministerial contender is (@PeterDutton_MP).

But Austin’s Mr Dutton, who works for a gourmet popcorn company, is taking it in its stride. When someone suggested “Mate. It’s anyone’s game at the moment over here. Come try out for Prime Minister?” he said he was “packing his bags”.
“We could use a 30yo black man as prime minister instead of the ratbags we’re stuck with now,” said one.
“You would totally be welcome to come down and take over. You can stay at my place until they have the official residence ready for you,” John Nicolay said.

Turnbull was always the Prime Minister for the Eastern suburbs of Sydney.

He speaks less like a silvertail than Turnbull does, but that comes with being a former talkback host. When Robert Doyle, the former Lord Mayor of Melbourne, was accused of sexual harassment, he (like 2,000 other reasonably well-known men around the world) was given no chance to defend himself and is still presumed to be "guilty".

But when dear Emma, who also got her political office staff to pick up piles of dog turds, is accused and "exonerated" (only of the sexual harassment aspect) by the same party that protects women with mandatory quotas, suddenly a "sexist" mob is responsible for the complaints against her.

I'm also thinking of Paul Nungesser at Columbia University - he was "exonerated" by what is otherwise a kangaroo court and still found himself harassed and hounded until graduation and beyond.
